When I heard the result, my mood imdiately plumted.

Feng Ming looked at my dejected expression, laughed cheerfully, and tried to comfort . He patted on the shoulder and said, "At least he listened to you. If he hit you, it'd be lights out! Since he's willing to stick around with you, one day you'll keep him here for good. You'll have your chance. By daybreak, my seal will lift! You two can establish a connection; it's like using both hands. But right now, it's not what you think. The biggest issue is that this seat hasn't tasted at in thousands of years. Humans can't eat this way! Get so wild chickens or rabbits—they'll put their teeth to good use on those."

After hearing Feng Ming's words, I smacked my shoulder and said, "You want to do that? You should handle it yourself. Aren't you a tyrant and a king, Feng Ming?"

Feng Ming heard my complaint, bit twice, then sauntered lazily into the forest. As he walked, he said over his shoulder, "Watch show you the strength of a king, even if the king's magic power has faded! But am I seriously too busy to grab so wild chickens and rabbits?"

I watched Feng Ming slowly vanish and sat on the ground, resting leisurely. There was no way I was going out tonight. Without the moonlight, I couldn't figure out my bearings, and if I wandered off, I'd likely get lost in the depths of the forest.

After sitting for a while, a girl quietly ca to sit beside . I looked at her sideways, noticing her face, and my heart started racing uncontrollably. I saw her pick up sothing.

When we woke up the next day, I looked at Feng Ming, who had sohow used my feet as a pillow through the night, snatching one of my legs like a prize.

Thinking about all the nonsense this guy pulled last night made fu. Yesterday, while I was suffering from my sore, burned-out clothes, I handled cleaning the rabbits by the stream and brought them back to cook over a fire.

But when I finished cooking and was ready to eat, Feng Ming hopped straight over to the rabbit at and devoured it in front of ! After scarfing it down, he even had the gall to say it was a bit too hot! If he hadn't left quickly afterward, I might've roasted him over the flas instead.

Looking at this guy who followed around everywhere, I involuntarily sneezed. "You cold-hearted king! Why do you eat my food all the ti? Can't you at least spare my als?"

"This seat was trying to prepare food for you, too! But who knew your portion would be so easily swallowed?"

When I heard his excuse, I kicked him directly, only for him to leap onto a nearby tree. I could only glare at Feng Ming begrudgingly and sternly shout, "You're always like this! You'll never change for the rest of your life!"

By the ti morning faded into noon, I finally returned to Holy Pass. As I arrived at the gates, Feng Ming blocked my path.

He tried sniffing around with his elongated nose. I stared at him as he seed ready to make his way into the gate along with .

But just when I was about to step forward, Feng Ming stopped abruptly and said with a serious tone, "Don't move, kid. There are too many scents here that I don't particularly like."

I looked at Feng Ming but chose to ignore him entirely. Slowly, I opened the door and stepped inside. As soon as the door opened, it was utter chaos that greeted . Divine God's statue was knocked over, and the food on the table was scattered all around, as if a thief had rummaged through the place.

Hurrying toward the back, I shouted, "Auntie? Auntie? Where are you?"

Three masked n dressed in black suddenly dropped down from the rooftop. Slowly retreating to the wall, I cautiously asked, "Who are you people? Why are you after my aunt?"

"Kid, that's the exact question we were going to ask you. Where is the old lady who shares your surna? Speak now, or I'll kill you with raw vegetables!"

"I just got here. I don't know where my aunt is! I haven't seen her in days!"

They exchanged glances at , clearly uncertain about my sincerity. The one seated in the middle turned to his companions and said, "If that's the case, let's tie up the kid to lure the old lady out!"

Hearing their plan, I felt a sinking sensation, deterred from confronting them head-on.

Cautiously retreating further, I gained a distance, imdiately turned around, and began moving forward.

They quickly noticed trying to slip away and gave chase. Upon seeing farther away, the three n exchanged looks before one reached into his pocket. He pulled out a large yellow note, muttered a few words, and the note flew directly toward .

As I reached the door, a sudden golden light enveloped my body. The glow of the golden light trapped in place, leaving unable to move a muscle.

The three n ambled slowly toward . One of them patted the man holding the note on the shoulder, then turned to face and said, "I didn't expect you would take this long to get caught by the sealed mark! Hold on to your brother. Keep holding tight for your sibling!"

The man chuckled without answering his two questions. I couldn't see his full appearance, nor did I understand why they insisted on calling him "brother." It wasn't until much later that I discovered the reason behind it. They stared at the note and returned it. Naturally, drifting off-topic.

The man dressed in black pulled out a rope from his bag and began tying my hands behind my back tightly. Even though I still couldn't move, the sensation was still painfully sharp.

Wincing in agony, I cried out toward the man behind , "Be careful! It hurts!"

The man behind ignored , tugging harshly at the rope. The man nad Caifu facing him nodded in satisfaction, saying, "Bind him tightly! We'll take him to Well No. 3. You'll be staying up there! Us three alone certainly aren't enough to face the wife and her friends. With their help, we'll handle the relationships between the wives!"

One of them hoisted onto his shoulder. Another pulled out a gourd from his backpack and whispered incantations. The gourd began to grow larger and larger, eventually reaching a size big enough to rival all three n combined before halting its growth.

Looking at the gourd floating mid-air, one of the n stepped forward slowly and grazed his hand across Fuyuan, remarking, "Is this gourd bought from the depths of the clouds? Only the gourds deep in the cloudy mist are high-quality, distinctive, and swift—but unfortunately expensive. Even soone as wealthy as Mr. Liu would find them pricey."

The one summoning the gourd seed irritated at hearing Mr. Liu's na and kicked the gourd angrily before muttering to himself.

When I was being carried away, I barely heard their conversation. I wanted to curse Mr. Liu in my thoughts, but I didn't want it to escalate enough for to voice it out loud.

The man didn't react at all to my thoughts. Instead, he suddenly slapped on the face.

They chatted for a while until the man dressed in black slowly glanced toward , approaching with a cane in his hand. As he waved it, I instantly regained control of my body. I hurriedly sat down on the ground, panting and tearing off the seals binding .

Later, I found a place to rest, sitting outside quietly. Looking at the man who hadn't answered my repeated question, I said, "Who exactly are you? And what's the point of tying up here? What exactly are you looking for from my aunt?"

Listening to my series of questions, the elder stroked his beard and laughed lightly, "Young one, don't worry yourself. It's not you I'm after. I ca here simply to talk to your aunt from Syria. We haven't seen each other in nearly thirty years! I just wanted to reminisce. If I'd sent my disciple to your aunt yesterday, I didn't expect them to use such thods to bring you in. The bla lies with my insufficient discipline—rest assured, I'll give them a stern lesson once I return."

That said, the elder montarily glanced at Mr. Liu, though I didn't think he intended to scold him—not even slightly. He simply seed like he wanted to talk.

I coughed lightly, and when the elder turned back to look at , I said with a grin, "I haven't seen God in days either. As for my aunt's whereabouts, I have no idea. Dragging into this won't help you."
