Chapter 1380: Chapter 33 The Most Enjoyable Flight! [Please subscribe to the official version]
Jia Yan listened to the intensely comrcialized shouts of advertisent, almost thinking he had traveled back to Earth. But as his sharp eyes took in the monstrous geniuses yelling around him, he couldn’t help but chuckle and shake his head.
All this ti, he had been focused on advancing himself. After arriving at the Genius Battlefield, he hadn’t taken the ti to properly observe the local customs. A lively place like this, brimming with the breath of life, was sothing he was seeing for the first ti.
“Hey there, Next-Level Genius! You look like a big spender—co check this out! This energy is top-notch, give it a feel,”
Soone running a small stall—a monster—saw Jia Yan passing by and eagerly called out to him.
“Oh?” Jia Yan, feeling a bit bored, decided to go take a look.
“Can you feel it? The purity of this energy, the rich texture—this is premium energy! Your tallic body might just need it. How about it? Only 2,000 Genius Yuan per kilogram.”
“Heh, no thanks,” Jia Yan chuckled, shaking his head as he walked away.
The energy the vendor displayed might intrigue ordinary strong geniuses, but as an Evolutionary Creature, Jia Yan was far too sensitive to energy. Upon sensing it, he imdiately realized that while it gave an excellent first impression, its actual energy density was far from ideal. It was likely a cheaply modified product, crafted by so unscrupulous rchant.
Of course, anyone buying it would either knowingly accept this fact or be the biggest fool in the universe. Who would believe such cheap goods could actually offer powerful energy?
Jia Yan strolled past stall after stall, finding nothing worthwhile but being pulled into countless sales pitches along the way.
Gradually, he began to understand the energy market’s dirty secrets. It turned out most of these stalls were running scams. Obviously, there were genuine treasures, but their prices were exorbitantly high.
“Hmm… this energy here isn’t bad, and the price is just right.”
Stopping at a stall run by a Supre Monster, Jia Yan’s eyes lit up.
On the makeshift table, laid out openly, were piles of energy materials that anyone could tell had been mined from so mineral-rich planet.
The minerals hadn’t even been processed; they were just sitting there as they were.
Unfortunately, Jia Yan wasn’t the only sharp-eyed buyer in the marketplace. When he arrived, a Secondary Powerhouse was already negotiating over the price with the stall owner.
“Listen, kid! This energy material caught my eye for a reason. I’m no energy rchant—I’m a mineral enthusiast. I know exactly what this stuff is, and I’m telling you, my collection is missing this exact mineral. So, here’s my offer: 500 Genius Yuan per kilogram, and I’ll take everything off your hands. Saves you the trouble of running your stall. What do you say?”
The speaker was a gorilla-like beast, whose enormous physique bore down on the Supre Monster stall owner, exuding an oppressive aura.
“No way. Three of my teammates were heavily injured mining this—just for to acquire it! I need to sell these minerals to buy dicine for their recovery. Your price isn’t acceptable,” the Supre Monster shook his head, firmly refusing.
“Don’t test my patience by refusing goodwill. I’m just looking to add to my collection. No one else in this whole market would buy these scraps. Take my offer or regret it!” The Secondary Monster’s eyes glowed nacingly as its intimidating pressure flared.
Just as the overwheld Supre Monster faltered, clearly hesitant to respond under the intense pressure, a voice rang out from behind them.
“Your raw mineral—1,500 Genius Yuan per kilogram, right? I’ll take it all. Pack it up for !”
“Hmm?”
The Secondary Powerhouse and the stall owner froze montarily, turning toward the source of the voice. What they saw was a creature with a brilliantly tallic sheen, standing tall and exuding confidence.
Clearly, the raw minerals the stall owner was offering were what this individual was referring to.
“Do you even know minerals? This junk isn’t worth 1,500 Genius Yuan per kilogram. Don’t disrupt the marketplace!” the Secondary Powerhouse barked, eyeing the tal Monster critically. Though it appeared to be another Secondary Monster, its true abilities seed obscured, rendering its talents unreadable.
That tal Monster, of course, was Jia Yan. With his current tallic octopus form, his nurous tentacles stirred up gusts of wind as they swayed in response to the arrogant remark.
“You question the tallic Tribe’s expertise in minerals? That’s an insult to my species! Get on the battle platform—right now! I challenge you to a duel. No turning back, no holding back!”
He flared up like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, his aggressive stance vividly clear.
“Crazy! I’m not wasting my ti fighting you. These things aren’t worth 1,500 Genius Yuan, let alone a battle to the death. Forget it—I’m leaving!”
The Secondary Monster, realizing Jia Yan was truly ready to risk life and limb over a trivial confrontation, backed down and left in frustration.
Once the Secondary Monster had gone, Jia Yan controlled his tallic body, drawing closer to the stall and leaning down to inspect the minerals.
“Pack them up—I’m taking them all.”
Jia Yan didn’t bother haggling, ordering the stall owner to wrap everything up.
