"Alright, they’re coming! From every angle! Intercept them with your strongest blows! Nyx, Lucifer, fight the hordes behind!"
As I gave everyone their commands, we fought, the birds rushed towards us without letting us breath, roaring angrily as their facial tentacles moved around disgustingly, letting out drool.
"SHYAAAAGGH!"
As they reached us, they roared angrily, releasing screams that generated sound waves, which attempted to push us back.
Was this one of their abilities?
Well, no matter.
"There you go~!"
I swung my sword horizontally, greeting five birds on my own, cutting them all into halves with a single attack.
SLAAASH!
I didn’t even need to use a technique; they were that weak.
Probably comparable to B Rank Monsters maybe.
Or C Rank?
Well, their numbers sure speak about their individual strength.
The stronger a monster, the lonelier they usually are.
"GRYAASH!"
Another trio of birds appeared behind , their tentacles wrapped around my arms and torso, trying to pull towards them.
"Maria!"
Alma panicked, as she conjured powerful magic, firing three spears of ice against the monsters.
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
The spears impaled them and froze part of their wounds, making them feel weakened instantly.
"Thank you Alma!"
With a swing of my halberd, I crushed their heads one after another, blood splattering everywhere.
Her help wasn’t necessary though, but it was nice of her that she cared.
anwhile, everyone else was fighting.
"I guess with this number of monsters, there’s no better ti than now to use my Magic..."
Sofia smiled, as she felt rather confident, the power of her Dream Spirit infused her with an Aura of Light, enhancing her Magic Power.
"{Radiant Armory}: {Sunshine Spears}!"
And with the power of her family’s magic, she summoned dozens of golden portals, firing golden weapons from them, mostly sharp and long spears that impaled her foes within re seconds.
Seven birds were imdiately pierced one after another, as Sofia never stopped conjuring the spears, spreading their damage around the rest of the incoming birds, keeping them afar from them.
"Oh wow, that’s not bad at all, Sofia!"
Emily was amazed Sofia was finally showing her magic once more. After losing her Dream Weapon, Sofia was unable to use the magic like before, but after practicing a lot using the power of her Dream Spirit, she managed to find a way.
And it was quite simple at that, by letting her Dream Spirit beco an Aura of pure Magic Power within her body, conjuring magic once more beca as easy as can be done!
"I also have to show off a little!"
Emily’s entire body was covered by her armor, which was now golden and black in color, covered on spikes and overflowing with electricity.
"HAAAAH!"
With a furious roar, Emily rushed forward, her electricity charging within her entire armor the more she attacked her foes. Her armored fists and kicks reached the monsters in front of her quite easily, as they started being punched and kicked away.
At first they felt not much damage, but as Emily gathered electricity, things changed, ultimately, as a dozen birds jumped over her, she unleashed it all.
BOOOM!
An explosion of lightning erupted from her armored body, electrocuting the birds around her and burning them from the inside out, dropping dead around her.
"Heh, you guys are pretty damn weak, co at !"
Emily was enjoying this more than she imagined, fighting all the birds as they kicked her and even used their beaks to peck at her.
CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!
"Your attacks only are going to recharge my armor, thank you~!"
While gathering lightning in her armored hands, Emily unleashed a barrage of lightning punches, blowing holes through her foes and releasing dragons made of thunder.
"{Thunder Dragon’s Fangs}!"
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The monsters were sent flying away, dead on the spot, Emily cleansed already almost all the birds herself!
"GRYAAACK!"
The last three of them were being fought by Martina’s jester puppet, who used trickery, illusions, poison, and curses to battle.
Spreading poisonous gases with illusions, the birds attacked one another in confusion, dealing damage to each other as a result!
And then, if that wasn’t enough, the jester’s hands turned into sharp blades, and began slicing and stabbing the birds, making sure they died.
Nyx and Lucifer took down the other dozens of birds coming from further away, and once it was finally over, Maria calculated they roughly fought a hundred of these birds, not forty as Maria had wrongly calculated, mostly due to lack of information.

"Only one level, but not bad or sothing..." I nodded. "Could’ve been worse and not be anything at all... Now! How did you feel? Pretty easy right? You girls are stronger than you think."
"W-Woah, yeah, it wasn’t hard..." Sofia realized. "Too easy in fact!"
"Yep," Emily nodded.
"I-I didn’t worked as hard as the rest... But I will do my best next ti!" Alma said.
"It wasn’t the best but I’m getting the hang of it..." Martina said.
"I see," I nodded. "Then everything is doing really well. Alright, let’s keep going. I can detect sothing resembling rats from the northwest, let’s go!"
We jumped over strange vegetation, until we finally arrived at the area. It was a strange swamp with only black mud inside, which looked more like miasma, I think.
"This is a Miasmic Swamp..." Alma said. "They’re dangerous, be careful!"
"Don’t worry about it, what could possibly go wrong- Oh."
SPLAAASH!
The mont we stepped in front of the swamp, sothing erged from it, sothing huge and monstrous, yet strangely humanoid as well.
"Heheheh! I finally found so new, tasty and young dream hearts to devour!"
It was nothing else but a damned Nightmare Demon!
