Sheets of eerie spatial fragnts shredded light into tatters, turning this sector into a kaleidoscopic, bewildering world. Thick black spatial rifts rampaged like a violent downpour, and countless flashes blossod like sinister flowers, radiating a baleful aura of destruction.
Yet the Neutron War Star was unaffected. It strolled as if a tourist among flowers, relaxed and at ease. To it, the raging storm was no more than a gentle breeze.
The Neutron War Star maintained its constant speed and charged toward a star. This was one of the stars on the periphery of the sector Xiao Yu had arranged. Around this star operated large numbers of star system defense facilities centered on it, as well as devices related to black lightning. Xiao Yu’s various attacks were simply powerless to halt the Neutron War Star’s steps. Xiao Yu could only watch as it rushed up beside the star and then plunged straight in.
Before contacting the star, the Neutron War Star had already canceled its gravity shielding. Its enormous gravity distorted the star’s shape. After it ramd into the star’s interior, the star remained briefly calm, then, as the Neutron War Star burst out from the other side, it exploded violently.
The scene was like a bullet puncturing a balloon.
A star was thus destroyed. Its furious explosive energy completely disrupted the nearby installations, causing Xiao Yu so losses. Since the star system defense was designed from the outset with stellar explosions in mind, these losses were not too great for Xiao Yu.
After destroying this star, the Neutron War Star did not pause in the slightest. It continued at extre speed toward the next star, while Xiao Yu’s attacks remained locked on it.

“So you are indeed clearing the way for your conventional fleet…” Xiao Yu murmured. “First the Neutron War Star destroys these stars, inflicting heavy damage on my star system defenses. Then the conventional fleet opens a passage to intrude into the small universe, and finally the Neutron War Star finishes off… The strategy is simple, but effective.”
The destruction of a single star might not affect Xiao Yu much, but if all one thousand stars were destroyed, Xiao Yu’s conventional combat power would be reduced by at least fifty percent. That was unacceptable, because Xiao Yu did not know what trump cards the Sweepers Civilization still had within its conventional fleet.
“Activate black lightning first. Let us see whether it can affect the Neutron War Star at all.” Xiao Yu thought and made this decision.
During the incursion into the Guardian Civilization’s small universe, the Guardian Civilization’s black lightning offensive could even cut matter from the Micron corpse. Now, although Xiao Yu’s black lightning was weaker in attack strength than the Guardian Civilization’s, he had the advantage of numbers. One thousand stars could support him in launching inexhaustible attacks across the entire sector.
Among conventional forces, this was the only weapon that had any hope of affecting the Neutron War Star.
Xiao Yu’s order spread across the entire sector in an instant. The prearranged devices activated, and vast energy was drawn from the stars. In that mont, over one thousand stars in this sector dimd simultaneously. As their luminosity fell, black lightning began to launch.
It was as if many heavy guns suddenly joined a battlefield already dense with bullets. The previous fierce offensive paled beside the might of black lightning. Right before the Neutron War Star, a thick bolt of black lightning took shape and slamd into it.
This was only the beginning. After that bolt, tens of millions more were forming, and then, almost in the sa instant, they struck the Neutron War Star simultaneously. After these tens of millions, even more black lightning continued to condense.
More than one thousand stars provided abundant power for these bolts. The black lightning charged forward without cease and never tired.
Although the attack strength per bolt could not match the Guardian Civilization’s black lightning, the quantity Xiao Yu produced exceeded the Guardians’ by an unknown multiple. Xiao Yu even estimated that the Micron corpse would suffer so damage under such a fierce barrage. If this assault continued long enough, say for several hundred or several thousand years, it might truly be possible for the Micron corpse to be destroyed by black lightning.
“If it can threaten the Micron corpse, then even if you are a creation of a Level 7 civilization, you should still be affected…” Xiao Yu thought silently.
Under this weapon whose attack strength nearly surpassed the conventional technological limit of a Level 6 civilization, the Neutron War Star finally reacted. Although no matter was torn from it, its speed did begin to slow.

Just like how the Buddha ultimately withstood the heavenly demons and achieved enlightennt. The Neutron War Star likewise withstood Xiao Yu’s attacks. In Xiao Yu’s observation, the Neutron War Star now seed to be making so adjustnt. Its poles gradually stabilized, and its radiation levels began to hold at a constant value.
Xiao Yu knew his attack had failed. Even black lightning, which could pose a trendous threat to the Micron corpse, had no way to deal with the Neutron War Star.
Black lightning was the pinnacle of Level 6 civilization offensive power. Now that black lightning had failed, it showed that by conventional technology alone, short of becoming a Level 7 civilization, no Level 6 civilization could be a match for the Neutron War Star.
Under Xiao Yu’s gaze, the Neutron War Star moved again. Its speed rose rapidly, and it charged toward the nearest star. In the next mont it plunged into that star and burst out of the far side. The star imdiately exploded violently and was annihilated.
Amid the sky-filling bombardnt, the Neutron War Star road here as if strolling in a courtyard. In this area, within less than ten light years, there were over one thousand stars gathered. This ant the stellar density was very high, the distances between stars very small, and the Neutron War Star’s rate of destroying stars could be very fast. After bursting out of one star, it could plunge directly into the next.
The brilliance of stellar explosions lit the sector completely. Not even the fiercest spatial slicing could drown out that light. So of the star system defense installations affected by the blasts were destroyed. Their wreckage drifted everywhere like little boats that might capsize at any mont amid great waves.
Xiao Yu’s first attempt to oppose the Neutron War Star failed. Once again, facts proved that against the Neutron War Star, the conventional technology of a Level 6 civilization had no power.
“Specter companion, prepare to deploy.” Xiao Yu issued a new order. “Our Divine Ark Civilization is strong, but aside from the Micron corpse, we have no other way to deal with the Neutron War Star. To prevent it from completely destroying our conventional star system defenses and causing us to fall behind in conventional strength, I need you to sortie and destroy it.”
“Understood.” With the great war imminent and the mont of life and death upon them, even the usually sowhat cavalier Specter companion beca solemn. He sent a ssage to the Alien Beast Taihao and the Specter Taihao, “Alien Beast, Specter, ti to depart. As we practiced before, you two will pin down the Neutron War Star. I will control the Micron corpse to ram it… and at the instant before impact, we will all escape together.”
“Understood. No problem.” The Alien Beast Taihao and the Specter Taihao answered in unison.
While the Neutron War Star still rampaged through this sector, invincible and slaughtering madly, the Micron corpse erged from the small universe into the observable universe. Before the Micron corpse appeared, the Alien Beast Taihao and the Specter Taihao had already slipped ahead into the dark universe. Xiao Yu knew they would hide in the shadows seeking an opening, and once it appeared, they would charge in. Even at the cost of suffering serious injuries themselves, they would drag the Neutron War Star with all their might for a ti. That ti need not be long. At most half a minute would suffice. Half a minute was enough for the Specter companion to react and drive the Micron corpse to ram it.
Enduring the sa ferocious barrage and raging storm, the Micron corpse stepped onto the battlefield. Like the Neutron War Star, it moved swiftly, tracking the Neutron War Star’s trail. The chaotic environnt successfully concealed the Micron corpse. Xiao Yu knew the Neutron War Star had not yet discovered its presence.
This field of stars would be the battleground of these two compact stellar bodies.
