Chapter 1375: Chapter 28 Genius Battlefield: The Dark Forces [Please Subscribe to the Official Version]
The explosive power of the space stone was the strongest trump card Jia Yan developed while in the 132 Star Zone. It was also the thod he previously used to slay that space monster.
Now that he had the energy of the evolutionary creature’s cellular body as his newest trump card, exposing this thod no longer mattered!
Jia Yan entered subspace, and the explosion caused by the space stone instantly vanished.
“What terrifying power!”
Jia Yan himself was witnessing for the first ti what the explosion of a space stone looked like in normal space. Even as the user, he couldn’t help but be taken aback.
The external world underwent a shocking transformation. The entire space, due to the energy eruption from the space stone, caused the bodies of the two interdiate genius secondary powerhouses to be damaged directly in the energy strike. The giant pincer monster’s pincers had blasted into gray dust, while the head of another massive creature vaporized in an instant, turning into cosmic particles.
The fleets brought by the two creatures faltered entirely. So ships closer to the explosion also experienced chain detonations.
One battleship after another shattered, while those fortunate enough to avoid damage flew about wildly in terror amidst the blasts.
No one could have anticipated that such a small stone could cause such devastation. Even the distant Tianhe Force Fleet, thousands of kiloters away, was severely affected.
“How terrifying! What on earth is this? If I had been at the center of that explosion, I could have been gravely injured!”
Tian Tesu stared in astonishnt at the center of the explosion. From this distance, Jia Yan’s earlier actions were crystal clear to him. He distinctly saw Jia Yan toss out a small stone, which then caused the cosmic explosion.
Could this be Jia Yan’s trump card? A dignitary capable of such a trump card?
Tian Tesu was astounded. Xibala and the other strong ones nearby shared similarly shocked reactions.
And at that mont, as the various creatures’ emotions wavered due to Jia Yan’s move, his blue forelimbs appeared outside one of the enemy battleships.
This battleship, unable to control its flight due to the shockwave from the explosion, drifted aimlessly.
Erging from subspace, Jia Yan lunged toward the battleship!
A mont later, the battleship was destroyed, and Jia Yan’s real body appeared in the vacuum.
“That flying monster is still alive? Retreat!”
The surrounding enemy battleships witnessed the scene, and their monstrous crew collectively gasped. They knew their two leaders, both interdiate genius secondary powerhouses, had just been killed in an explosion unleashed by this late-stage dignitary creature. And yet, it remained unhard. Realizing they were no match, they imdiately chose to flee in scattered directions.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
At that mont, Tian Tesu’s fleet and others had already arrived to join the chase.
The entire Tianhe Force fleet split into several groups, pursuing the fleeing enemies across multiple escape paths.
Jia Yan glanced at the battlefield and, realizing it no longer concerned him, shook his head and refrained from continuing the pursuit.
“Jia Yan, your actions were far too reckless!”
As expected, upon returning to the battleship, Tian Tesu’s discontented brainwave power carried directly into Jia Yan’s ears.
“My apologies, Sir Tian Tesu. I just wanted to see how much my strength had grown over the past year.” Jia Yan awkwardly stamred, unable to refute.
He knew this ti it was his fault and naturally didn’t argue back.
“Tian Tesu, stop scolding Lord Jia Yan. He’s so impressive, and yet you’re reprimanding him. Also, did you see just now? He killed two interdiate genius secondary powerhouses despite being at a lower level. Can’t you say sothing positive for a change?”
Off to the side, Xibala, appearing to have beco an outright Jia Yan superfan, defended him no matter what.
“Fine, Lord Jia Yan, perhaps I did speak too harshly. That said, refrain from making similar moves in the future. Not every enemy you encounter will already be injured before your battle. If they had been at full strength, it’s unlikely that explosive energy would have killed them. After all, strong ones have nurous ways to survive.”
Tian Tesu, recalling the terrifying power of Jia Yan’s explosion, was still sowhat shaken. Yet, he also understood the limitations of such an attack. If it were himself, he could think of several ways to deal with Jia Yan before the energy was even unleashed, or at the very least to escape unscathed.
“Understood, Sir Tian Tesu. I will be more cautious in the future.”
Jia Yan humbly accepted Tian Tesu’s admonishnt.
The pursuing Tianhe Force warships soon returned. However, as they were not specialized in exterminating pirates, a small portion of the enemy battleships managed to escape.
Still, the Tianhe Force fleet wasn’t on a mission to eradicate pirates. Having wiped out most of the enemy’s main forces and killed two interdiate genius secondary powerhouses, the pirate group had essentially lost all combat capability.
