"Hmm, take him to the registration office. The... teacher's na is Xuan Kui. Xuan Kui instructed his disciples to follow his orders."

These two had long noticed that Lin Yun, standing behind Xuan Kui, was soone extraordinary—soone who could bring significant potential to Star Sky Master Hall. At first, they thought they might be selected as re attendants or aides. However, they had never imagined they would beco official disciples of Star Sky Master Hall. This was simply unbelievable. Star Sky Master was notoriously selective with disciples; he hadn't taken one for hundreds of years. Yet today, he had accepted this young man from the mortal world as a disciple.

"I still tremble with fear thinking about what to do."

When Lin Yun entered the mountain gates, his field of vision suddenly expanded. The scenery of the mountain was awe-inspiring. Whether it was the grand halls and towers, the gardens and pavilions, or the winding mountain paths—every building and every scene was srizing, dazzling to the eyes.

"Big brother, I have a question! I don't know if I can ask? Lin Yun, upon arrival, naturally felt reserved, but he had been suspecting all along that Xuan Kui was the renowned Star Master. He wanted to learn more about the Star Master. Yet Xuan Kui didn't entertain questions, and by the ti Xuan Kui had left, Yun Lin was only able to turn to question his new companion."

"Call 'big brother'? No, no, I don't deserve that. As the disciple of the Star Master, you should call Uncle Shi instead. Oh, just call the fish hanging on the fishing line," replied the disciple with a respectful wave of his hand.

Uncle Shi? To even dare say such a title cos with a noble status—it implies the rank of soone associated with the Star Master, a highly esteed position. Lin Yun was slightly amused but nodded politely towards the disciple nad Little Yue'er and replied, "Little Yue'er, why do you keep calling Star Master's disciple? Is there so special significance to it?"

At the ntion of this question, Xiao Yu abruptly widened his eyes, staring at Lin Yun like he was so extraterrestrial anomaly.

"Uncle Shi, don't you know what the Star Master is?" Xiao Yu blinked in disbelief, stunned by Lin Yun's apparent ignorance. As soone within this mystical realm, how could he not know of the Star Master? It was both surprising and incomprehensible.

"I... Of course I know. I was just testing you to see if you know," Lin Yun responded hastily, realizing he might have asked a question everyone else already knew the answer to. To save face, he coughed lightly and pretended to act composed.

Xiao Yu understood Lin Yun's situation at that mont, and with a faint smile, he refrained from exposing Lin Yun's awkwardness directly. He said, "The Star Master is the highest leader of the primary forces within the Dark World. The power of the Dark World stems from sothing mysterious called Dark Pluto. Hence, every leader of a force is titled 'Star King' to honor Dark Pluto. In the taphysical domain, there are four major powers: Eastern Spirit Hall, West Ghost Hall, Northern Rakshasa Palace, and South Display Palace—collectively referred to as East-West Halls and North-South Palaces. The Star King serves as the leader of these four great powers."

In order to help Lin Yun—clearly still unfamiliar with the basics—Xiao Yu provided further foundational knowledge.

"Oh? Then which major power are we part of?" Lin Yun asked while gazing in the direction of the rising sun. The east was where the sun appeared, but Lin Yun's mind couldn't find the connection after arriving at the scene.

"This is the East Soul Hall. The Star Master here is East Soul Xuan Kui—your master, your grand-uncle in essence. However, beyond these four major forces, there are scattered smaller powers. Most small-power figures would never dare to claim the title of Star Master; at best, they might beco subordinates of Star Masters. Xiao Yu chuckled.

"Ah... East Soul Hall seems to be a formidable force," Lin Yun thought inwardly. He realized the entities here were akin to an Emperor ruling a state, with other subordinate states not daring to rise and claim kingship. Lin Yun hadn't expected to enter such a main powerhouse but considered himself incredibly lucky.

"Let's get moving. The registration office is right ahead," Xiao Yu said, standing at a bend in the mountain path and pointing towards a majestic building atop the mountain.

Lin Yun looked up. The building was constructed of peculiar blue stone that occasionally shimred with a soft glow. Near the entrance hung a large erald plaque with three calligraphic characters written in vivid brushstrokes.

Lin Yun followed Xiao Yu into the building. Inside, a man seated in a dark corner was yawning. Noticing their arrival, he imdiately perked up and said with enthusiasm, "Xiao Yu, is that you? I thought I'd be spending my day as usual—with nothing to do."

"Look at you, so slack! You only know how to sleep all day. Today, I've brought a new disciple. Can you help complete the registration?" Xiao Yu tapped the desk playfully and shook his head, laughing.

"A new disciple? Since the Star Master set the requirents for new disciples years ago, we haven't seen a single recruit in three years. I could just as well imagine my job being completely redundant," the registration clerk joked, yawning again to excuse his idleness. "Wait... the Star Master himself brought soone back?" Xiao Yu interrupted.

When the registration clerk realized it was soone personally brought back by the Star Master, he imdiately jumped up in shock and exclaid, "What? The Star Master himself brought him back? We haven't seen a new disciple recruited here in years. If he's selected directly by the Star Master, he must be an extraordinary individual."

"See for yourself," Xiao Yu gestured.

The registration clerk scrutinized Lin Yun, whose appearance was modest but strikingly pleasing, yet he couldn't discern anything particularly remarkable about him. He sighed and muttered softly, "He doesn't seem all that special."

"Shush! Quiet down. Keep your comnts to yourself," Xiao Yu said as he covered the clerk's mouth abruptly and gestured for silence. Lin Yun, with his keen senses, had heard every word but remained calm and unperturbed. However, the clerk appeared genuinely startled by the circumstances. In truth, Lin Yun hadn't expected to beco a disciple of East Spirit Hall's Star Master but was impressed with his own qualifications.

"Hey... Xiao Yu, by the way, who's the master of this new recruit? Surely he must be under so prominent figure." The clerk remarked, resting his curiosity on who had taken Lin Yun in.

Xiao Yu hesitated montarily with a strange expression before saying, "He's not under anyone else. He's directly the Star Master's disciple."

"Ah..." The clerk's face froze, nearly dropping to the ground in disbelief.

"Stop acting so surprised. Let's hurry up and finish the process. This new recruit is our grandmaster's disciple, so delays won't do him justice. Hurry up, now!" Xiao Yu urged.

Recognizing Lin Yun's elevated status as a disciple of the Star Master, the clerk instantly stood up, wearing a respectful expression. Beaming with politeness towards Lin Yun, he said, "Grandmaster, this way, please."

Lin Yun glanced in the direction indicated, feeling a bit self-conscious. He lowered his head slightly, clasping his hands around his waist, and walked over.

"What does registration entail?" Lin Yun asked, realizing he knew little about the administrative processes of this mysterious realm.

"Well, first, we need to test your spiritual power level to determine your aptitude. It's a standard procedure," the clerk replied with a smile. But as he glanced over at Lin Yun, he hesitated, then added, "But since you were personally brought back by the Star Master, your qualifications are undoubtedly exceptional. Testing might even be unnecessary."

Actually, Lin Yun felt uncertain inside; he wasn't expecting this level of recognition. He had no idea qualifications were determined through such examinations—it was a surprise to him.

"I'm sorry, senior brother—I didn't an to challenge the system. I simply think it's best to proceed with the tests. Let everything go as per standard protocol," Lin Yun explained, still curious to know what level he asured up to for Xuan Kui, the Star Master, to have personally selected him. Indeed, Xuan Kui hadn't seen through Lin Yun's true potential; Lin Yun's talents were deeply hidden.
