The words of the Outer Gods still resonated within Maria’s mind as she fully evolved, erging above the stratosphere surrounding planet Earth. Her many crimson eyes glowed brightly, as they cried black tears, gathering beneath her feet into a sea of black void.
Her form was imnse, and so was her new power. Having further evolved from her previous form, she had gained power beyond divinity and was now cataloged as a "Primordial" by the System itself.
Whatever she had gone through must have awakened the powers deep within her, and the revelation that she was still alive back on Earth had also given her a new resolve.
And now, she stood in front of the monster that would threaten this world one last ti. Although the Original Nightmare Curse was dead, the true origin of Nightmares, the Nightmare Dinsion, had risen as a living being of its own, defying all logic.
It was much less intelligent than the Original Nightmare Curse, but that was perhaps what made it so scary, driven only by the most primal instincts to consu and destroy everything.
Maria, fueled by her mories and her past lives, had suddenly ascended even further, a thorny path filled with pain, agony, horror, and fear.
And... a lot of loneliness.
"STRANGE... FORM... NO MATTER... DESTROY... THEN DEVOUR."
The monster rushed toward Maria, its gigantic spherical body spinning forward and piercing through space, shattering it as glass-like pieces of space flew everywhere.
At the sa ti, the shattered space warped and twisted, as the monstrosity reached Maria within a split second.
"PERISH."
Maria faced the monster, her hands moving forward to push against the vortex of twisted space and warped void rushing toward her...
"{Void Tears of the Starless Deep}!"
Her eyes, which were closed, opened, revealing a black void that fell from them like stars, bombarding the monster and its warped space pseudo-domain, creating holes through reality.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"...?!"
The Living Nightmare Dinsion was suddenly pushed back, its spherical, dinsional body covered with massive holes, its pseudo-domain destroyed!
"Unfortunately for you, at this very mont... I am at my peak."
Maria smiled, as her tentacles rapidly moved around, gathering red light and firing thousands of beams at the monster, bombarding it with even more explosive attacks.
"NO...! PERISH!"
The Living Nightmare Dinsion started panicking as it took more damage from Maria, as the outer goddess reached it, manifesting a pair of Dream Weapons.
A black great sword made of bones and a giant halberd made of black tal covered with red jewels, both were her Dream Weapons, having evolved and elevated to her level...
Becoming her Outer Nightmare Weapons!
"What’s wrong? You can’t fight anymore?!"
Maria furiously hacked, cleaved, and slashed through the Living Nightmare Dinsion’s body, tearing apart pieces of its dinsional form, pushing it back more and more and more!
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
"IMPOSSIBLE...! I...!"
The Living Nightmare Dinsion, with almost half of its body gone, started leaking the Nightmare Void Sea, wrapping its entire dinsional body with it and forming countless tentacles, attacking Maria from every angle.
BAAM! BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!
"I AM THE END."
Maria was pushed back constantly, the monstrous Dinsion’s tentacles piercing through her Void Aura, but then...
"The End?"
Her sword suddenly pierced through the creature’s tentacles, cleaving through the Nightmare Void Sea and then through the dinsion’s body.
SLAAASH!
"GRAAAAHHHH?!"
"I doubt it."
Maria smiled, her third eye glowing bright red, gathering energy to unleash a gigantic beam of crimson, black, and gray energies, blowing up the living dinsion and sending it flying away.
BOOOMMM!!!
The gigantic entity collided with the Moon, creating a massive explosion that spread countless cracks across the natural satellite’s surface.
"GRAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"
The entity scread, making the entire universe tremble, as Maria rushed forward, only to see giant teors falling toward her one by one, bombarding her from every angle.
"He can control space to such an extent?! He’s...! Dragging these things using Gravity?!"
Maria quickly tanked the teors, so big enough to destroy the planet, as she reached the monster, her glowing weapons overflowing with her combined energies.
"JUST DIE."
"NOOOOO!"
The Living Dinsion roared, its entire broken-down body lting into the Moon itself, beginning to turn the entire natural satellite into a giant black planetoid.
"Damn persistent thing!"
Maria quickly swung her sword and halberd down, unleashing a devastating barrage of slashing attacks, cutting through the monster’s entire body with powerful and decisive blows.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
And then...
"{Void Tears of the Starless Deep}!"
She unleashed the power of her new evolution once more, thousands of Void Tears bombarding the monster’s pieces, explosions of void erupting with each tear, constantly accumulating to the point reality started breaking apart and bleeding.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"GRAAAAHHHHH!"
The Nightmare Dinsion roared back, growing giant claws and tearing through Maria’s weapons, shattering them into pieces before slamming her stomach and sending her flying down toward the planet.
"I can’t fall; it’ll create too much destruction as it is!"
Maria quickly released her Aura at full strength, manipulating space around her and propelling herself back to the abomination, as her tentacles moved around, each conjuring a magic circle, controlling the void tears and unifying them into a spiraling, swirling lake of black water.
"DISAPPEAR!!!"
The Living Nightmare Dinsion greeted her with a gigantic concentration of nightmare and dinsional energies, firing it at Maria as a gigantic, world-destroying sphere.
And yet, Maria smiled.
"{Abyssal Dreamwave Dominion}!"
She waved her hands, as her Nightmare and Void Energies converged into an endless flow of energy. This was her Abyssal Dreamwave, a new type of power born from her newest evolution.
She unleashed a Dominion, a more powerful version of a Domain, spreading even further around her and using it to compress the dinsional energy and catch it with her bare hands.
TRUUUM!
"Take it back!"
Maria didn’t hesitate. Like a ball, she kicked the sphere of dinsional and nightmare energies, making it impact the dying dinsion, creating a massive explosion across empty space.
BOOOMMM!!!
