(Maria's POV) SLASH!
With a single swing of my scythe, the Nightmare Lord's technique was cut down, opening the way for to reach him. Finally, I finally got him! This damn bastard is dead! Definitely!
"I finally got you!"
And I was finally right in front of him. I loaded Mana into my Scythe, preparing myself for the grand finale. Combining the powers of the Moonlight Titan Selene with Anubis, I created a new and ridiculous technique to finally end this.
"{Abyssal Black Moonlight Death Void Nebula}"
A black, dark purple, and pink Nebula materialized, consuming the Nightmare Lord as I swung my scythe, cutting through his bark. The nebula expanded across the wounds and rapidly devoured his entire existence.
SLAAASH!
"Uuaaaggghhh!"
As he scread, I quickly continued attacking, unleashing a barrage of hundreds of slashing attacks, cutting through his bark, branches, and even finding his damn nightmare core.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
The core he stole from Sofia was no longer usable, purifying it and placing it back into her would be just pointless at this point.
I'll simply destroy it and end him!
"You'll pay for what you did to Sofia, you fuck!" I roared.
And then, with the intensity of the Spell, I released all the accumulated energy within the nebula entering his body, managing to do exactly what I was planning.
To blow him up from the inside!
BOOOMMM!!!
An eruption of darkness and cosmic energies rushed out of his entire body, erupting from every single crack until his bark completely burned to ashes and then even his wood rapidly burned and disappeared.
"Uuuuaaagggh! No...! NOOOO! I AM...! I AM THE NIGHTMARE LORD BORN FROM SOFIA! I WILL CONSU IT ALL! I WILL...!"
This resilient motherfucker wasn't dead yet! With what barely remained of his broken and shattered nightmare core and the bare minimum of his wood, he further rged with the decaying and falling apart Nightmare Realm, distorting space to compact it into a new body. It was aberrant and it was constantly dissipating and falling to pieces, made out of Nightmare Void and Sofia's own Nightmares endlessly surging from his semi-transparent gray and black skin.
"I WILL DEVOUR HER! AND THEN... AND THEN I SHALL BE COMPLETEEEEE! LET EAT HER! SOFIAAAAAAA! YOU OWE ! AFTER EVERYTHING I DID FOR YOU! YOU OWE EEEE!"
He was implying that the nightmare that Sofia went through imagining a happy life was sohow sothing she owed him for?! This bastard's ridiculous!
His titanic fists reached , piercing through space itself and beginning to rapidly deteriorate my body sohow. The nightmares trying to infiltrate my body like parasites.
"Annoying little shits, enough! Spirits!"
I called upon the power of my spirits as they circled around my body, fusing with and reinforcing my strength. Using Uller's chaos, I was able to keep up with the space-distorting attacks of the Decaying Nightmare Lord, while using Beatriz Nightmare Shapeshifting to devour the little nightmares coming for from the sides.
At the sa ti, I used dusa's tentacles to attempt to inject deadly poison inside of the Nightmare Lord's decaying body, which seed to be working slowly, rapidly increasing the speed of his decay and destruction.
"NOOOO! DIE!"
However, the resilient bastard refused to completely die! It was as if sothing was missing, my attacks weren't doing as much damage as I hoped! Was it because of his strange body?
It was as if he had made his body out of a dinsion itself, I need the power to break a dinsion to defeat him?
Or wait until he dies naturally, which won't be too far from now...
However, the thing is, the decaying rate will be faster, the entire academy will be consud before he dies anyways, so everything will be pointless.
Should I unleash all my power and use my aberrant form to finish him off with a fell swoop?
But I fear that the girls might go insane after seeing my eldritch appearance! Should I make them fall asleep?
No wait, but what if they get trapped inside the nightmare if they sleep?
Dammit, every option has a risk and a sacrifice, this is annoying!
"Maria...!"
Suddenly, I heard Sofia's voice.
I noticed sothing, her small appearance was still there sohow, even when the entire Nightmare Realm was already absorbed by the Nightmare Lord.
After all, right now, we were floating in the Nightmare Void that encompassed all Nightmare Realms, right below, there was the Nightmare Void Sea, if we fell there, I don't even know if I
could survive that.
"Sofia? What is it?"
"I think I can help...!"
"What?"
FLAAASH!
Suddenly, a glistening brilliant light surged from her chest, a sphere of pure light materializing, taking the form of a small tallic heart of gold and silver, with two halves.
One half resembled a woman smiling, the other a stoic man, both hugging one another...
"What the hell is that?!" Emily cried.
"Woah!" Alma gasped.
"I have the sa reaction! What is that?!" I wondered.
"T-This is... I don't know but it is telling to help you!" said Sofia. "Would you trust him? I think this little child... it was born from the positive emotions from my Dream Weapon."
"Huh..." I muttered. "But how do I...?"
We had to hurry, there was no ti! The Nightmare Lord was constantly clashing against and my spirits as we talked casually inside of my body.
"Just trust him!" Sofia said, looking at with hopeful eyes. "Everyone please trust him! Hold my hands and... I-I promise it will sohow help!"
She sounded like she had gone mad, but there wasn't much of an option in here.
Emily and Alma held her hands, and then, I gave them mine while inside of my transford,
phantasmal body.
Forming a circle with Sofia in the front, the small floating chanical heart with angelic wings floated into the middle of the circle.
And then...
FLAAASH!
Threads of light connected us all together, in fact, it connected their Dream Hearts with my
body.
"T-This is...?!"
When I realized what this power truly was, I saw the Nightmare Lord's massive arms rushing
towards , tearing through my ethereal body.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"DIEEEE!"
As he celebrated my destruction...
RUMBLE!
Sothing surged from within our unified hearts.
