In that mont, four attacks pierced the Original Nightmare Curse’s spectral body and soul: a gigantic rainbow-colored arrow composed of many elents and divine spirit energy, a giant crimson spear of blood and shadows, an ascending sword attack of heavenly light, and a breath attack of white void flas.
"W-WHA...?!"
His crimson eyes glared behind him. He was too slow. Maria and her allies were already aiming at him when he escaped and unleashed everything they had in that very mont.
He felt weak, barely able to move. His shadows swirled, turning into countless eyes and desperately firing crimson beams everywhere.
"YOU WON’T KILL ! YOU CANNOT...! I CANNOT DIE HERE!"
He grew desperate, screaming like a monster as he fired beams everywhere. The aberration was still delusional, having grown confident after countless loops where he triumphed. He could simply not accept that the very last loop, where he would finally devour this world and hatch from it, was the one where he struggled the most.
The Nightmare Demon King and his family were long gone, his monsters were already slain, the city beneath was now safe, no longer in danger. He had lost half of his entire being and several soul fragnts.
He was at his weakest point, cornered, with no way to escape as his soul and body were pierced four tis by four incredibly powerful attacks...
It was over!
"Again with your lasers? Don’t make laugh!"
Maria roared, her Moon Mirrors manifesting by the hundreds, rotating around the Nightmare Curse and catching every one of his laser attacks, sending them back at him.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"GUUAAAAAHHHHHH?!"
The Nightmare Curse scread in horror, finally knowing True Fear as he saw Maria’s group descend. Lucifer roared, his mighty white flas rushing down as his scythe sliced through the Nightmare Curse’s tentacles while burning him with imnse power.
"NO...! THIS...! THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING TO !"
He grew more and more desperate, crying in agony and despair as Lucifer, Eraldine, Partner, Nia, Jonathan, Arachne, Maria, and everyone else charged their attacks, unleashing their strongest techniques or Spells, unifying their Dream Weapon’s power into one, as they knew that the only way to truly destroy him was by using their power.
"Can you taste it now, Original Nightmare Curse?! This is the taste of fear! Make sure to rember it in the afterlife, bastard!"
Maria roared, the power of Alia by her side infusing her attack, as their Dream Weapon Essence combined into a single sword of brilliant golden, white, and silver light, descending with imnse force towards the Nightmare Curse’s Soul.
"I AM A GOD...! I AM THE CREATOR OF NIGHTMARES! I AM...! I AM...!"
"You are nothing."
Maria’s words echoed through his mind, as in that very mont, the Original Nightmare Curse learned that in the grand sche of things...
He was nothing.
"UUUAAAAHHHHHHHH!"
Incapable of bearing the horror of his impending agonizing death, he lost his composure completely, screaming in utter despair as his entire being ca undone, the sword piercing the very core of his essence.
The nightmares he encompassed, the countless fears he spread, everything he had ever created began disappearing as the world trembled and changed.
BOOOMMM!!!
With his death.
Upon his destruction, countless tiny pieces of his soul fell from the sky, as the world and everyone else instinctively knew...
That the Eternal Nightmare was finally over.
Maria and everyone else had accomplished the impossible, defeating an entity deed indestructible.
The only god of this world, a wicked embodint of humanity’s fears.
"We did it...! We did it, Maria!" Lucifer celebrated. "Now Odin is nothing compared to this bastard, is he?! We could return to Yggdrasil and get this done with!"
"Yeah, we’ve grown plenty strong...!" Eraldine laughed. "But that doesn’t matter now, Lucifer! We did it! This world...! It’s finally free!"
"Damned bastard, he was like a cockroach, never dying!" Partner complained, crossing her arms. "But I’m glad it is over, yeah."
"I’m glad as well! But I wonder how Celes and the kids are doing..." Nia seed worried.
"Mamaaaaaa!"
"We’re back!"
And right at that mont, she heard Celes’ voice, accompanied by Nyx as well. Both of them brought over Sofia, Alma, Martina, and Emily, alongside Arthur, who was unconscious after going all-out.
"Celes! Oh, everyone is fine!" Nia smiled happily, as Celes flew towards her and hugged her.
She hugged her beloved son, kissing his forehead and feeling relieved he was alright, and this battle was finally over.
"Mommy! Daddy! We did it!" Nyx said, as her father caught her in her dragon form and lifted her up.
"Hahah! I know you did it, I am so proud of you, Nyx!" Lucifer laughed. "Well done!"
"Yeah, you helped a lot as well!" Maria nodded. "Well done, dear."
Maria kissed her daughter, as she saw her friends approach her, while also chatting and celebrating with everyone else.
There was a little awkward silence, however...
"So... well, yeah, we did it..." Sofia sighed in relief. "Took a while, huh?"
"Yeeeah..." Emily nodded. "And a lot happened, we learned... so many things."
"We finally will have the ti to properly talk things now, right?" Martina asked.
"Maria...?" Alma asked, approaching her.
"Ah... right..." Maria nodded, realizing that indeed, it was ti to explain everything.
She looked back at Alia, who already knew everything either way.
"I already know everything, so don’t worry," Alia shrugged with a smile. "Thank you though, for saving this world and everything..."
"Um, well..." Maria muttered. "Yeah, a lot happened. We are not—"
RUMBLE!
"What?!"
Maria’s eyes widened as she felt the entire world trembling.
The seas trembled, as a giant sphere of black and purple light suddenly surged from underground.
Matter was being destroyed entirely as it moved, the seas beginning to fall down a massive hole connecting to the hollow core of the planet.
Everyone saw in disbelief this gigantic sphere suddenly appearing out of nowhere.
The Original Nightmare Curse was dead!
So what the hell was this?
What was going on?!
Was the Nightmare truly not over yet?