“Let’s move on to the next territory. Pirates like these won’t appear there.”
The fleet continued its voyage. However, following this battle, everyone beca significantly more cautious.
Jia Yan, anwhile, retreated to his strong ones’ warship, letting Xiaoya operate it while he lay on the ground. Quietly, he reflected on the earlier fight.
“As Tian Tesu ntioned, my space stone explosion power, though formidable, has its limitations. If the enemy is prepared, I could easily end up sabotaging myself.”
No matter what, Tian Tesu remained an interdiate genius semi-permanent star powerhouse. Although initially intimidated by Jia Yan’s explosion, he quickly discerned its weaknesses.
Thus, Jia Yan’s assessnt of this attack was not entirely glowing.
Of course, techniques always require refinent. Jia Yan understood the space stone explosion had significant rits—such as requiring very little of his own energy—making it worth further study.
After contemplating a few plans, Jia Yan received another communication from Tian Tesu.
“Are those strong ones really just pirates? Such entities exist even in the Genius Battlefield?”
Jia Yan found Tian Tesu’s statent surprising.
In the Genius Battlefield, Jia Yan had encountered a lone monstrous robber when he first arrived, but he hadn’t heard of such activities reoccurring. Moreover, he didn’t expect fully organized pirate groups to exist here.
“Indeed, we’re facing complications now. This group belongs to a professional pirate faction occupying the interstitial zones between various forces. There are even rumors that their strength rivals that of an ordinary dium force from the Central Star Area. They reportedly have five high-level semi-permanent star powerhouses alone.”
After hearing Tian Tesu’s explanation, Jia Yan ended the communication with a serious expression.
He understood now—the pirate fleet they had just wiped out belonged to a massive pirate faction from the Central Star Area. It even held a special ‘qualification certificate’ from the Genius Battlefield official.
This was a peculiar facet of the Central Star Area. Due to the belief that the Genius Battlefield required both rules and opposition for its effectiveness, these “dark forces” lurking in the shadows were tolerated to so extent!
“After so investigation, I discovered that not only in the Central Star Area but also across nurous other star zones, similar pirate and assassination factions exist. So of these factions are so powerful that they even boast their own top-tier geniuses… utterly terrifying!”
After researching online data, Jia Yan grasped the entire picture surrounding these dark forces.
“The pirate fleet we annihilated belonged to a faction known as the North Group, which has five high-level semi-permanent stars in their ranks. They operate in this stretch of the starry sky, and even many dium forces dare not provoke them. Having destroyed one of their fleets, we’re bound to face retribution…”
The data Jia Yan reviewed was based on Tian Tesu’s guidance, and as he perused the information, a heavy feeling settled over him.
Provoking a dark faction could result in terrible consequences. Accounts of factions that angered such forces often spoke of devastating revenge, with entire entities razed to the ground. Even avoiding annihilation usually resulted in endless harassnt.
Even factions stronger than the dark forces preferred to avoid entanglents with them. Such groups, unrestrained in their actions, were a nightmare to deal with if they set their sights on soone.
“The North Group is particularly known for its vindictiveness. Online records indicate that they once mobilized a massive army to annihilate a small faction that destroyed one of their fleets. The matter only ended after a high-level semi-permanent star from the North Group committed self-destruction.”
The willingness of a high-level semi-permanent star powerhouse to make such a sacrifice left Jia Yan feeling a cold sweat.
He was worried. If the faction decided to target their fleet, it would spell disaster.
“Sir Tian Tesu, since we didn’t reveal the Tianhe Force’s na during the previous battle, let’s refrain from exposing our affiliation for now and see how things develop.”
Jia Yan offered his suggestion, and Tian Tesu, after so consideration, reluctantly agreed.
Fortunately, since the Tianhe Force banner wasn’t raised during the fight, keeping their origin hidden seed feasible. Tian Tesu had no desire to bring trouble to the Tianhe Force.
Now, it was a matter of waiting to see whether the North Group would retaliate. After all, it wasn’t guaranteed that they would prioritize every single fleet lost in action.
Unfortunately, this hope turned out to be misplaced.
Soti after Jia Yan and his allies annihilated the pirate fleet, a massive fleet located billions of kiloters away received a distress signal from the surviving ships.
“What? My brother, who had gone out to rob under the Autumn Wind Project, was wiped out by an unknown fleet? Excellent. Though I didn’t particularly like that brother, I cannot leave his death unavenged. n, move out!”
A creature resembling the claw-footed monster Jia Yan had just killed let out a booming cry. Raising its massive pincers, it controlled its battleship to speed toward the region where Jia Yan and the Tianhe Force fleet were located!
