After hearing her words filled with concern, Diodes felt sympathy for Xiao Moxian and tried to comfort her.

"Please don’t worry," said the War Hero of Olympus. "The Murim Alliance—especially your sect—was wise to form a strong alliance with Olympus. My father Ares has always held Murim in high regard. He says there’s no world like it—a world of true warriors."

"Our wedding is coming soon..." the Sunblade Damsel said with a sigh.

"Why are you so upset?" Diodes asked, concerned.

"It’s not that I’m upset about the wedding. I’m worried that... we might not be able to marry if things continue like this," she replied.

"Xiao Moxian... My dear, it’s quite adorable how worried you are. I had no idea you had this side to you," Diodes smiled. "Perhaps I’ve fallen even more for you now..."

"Ahhh... you," Xiao giggled, kissing his chin and then his lips.

"Don’t worry about a thing. I have an army of ten thousand Trojans with ," Diodes laughed, lifting his future wife into his arms. "Whoever dares to hurt or frighten my wife will pay dearly—not even their souls shall be spared! Our union signifies not only the alliance between your sect and my father’s pantheon, but also our love, a love between worlds."

"I know..." Xiao Moxian smiled. "But be careful... okay?"

"Fine," Diodes chuckled. "Now, shall we go eat? I just hunted the largest wild boar you’ve ever seen!"

"Is that so, dear?" Xiao giggled, holding his large arm with her delicate hands. "I hope the at isn’t as tough as the hide!"

"I’ll make sure to grill it well!" Diodes grinned, lifting her again and carrying her in his muscular arms. She laughed, slowly relaxing.

"What are you doing, you fool? Everyone will stare now!" Xiao Moxian laughed.

"Well, then let them watch! Hahaha!" Diodes laughed heartily.

As they walked down into the town, Diodes’ soldiers—many of whom were not automatons—spoke with various sect mbers and won they fancied. Diodes had promised them all beautiful Murim wives, but they had to beat them on their own. The won of Murim were not easily impressed; they were often unruly and prideful like no other.

"Well, look at her... all happy with her super handso war hero husband."

"She’s so lucky... ugh."

"You two should go find husbands then," the Empress said, glaring at her two elder daughters. "It’s unbelievable your little sister beat you to it."

"But Mother, there’s no one who can match !"

"And there’s no one as handso as Diodes among his n."

"Haaa... Ares wishes for our families to beco one. Among Diodes’ n, most are relatives of him or his siblings," said the Sunshine Empress. "That’s why even the lowest soldier in Olympus possesses Divine Power. They are blessed beings with blessed bloodlines. Imagine the child Xiao will have with Diodes... we will rise high in Murim. Of course, once that woman is dealt with—that filthy necromancer."

"I wonder what that handso assassin is doing..."

"Oh, Xiao’s childhood friend? They say he managed to escape alive..."

As the Empress overheard her daughter’s gossiping, she stepped down from her throne and began preparing for what was to co. A new ssage arrived through the crystal ball.

"I see. That is a great idea."

As the darkness of night faded and the sun rose rapidly over the Thousand Mountains, a weary assassin made his way ho. He leapt through a waterfall and entered the dark depths of a mountain, walking through a hidden passage illuminated only by ghostly purple flas. He arrived at his destination—a great black and red castle where a dark family and an even darker sect lived and thrived.

The Tang Family and the Poison Sect.

"I’m back..." the assassin said, kneeling before the building as dozens of shadowy figures erged from the darkness within the cave, their dark red eyes watching him.

Suddenly, a taller figure stepped out of the shadows, standing atop the Poison Sect’s castle. He jumped down silently, landing in front of the assassin.

His entire body was shrouded in darkness, with only his purple eyes visible.

"Lin Ming, you’ve returned. We already received your ssage from your Crow Spirit," said the man in a somber tone. "You seem well. I expected you to co back bleeding and half-dead. I was already prepared to throw you away."

"I managed to survive..." Lin Ming replied, omitting the part where the Hero of Light from another world had saved and healed him multiple tis. "I may not have returned with anyone’s head, but the information I gathered should be more than enough."

"Indeed it is. Well done," the man said, his Aura surging with power. Purple poisonous Ki and shadows spread around Lin Ming, who panicked.

"Aaack! W-What is...! Sect Master... Why?!" Lin Ming cried, vomiting blood.

"You’re omitting sothing. I know you’re hiding sothing from . There’s no way you could return with almost no wounds—your body feels even healthier than when you left!" the Sect Master said, his Immortal Aura overwhelming. "What are you hiding from ?! Lin Ming, rember your oath! You cannot lie to ."

"I-I...!" Lin Ming stamred, thinking about Jonathan and the kindness that still lingered in his heart. "The man I fought was a foolish idealist... even after defeating , he spared my life... and healed ."

"...What?!" The Immortal was stunned, as were the other assassins present.

"He... what?! Soone forgave an assassin. He... you’re not lying either..."

"What does this an?"

"He was forgiven?"

"Soone spared the life of soone like us?"

"Lin Ming is a Golden Core Expert... maybe it was because of his strength."

"Perhaps the warrior admired his power? No, it can’t be that simple..."

"Silence," the Immortal commanded, and everyone fell silent imdiately.

"You’re clearly not lying... but why did you choose to omit this information?"

"I... thought you would punish for it. I apologize," Lin Ming said. "I feel completely humiliated... I should’ve died that day, and yet here I am—alive only because of soone’s kindness."

"...Kindness, huh?" The Immortal scoffed. "What a fool. It’s clear he was a Player from another world—a much weaker world, I bet. Lin Ming, you were simply lucky enough to fight an idiot. Don’t get overconfident. The next ti you et him, you will kill him—or you will no longer be accepted in this sect. An assassin who doesn’t kill and is spared by his foe has no place here. What’s next? Are you going to drink tea with him and tell funny jokes?"

Lin Ming nodded, lowering his head to the floor and closing his eyes.

"I understand... This lowly disciple is deeply regretful of his actions. I promise it won’t happen again."
