What exactly is this move?
Jia Yan stared at the incoming slap from the Sea Cow Monster, wanting to dodge, but was unable to move his body no matter what.
It felt as if he were being bound, with ropes wrapped around his entire body from head to toe. It was nearly impossible for Jia Yan to break free using his own strength.
Even Longta, who was watching the battle from the side, showed a hint of astonishnt upon witnessing this power. He, being potentially at the Stellar Level, couldn’t figure out how to break this Talent Power either. Of course, he could rely on sheer power to force through it, but that would be a lower-grade approach in terms of technique.
“What should I do!?”
The Sea Cow Monster’s attack nearly reached Jia Yan’s head. Although Jia Yan was confident that with his Bluish Defense, he wouldn’t be killed by this strike outright, he knew injury was unavoidable.
“I’ve got it!”
Suddenly, in this critical mont, Jia Yan seed to have thought of sothing.
In the space behind Jia Yan’s body, an incredibly terrifying gravitational force suddenly erged.
“What is this?”
The Sea Cow Monster felt this force abruptly appear, his expression shifting. His attack angle was pulled by this gravitational force, and shockingly, it ended up striking Jia Yan’s shoulder instead.
Across the Starry Sky, a massive explosion of sparks erupted.
Jia Yan rolled and flew away from the center of the battlefield. A crack appeared on his shoulder, where the Bluish Defense glead prominently.
To everyone’s knowledge, in the activated state of Bluish Defense, Jia Yan’s defense had virtually never been breached. Yet, this Peak of Honorables-level Sea Cow Monster managed to leave a slight crack in the Bluish Defense, a testant to his terrifying attack power.
Jia Yan was astonished, but little did he know that the astonishnt felt by his opponent was even greater.
“Wha-what? What was that move of the Flying Monster earlier? A black hole? Such terrifying gravitational force, and his defense— I couldn’t even completely crush his shoulder with one slap… Wait a minute!”
The Sea Cow Monster studied Jia Yan’s shoulder injury with a scrutinizing gaze, suddenly freezing as if he had seen sothing unbelievable.
It turned out that under his observation, the slight crack on Jia Yan’s shoulder was visibly, gradually repairing itself within the bluish glow.
“Such a horrifying regeneration ability? Or is this so kind of special physique?”
Not only was the Sea Cow Monster stunned, but the two Stellar Level Strong Ones watching Jia Yan and Duo Jian’s clash also seed utterly flabbergasted, as if swept away by shock and disbelief.
“This kid— his na is Jia Yan, isn’t it? His regenerative ability is terrifying, isn’t it? That black hole was only a minor trick. If a way to counter it is found, it can be neutralized. But his physique? That’s far more frightening. What kind of species is this? Such a terrifying species— I’ve never heard of it before.”
Xi Fei looked at Jia Yan’s terrifying physique with a speechless sense of amazent. In particular, his confidence in Duo Jian seed to waver sowhat.
To Xi Fei, Duo Jian, this Sea Cow Monster, was strongest for his Great Clan Special Techniques. Yet now, with Jia Yan leveraging black holes for disruption and possessing an overwhelmingly durable physique, even if Duo Jian were to win, killing Jia Yan would be as difficult as scaling the heavens.
In the sky, Jia Yan thrust out a forelimb.
Suddenly, this forelimb appeared next to Duo Jian, and Jia Yan, who was tens of kiloters away, disappeared in an instant and reappeared beside Duo Jian.
“Good timing!”
Duo Jian roared out. As a Genius from the Stellar Academy, he was confident in his strength. Even though he reluctantly admitted Jia Yan’s trickiness, he still didn’t believe he couldn’t deal with him.
Jia Yan’s strike approached, and Duo Jian spun sharply. Jia Yan imdiately felt his thrusting forelimb tighten.
His body was once again bound.
But, this ti, Duo Jian wasn’t able to completely gain the upper hand. As the binding force manifested, a terrifying gravitational force suddenly enveloped him, breaking apart his binding power in one fell swoop.
“Damn it! Such a crude move, utterly devoid of elegance! I’ll bet you weren’t born into one of the Great Clans, huh?” Duo Jian angrily cursed as he retreated, shouting in frustration.
“That’s correct. Not a Great Clan. Winning is all that matters, isn’t it?”
Jia Yan responded blandly, relentlessly pressing forward in his attacks.
Both fighters’ talents and techniques were on completely different paths. Jia Yan leaned towards direct brutality, while his opponent opted for refined precision. Both sides had trump cards protecting them from being killed instantly, turning this battle into an endurance match.
The aerial battle was intensely fierce.
Below, the spectators watching the fight were srized, entirely captivated.
“My heavens! Only now do I realize that even at the Respect Level, strength can reach this point. As a Semi-permanent Star Level Genius, if I were to go up there, I’d likely be unable to defeat these two Respect Level fighters.”
“Of course! Your strength barely reaches one percent of a Semi-permanent Star Level fighter. Jia Yan has already fought into the top ten ranks before. Compared to you, the gap between you and these two fighters is astronomical.”