Actually, the other Secondary Powerhouse wasn’t wrong. The real value of these minerals was around 1,500 Genius Yuan per kilogram. Moreover, their imdiate use required further processing. The previous offer of 500 Genius Yuan could’ve allowed a profit margin.
But Jia Yan was different. He didn’t need to refine or process them, and these energy materials were particularly suited to his needs, so there was no question of losing out. In fact, he stood to gain.
“By the way, where did you get these minerals? If you’re willing to tell , I’ll pay you an additional 10,000 Genius Yuan.” Jia Yan had just paid for 50 kilograms of the minerals, with 30% of his funds now down to a re 10,000 left.
“Uh… fine. My team can’t return there anyway.”
After a mont of hesitation, the Supre Monster stall owner relayed the origin of the minerals to Jia Yan.
Of course, the dangers of the site were also made abundantly clear. Whether or not Jia Yan chose to go would be entirely up to him.
Not long after, a faint beam of light shot out of Xing Lang Star.
“So it’s really not that far. If I refuel my Conceptual Ship with so energy and use my subspace travel ability, I can make a round trip in just a day…”
The faint light was none other than Jia Yan. At present, he still enveloped himself in the tallic Conceptual Warship. The more he used it, the more he appreciated it, finding that its interface with his body was increasingly seamless and comfortable.
Of course, what Jia Yan found most satisfying was that he could now activate his Cellular Energy without restraint. To outsiders, it seed as though the tallic body itself was emitting the energy, leaving no clue to his actual state.
With the support of the Conceptual Ship, his combat prowess now reached the level of a Next-Level High-class Genius. Whether he could challenge the very peak of that tier was another question.
Amid the vastness of the Universe, Jia Yan calculated his trajectory and then propelled his tallic octopus body forward!
The tentacles at the front plunged into subspace first.
Then, his entire colossal form followed.
His tallic body now asured approximately 500 ters in length—neither small nor overly large.
Within subspace’s endlessly shifting distortions, a black hole ford in front of Jia Yan to block the storms and turbulence. However, the few spatial stones embedded in it proved insufficient, making precise control a bit challenging.
Before long, Jia Yan simply allowed the black hole to shift behind him, exposing his tallic body directly to the chaotic environnt of subspace.
“As I thought, this tal even has resistance to subspace’s distortions!”
Jia Yan quickly confird this finding.
He’d already suspected it—the mory tal’s surface appeared extrely smooth, even in subspace, granting it a certain fluidity that substantially reduced the impact of distortions. This allowed the tal to minimize much of the interference.
This discovery delighted Jia Yan, prompting him to push his subspace talent to even greater speeds.
“Amazing! Incredible! I bet the Liqiao Force geniuses who designed this Conceptual Ship never expected that a Space Talent user like myself would not only obtain it but also use it to reach such speeds in subspace!”
Jia Yan grew ever more enamored with his new Conceptual Ship. Now, when he zipped through subspace, his speed was several tis greater than before.
As Jia Yan traversed subspace, passing through zones where spaces overlapped, he swiftly darted past a small fleet that happened to be stationed there.
“Huh? I’ve spotted the murderer! So fast! What’s going on?!”
Within the fleet, a massive Semi-permanent Star Monster sensed the target of its burning hatred. But it was stunned to realize the enemy flew by so rapidly that there was barely ti to react.
“Chase them!”
It imdiately issued the order, its expression darkening.
“Looks like this killer possesses so kind of Space Talent. Their movent speed in subspace is significant—possibly even Semi-permanent Star Level. This could be troubleso…”
“Though, doesn’t a challenge make it all the more entertaining? Heh!”
…
Unaware that he had inadvertently drawn attention from a presence he least wished to encounter, Jia Yan continued his journey through subspace, his mood growing increasingly exuberant.
“What a rush! With this Conceptual Ship, my speed has soared to unbelievable levels. Plus, navigating subspace feels so safe and comfortable. This is the first ti I’ve felt truly at ease here, how amazing!”
Jia Yan thought repeatedly about how purchasing this Conceptual Ship had been one of the best decisions of his life. The only downside? He glanced at the energy ter and noticed how quickly the recently loaded 50 blocks of energy material had dwindled. After converting just three blocks, the Energy Conversion Machine consud them almost instantly, leaving Jia Yan sowhat exasperated.
“At this rate, I’ll only have about thirty blocks left when I reach my destination. Using the Conceptual Ship for long-distance travel clearly isn’t feasible unless I stockpile at least a couple thousand tons of ultra-high-energy material to haul around in subspace. The cost alone would be astronomical.”
For the first ti, Jia Yan felt a true appreciation for the importance of wealth.
“Let’s just hope that place has at least one or two tons of what I need. That would be enough to satisfy .”
After flying for half a day, Jia Yan completed his subspace journey at an exceptional speed.
“I’m here.”
Enjoying the unprecedented combination of speed, comfort, and security during his trip, Jia Yan piloted his Conceptual Ship and erged from subspace.
If this journey could be described with a single set of terms, it would be: comfortable, secure, and fast. For the first ti, Jia Yan found subspace no longer a fearful unknown but a conquerable realm that even held a touch of enjoynt.
