As we advanced through the Ash Desert, a rumbling, furious voice echoed, as a giant made of flas erged amidst the horizon, leading with him an army of hundreds.
"We t at long last, humans! You truly believe you can invade the land of the demons?!"
"My na is Magnus, the Nightmare Demon of Burns! I embody the primal fear of fire, of burning! And I shall burn you until only ashes remain!"
Finally, a strong guy appeared!
Yes, I was excited to see what he could do against my group, I wasn’t planning on fighting too much myself, I prefer seeing everyone’s growth while I evolve.
Magnus, huh? Is he probably at the sa level as the Demon King’s children, perhaps?

Explosions reverberated through the entire ash desert, over half of Magnus’ army was now defeated, our army advanced steadily, crushing our foes at a slow speed.
If it wasn’t for Alma and Celes, who were overpowered against fire-type nightmares.

He’s trembling in horror as Celes and Alma are attacking him together...
Well, Alma is mostly taking care of the surrounding soldiers protecting him, a bunch of lesser fire-type nightmare demons or nightmare beasts.
"{Freezing Downpour}! {Icicle Rain}!"
With her great variety of useful spells, she constantly bombarded our foes with destructive spells, pushing them back over and over again without problems.
The downpours of freezing water turned off all flas, weakening and slowing down our fire-based opponents by a lot.
anwhile, her projectiles impaled their bodies and froze them, killing them on the spot.
And as for Celes...
He was really enjoying his new weapon, which seed to further complent his awakened soul powers.
But seriously, back to this Magnus guy... he was huge, like twenty ters tall, made of flas, muscular, carrying a giant blazing hamr and he had sharp horns, the whole package!
He looked utterly terrifying, and even then...

Using his newly evolved trident spear, now nad "Spiritual Trident Of Rumbling Oceans: Poseidon", Celes charged forward, using the weapon’s new and overpowered ability.

The boy literally rode the oceans, summoning a giant downpour of freezing oceans everywhere, constantly drowning his surroundings.
He reminded of Takeshi and his special abilities and skills, especially when he used his fishing rod...

Don’t worry everyone, it has only been a week! But I’ll hurry as much as I can to get back to Yggdrasil!

Magnus scread in horror, swinging his giant hamr at Celes as he unleashed countless explosive attacks with it.
"{Infernal Hamr}!"

However, Celes smiled, raising his trident upwards as the waters wrapped around him, forming a giant wall that protected him from any blow.
SPLASH! SPLASH! SPLASH! SPLASH!
"T-This can’t be happening! All of my attacks are useless?! No...! I CANNOT ACCEPT THIS! DIE, YOU DAMNED CHILD!!!"
I had pitied him for a bit, I thought of even contracting him like Beatriz...
But after I heard him calling Celes a "damned child" I decided to not help him.
"Who are you calling a "damned child"?! You’re an ugly demon!"
RUMBLE!
Suddenly, an explosive thunderbolt hit Magnus’ head, pushing him down into the ground, as Nia appeared, floating in the skies.
"GRAAGH?!"
Her powerful spear helped her move through the sky at lightning speed, becoming a thunderbolt herself.
This was thanks to her thunder ghoul spear, a generic weapon I had made and gifted to her among others, ended finally evolving into sothing worthy for one of my wives.

Naturally, I had intended to give her a stronger, personal weapon for a while, but this helped get it done instantly with a few materials, so convenient.
What’s more, she could do this as well.
"{Windstorm Domain}!"

Mother and son unleashed their Domains, combining them!
Nia’s Domain unleashed a giant windstorm around her, while her son’s oceanic water swirled, creating a gigantic vortex of cold water.
The vortexes then split into many spiraling ocean tornadoes, impacting Magnus body from every angle, constantly!
BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!
"UUUAAAARRGGHH!"
Magnus entire body was riddled with massive holes, falling into the ash dunes, as he began to slowly disappear into black ashes and flas.
"T-This can’t be...! I am...! I am...! The strongest...!"
I slowly walked to his side, looking at his crimson, blazing eyes... My Aura alone made him recoil in fear as he slowly died.
"Y-You’re...?! You’re not a human! What... what are you?!"
"I am the one asking the questions here, Magnus. If you want let you live, you’re going to answer sothing."
"W-What...?! You’ll spare ...? Ugh...! I’m already... at death’s door...!"
"Shut up and listen. Did the Demon King send you here? Are they waiting for us?"
"Heh...! HEHEHE...! You don’t even know what’s coming! You and all your friends will be too late once you arrive at our castle! Your world... a world-wide invasion! Our Mother is preparing! Thousands of our kind! Perhaps millions! The entire planet will be ours!"

"Nobody knows that... but we all know he’s the King! The strongest Nightmare, the most frightful of fears...! AND HE’S GOING TO CRUSH ALL OF YOU! GAHAHAHAHA!"

Usually, the Spirit Contract requires both parties to agree, but just like with Elizabeth, if one of the parties is too weak, the other can simply force the contract.

He stopped it right before he could hurt .
"You’re mine now, and all of your army. Let’s go kill the Nightmare Demon King together, shall we?"
"Y-You...! I can’t...! How is this...?! YOU ENSLAVED ?!"
Magnus was shocked beyond belief, as Beatriz glanced at him with a tired-looking expression.
"You’ll get used to it... It’s not that bad, really."
"WHAT?! Y-You’re one of the Princesses?!"
"Alright Magnus, call the rest of the Nightmare Demons that survived, I’m also making a contract with all of them, they’ll be my personal Nightmare Demon Army."
"Y-You...! I won’t simply obey what you say- Co here right now, you lot! ...EH?! OH NOOOO!!!"
While grabbing his head in horror of what had happened to him, roughly forty Lesser Nightmare Demons walked to their general, looking at with confused expressions.