“To think that these two geniuses could clash to this degree! Especially with Jia Yan being called in at the last mont, and his opponent being stronger by a small Level. No matter how you view it, Jia Yan fighting like this is already a victory.”
“I agree. Even if Jia Yan’s strength is sowhat less than the opponent’s, the gap isn’t massive. Fighting like this despite being one Level lower— if it were , I’d have given up long ago.”
The chatter below, though unable to sway the battle itself, occasionally distracted the two combatants.
“Duo Jian, you hear that, right? You’re a small Level stronger than , yet you can’t defeat . You might as well surrender now; it’d save you the embarrassnt of losing to later.”
Jia Yan teased the opponent.
“You don’t understand. I’m from a Great Clan. Once I step into my next Level, I’ll be a top-level Genius by birth. You, even if you advance, will only be a marginal High-level Genius. Your words an nothing to ; they won’t shake in the slightest.”
Duo Jian seed to respond, though his reply also felt more like a retort against Jia Yan.
Hearing this, a flicker of brilliance flashed in Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes.
From these words, he could deduce several underlying ssages.
For instance, Jia Yan learned that Duo Jian wasn’t yet qualified as a top-level Genius. Similarly, Duo Jian didn’t consider Jia Yan a top-level Genius currently. So how fearso must a true top-level Genius be?
Another point was Duo Jian’s affiliation with a so-called Great Clan. But what is a Great Clan, exactly?
Jia Yan thought over this, vaguely grasping so understanding, though he ultimately shrugged it off indifferently.
“Right now, all I need to do is focus on fighting. The answers to these questions will co naturally in ti.”
Jia Yan slipped into Subspace.
“Trying to ambush again?”
Without even looking, Duo Jian directly slamd his Sea Cow’s palm toward a spot behind him.
Jia Yan’s forelimb unexpectedly erged from that exact location, eting Duo Jian’s palm in a resounding clash.
The two Strong Ones exchanged yet another blow. Jia Yan used his Brainwave Power to rapidly create distance between them. At the sa mont, Duo Jian’s Talent of control barely touched Jia Yan, who managed to narrowly escape, avoiding the threat.
Both faced monts of peril, yet neither was truly in danger. Their strengths were too closely matched.
“Alright, Jia Yan, Duo Jian, how about we declare this match a tie?”
Just as Jia Yan prepared to attack further, Longta’s intervention cut him off.
“Hmm? Longta, could it be that you’re frightened?” Xi Fei smirked coldly from the side.
Jia Yan abruptly halted his movent, sowhat puzzled as to why Longta proposed calling the match even.
Duo Jian stopped his actions as well. Compared to Jia Yan, he seed slightly fatigued, his stamina waning visibly.
“Afraid? Not at all. I simply believe that if this continues, they’ll never determine a winner. Instead of settling this here, I’d suggest waiting until we arrive at the Central Star Area for a proper rematch between Jia Yan and Duo Jian. What do you think?”
Longta’s words prompted Xi Fei to reflect deeply. His gaze sharpened as he studied Jia Yan with renewed interest.
“Heh, you sly fellow— your plan is likely to give Jia Yan ti to improve further, isn’t it? Allow to remind you, Duo Jian has also been cultivating a Secret Technique from his species recently. By then, he won’t be the only one with improvent.”
“He has a Secret Technique?” Jia Yan was surprised, glancing at Duo Jian in front of him.
Seeing Jia Yan’s gaze, Duo Jian’s expression turned cold. Although he acknowledged Jia Yan’s strength, his innate arrogance toward creatures not born into Great Clans remained evident.
This attitude confird for Jia Yan that Xi Fei’s words about Duo Jian’s Secret Technique were accurate.
“Fine! Duo Jian, we’ll fight again in one month. I hope your Clan’s Secret Technique will be ready by then.” Jia Yan decisively made up his mind.
“Very well. Just prepare yourself to endure longer under my Clan’s Secret Technique.” Duo Jian acknowledged with a faint grimace, clearly annoyed.
If not for their closely matched powers, Duo Jian would’ve likely already killed this bumpkin Genius who seemingly appeared out of nowhere.
“Since both sides have agreed to this rematch, I have no objections. I’ll proceed to the central area of your Genius Battlefield, and one month from now, I hope you can gather various Level geniuses for my students to compete against.”
Xi Fei, seeing Duo Jian and Jia Yan reach an agreent, felt he couldn’t interject further. He stomped his goat-like foot.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The heavens echoed with thunderous rumblings before a massive tear suddenly appeared within the Void Circle above the Starry Sky.
Xi Fei slowly flew toward the opening crack. “Then, we shall et again in one month.”
Xi Fei entered the rift in the Void, while Duo Jian, still facing Jia Yan, cast a glowing glance at him.
“Jia Yan, be ready to die in one month!”
Duo Jian took off, disappearing into the Void Circle.
Faintly, the creatures in the Starry Sky could still see several other monsters in that Void Circle, including one whose massive size was nearly comparable to Xi Fei…
This sight only lasted a brief mont before vanishing.
