After everything that happened, Sofia had a talk with Emily and Alma as well about what had happened, telling them the truth of the matter and how Martina almost beca a Nightmare herself. Naturally, my family also overheard things, so we ended all learning and talking about it with one another, while we watched the battles continue one after another.
"So all of that happened?!" Emily gasped. "What the hell... that's so much! Sofia, are you really okay? not any big wounds?"
"Maria healed after everything, so I feel fine," Sofia smiled. "Don't worry Emily, thanks for worrying though..." she ended hugging Emily's arm too.
"E-Eh? Ah, yeah, I an we're pals and all," Emily smiled, blushing a bit over Sofia's rare showcase of affection.
"You could have asked to heal you as well! A-And Martina too..." Alma said nervously. "If she truly okay though?"
"Yeah she's ok, don't worry Alam," Sofia smiled. "I'll make up for it by... well, she might end up joining our group as another friend. I want to make her feel welcod for once... I'll try to beco her friend now."
"I-I see..." Alma nodded. "Well, it's fine, I an... we've never talked with Martina before, but I think she could be a nice person to be around! Ah! Did your chanical Heart truly cleanse her nightmare?"
"Yeah it did," I nodded. "I think that's her chanical Heart's main power, the ability to cleanse hearts."
"Oooh! That's so cool, Sofia!" Alma clapped happily. "With you at our side we could heal many other people that might end up becoming nightmares by accident... Or about to turn into one."
"You're right, I guess it's my new responsibility..." Sofia sighed. "But I'll do my best for that purpose. Whenever trouble resurfaces, I'll help."
"Well said, Sof!" Alma smiled, hugging Sofia's arm. "You've changed so much, but you're still the sa Sof we love too."
"Ahah, you're making embarrassed... I'm just being honest with myself, and simply being grateful I have you all as my friends," Sofia smiled. "Thanks again for being here for ..."
"Aren't you three way too corny? Co on I'm literally dying of diabetes here!" laughed Partner. "These girls... seriously."
"Looks like soone sounds a bit jealous?" I wondered, giggling.
"I-I'm not jealous!" said Partner, blushing. "I already got my friends..."
"Yeah, yeah, just leave the girls be~" I patted her shoulders.
"It's nice that you're all so close though," Eraldine smiled. "In this world where Nightmares are everywhere, maybe being too corny is the only way to not be affected by them in such a way. Strong bonds with friends, love, empathy, and care for one another, are all keys to survive and not be corrupted."
"Hmm, you're not wrong," Lucifer nodded, as we noticed there was a kid by his side, the sa boy he fought with, Gabriel was his na.
"Oh..." Gabriel noticed our gazes, growing a bit embarrassed. "I-I can go away if you don't want here... L-Lucifer invited ..."
"Nah, it's alright!" I said, smiling at him. "So you're Gabriel, right?"
"Y-Yes..." he nodded timidly. "I... I have little experience... Um, talking with people..."
"It's fine, really," said Nia, giving him a motherly smile. "You're welco to stay with us! We saw you fighting and how you ended crying... Are you alright?"
"I-I'm fine, thank you..." Gabriel said. "Lucifer was... a nicer opponent than I imagined... Ah! But this doesn't an I've given up or sothing... I-I'll try to win next ti! If... Well, if there's a next ti."
"I see, I see," I nodded. "Lucifer, looks like you ended finding another little brother?"
"I an... hah, he's just a damn kid, I don't like how they look at him or how they talked to him," said Lucifer. "And his Dream Weapon is very intriguing, it looks and acts similar to Nightmares, but it's definitely not one. Maybe if we could analyze it, we might find so clues about how they are truly born or structured."
"Oh... I-I'll help if I can!" Gabriel nodded. "I've heard you... you guys fight a lot of Nightmares? I also want to help society... I want to prove everyone that I am not evil because of what my Dream Weapon is."
"Well said," Eraldine smiled.
"Yeah, you're definitely welco, little Gabriel," Nia nodded.
"L-Little? I think I'm a year older than you..." said Gabriel. "But thanks for the welco..."
Even then, he still definitely doesn't look like soone on his 17!
"Your power was cool," said Arthur. "Well fought, I think you could learn a lot with us, Maria deals a lot with curses herself."
"Oh wow, really?" Gabriel wondered. "I-I don't know..."
"Don't worry, we can help you out," I said. "More friends are always welco anyways!"
Yeah, we need as many friends as possible in our group if we eventually want to defend the island from the Nightmare Demons.
Anyways, after our group battled, there were several battles that continued with different groups of fighters, we got to see a lot of what our class had to offer, and also the other classes. However, there wasn't anything really noteworthy, to be honest. Despite this being an elite academy and everything, everyone was so weak compared to us it was a bit boring to see them little ones fight.
However, eventually, more of our group were called. This ti, Emily, Arthur, and Partner were called this ti!
Their opponents were quite the interesting bunch, a tall man with brown skin and curly black hair, a slender girl with long yellow hair, a pointy nose, and sharp erald eyes, with a cocky- looking smile, and then boy with white hair covering his eyes and a funny-looking black hat.
"And so the new round begins! Emily will go against Eduard! Arthur versus Katherine! And lastly, Partner against Junio!"
The trio quickly confronted their new opponents, ready to fight against them. Emily smiled confidently, calling forth her armor as Eduard did the sa, covering himself with an armor of sharp stones.
Arthur held his spear tightly, as Katherine suddenly summoned several spheres of light around her body. Lastly, Partner confronted Junio, who summoned a bunch of toys.
I was quite interested to see what they would do! So I checked their Status in detail.
