Now reading: Chapter 403 - 403 400 Going to the Temple from Rebirth of the Supreme Immortal Emperor, a Urban novel by Happy Children's Day.

403: Chapter 400 Going to the Temple 403: Chapter 400 Going to the Temple After Li Chen fainted due to the depletion of his True Yuan, the first thing he saw when he woke up was a Himalayan Snow Monster.

More precisely, it was his Snow Servant.

At this mont, the Himalayan Snow Monster was using its fluffy body like an Arctic bear protecting its cub to keep Li Chen warm.

Seeing Li Chen wake up, it let out excited cries.

“Hey, stop yelling, it’s making my eardrums hurt!” Li Chen quickly covered his ears and shouted urgently at the Snow Monster.

The piercing scream of the Himalayan Snow Monster could tear through the air in an instant, piercing ordinary people’s eardrums, even capable of shaking down an airplane.

Hearing Li Chen’s scolding, the Himalayan Snow Monster imdiately lowered its head, and its long, hairy arms drooped down, looking like a schoolchild who had done sothing wrong, waiting to be scolded by the teacher.

Seeing this, Li Chen found it sowhat amusing.

Suddenly!

He rembered Lian Hongshang and the thousand-year-old snow lotus!

Before he lost consciousness, he rembered she headed south.

With that in mind, Li Chen quickly identified the direction and sprinted towards the south.

He hadn’t gone a thousand ters before he saw collapsed snow peaks, traces of fighting on the ground, and a puddle of blood that had already frozen into ice.

Li Chen chipped off a piece of frozen blood and gently placed it in his mouth.

The ti was two days ago!

Imdiately after, he directed the Himalayan Snow Monster to turn the place upside down.

They found three frozen corpses, none of which was Lian Hongshang’s; they appeared to be climbers who had co to conquer Mount Everest.

Just as Li Chen couldn’t figure out what to do next, he discovered symbols left by Lian Hongshang.

To be precise, an incomplete symbol.

The symbol was written in blood, with a “bug” symbol on the left and a treasure cover on the right.

Seeing this blood symbol, the word “Snake” instantly sprang to mind for Li Chen.

This “Snake” surely wasn’t a simple reference to a snake species; it must refer to a person or a power.

Li Chen stood at the top of Mount Everest, looking around.

Eventually, his gaze settled in the southwest direction, where the Old Dan Ancient City of Tianzhu was located, the site of the Snake Spirit Temple.

“Snow Monster, let’s go!”

Li Chen leaped onto the shoulders of the Himalayan Snow Monster and pointed him towards the southwest.

The Snow Monster, understanding the signal, ran swiftly.

Sotis it ran on its legs, and other tis it used both hands and feet; even on top of Mount Everest, its speed was no less than a super off-road vehicle.

The distance to the Old Dan Ancient City was only a few hundred kiloters.

For the Snow Monster, traversing mountains and hills was like walking on flat ground, rely a little over an hour’s journey.

When they were about to enter Old Dan City, to avoid startling the enemy, Li Chen did not let the Snow Monster enter the city in such a conspicuous manner.

Instead, he made its body shrink to a tenth of its original size.

It now looked like an ordinary white monkey.

Tai Ling and Tai Ji, although they had set off nearly two days earlier than Li Chen, were worried about being intercepted by other forces, so they took a very cautious route and took many detours.

Hence, they only arrived at Old Dan half an hour earlier than Li Chen.

They had just arrived, and Li Chen followed them into the city.

However, even a re half hour was enough for them to lay down simple defenses.

The Snake Spirit Temple had around 1,200 people in total, among which the publicly known staff numbered over 300.

Their primary duty was to receive guests and to scout for young won, luring victims like Lin Xuanfei into pitfalls to the rear courtyards, for the pleasure of Lord Snake Spirit.

In addition to this, there were over three hundred young won living there permanently.

So were coerced into this life, while others were devout followers of the Snake Spirit, willingly offering themselves.

They had only one task: to dedicate themselves to Lord Snake Spirit for his enjoynt.

The rest, over six hundred people, were the Temple’s ard guards.

Half of them resided within the Temple, responsible for maintaining order and bearing the heavy responsibility of guarding the Temple.

The other half were scattered around the world, building an intelligence network, searching for various pieces of information to relay back to the Temple.

The Snake Spirit Temple in Tianzhu held a lofty status.

Though there were only three hundred guards for defense, they were equipped with various light and heavy weapons.

There were even four armored vehicles, a truly enhanced military camp setup.

At this mont, the siblings Tai Ling and Tai Ji were commanding this reinforced battalion, laying out an Earth Network ambush, waiting for Li Chen to arrive.

This was their turf; they no longer needed to worry about being intercepted by other forces and could focus on dealing with Immortal Master Li without distractions.

If they could kill their opponent, that would be perfect.

A massive feat of rit would then be as good as in their pocket.

Even if they were by so chance not a match for Immortal Master Li, they could retreat to the Temple and leave him to Lord Snake Spirit.

Therefore, no matter what, they had a winning edge, and Immortal Master Li was dood.

The only question now was whether they should take down Immortal Master Li themselves or let Lord Snake Spirit handle him personally.

When Li Chen arrived at the entrance of the Temple, he saw a group of fully ard guards digging pits and setting various traps.

One of the patrol leaders mistook Li Chen and the white monkey by his side as a wandering street perforr and, lifting a long gun, shouted angrily, “This Temple is under martial law, get lost.

Otherwise, believe it or not, Laozi will shoot you dead with one shot?”

Li Chen gave him a cold glance and continued to stride toward the inside of the Temple as if he didn’t even see the man.

Seeing a wandering perforr daring to ignore him like this, the patrol leader was infuriated.

He imdiately took out his long gun, pulled the bolt back with a forceful move, and bellowed, “Stop, take one more step and you’re dead!”

As personnel of the Temple protected by Lord Snake Spirit, even if he killed soone on the spot, he wouldn’t be subject to legal punishnt.

Li Chen halted, turned his head towards this arrogant shouting leader, and smiled silently.

He did not move to take action himself but simply patted the Himalayan Snow Monster on the head lightly.

The Snow Monster got the ssage, lunged forward with a whoosh, and with its blade-like claws, fiercely struck the patrol leader’s head.

“Boom!”

The unfortunate soul had his skull shattered on the spot.

A grizzly mix of red and white sprayed out, making for a grisly scene.

The other patrolling guards, witnessing their leader being turned into a at paste by a single hit from a monkey, all stood agape in shock.

One who was lucky enough to survive, when recounting this incident to others, started with the unbelievable statent: “You might not believe it, but my leader’s head was burst open by a monkey’s slap.”

All these patroln were ard, and after a three-second stun, they collectively drew their long and short guns.

“Bang, bang, bang!”

“Crackling and booming!”

The bullets flew towards Li Chen like a raging storm.

However, these rifle bullets, which could sever a large tree, were unable to penetrate Li Chen’s Protective Gang Qi, all coming to a stop half a ter from him, suspended in the air.

“Humph, like a mantis trying to stop a chariot, overestimating one’s abilities!”

Li Chen huffed in disdain and glared fiercely.

All the bullets reversed course, heading back where they ca from.

Apart from one guard who was slow to react and had not yet fired, who managed to survive, the others all died on the spot, falling haphazardly.

The fresh blood splattered, tainting the entire azure sky with a shocking red hue.

Li Chen strode forward, his palm cutting through the air like a knife, and directly split the gilded characters “Snake Spirit Temple” above the great hall doors in two.

“Huaxia’s Immortal Master Li, has co to pay his respects!”
