“Now it’s your turn!”
The semi-permanent star monster stomped the high-level talent sub-barrier avatar of Jia Yan into the ground, and a blazing flash of fiery light appeared in its eyes.
It flew toward Jia Yan, who was fleeing ahead.
“Hmph! Unable to enter subspace!”
Jia Yan was flying forward, but he felt that his body couldn’t enter subspace.
A sub-barrier powerhouse, even if he utilized the characteristics of the conceptual ship and perfectly combined it with his cellular power, making his strength far surpass ordinary sub-barrier powerhouses, still couldn’t possibly rival an actual sub-barrier powerhouse.
Especially in terms of normal flight speed, the opponent’s pursuit was extrely fast, and now, no matter how hard Jia Yan tried, the distance between them kept shrinking.
Boom!
At a certain mont, Jia Yan felt that the world around him suddenly went dark!
The foe had unleashed the power to control heaven and earth.
This was where semi-permanent star-level powerhouses were most similar to stellar-level monsters.
Although they couldn’t compare to stellar-level monsters, their controlling powers were still beyond the reach of sub-barrier levels, especially given Jia Yan’s current strength. He had yet to reach sub-barrier and was only a dignitary, rely resembling a sub-barrier powerhouse thanks to the conceptual ship and cellular energy.
“Movent is difficult! But I won’t give up!”
A strange glint flickered in Jia Yan’s eyes, and then he suddenly darted toward a nearby open space.
In truth, Jia Yan admitted he had miscalculated. He hadn’t expected the Star of Carnival to have setups that controlled subspace talent, even affecting him to so degree.
“Changing direction? Useless.” The opponent, now right behind Jia Yan, sneered coldly as he saw Jia Yan attempt to change course.
This semi-permanent star being was several tis larger than Jia Yan’s current manifestation as the monstrous “crow” of several hundred ters in size, even reaching an approximate length of three to four kiloters.
Blocking out the sky and sun, the enemy unleashed a mighty claw swipe.
Unlike the one that struck down Jia Yan’s avatar, this was ant to end Jia Yan’s life in a single blow.
Since he viewed Jia Yan as an unknown sub-barrier talent, he didn’t see any reason for Jia Yan’s survival. If they feared killing any talented provocateurs, wouldn’t it invite chaos from all sorts of “geniuses” in the future?
This semi-permanent star genius was a creature with interdiate talent, and his power within the Dark Realm was apparently even stronger than interdiate-talent semi-permanent star geniuses elsewhere.
Having calculated Jia Yan’s trajectory, he imdiately shifted his attack direction and lunged after Jia Yan, claw swinging.
The claw strike resonated thunderously, sounding like a deafening clap of lightning, a testant to its terrifying power.
Yet, against all expectations, the seemingly unstoppable strike suddenly deviated!
It turned out that as he delivered the blow, an inexplicable gravitational pull appeared beside his claw.
“What?”
The semi-permanent star monster glanced at the sky beside his claw, surprised, but found nothing.
“Hmph, so this is the power of subspace.”
In the next instant, the strange gravitational force erged again, causing his claw to deviate once more, narrowly brushing past the conceptual ship’s edge.
The repeated disruptions made the opponent realize what Jia Yan was up to.
Buzz!
The surroundings solidified fiercely.
The subspace talent, already subtly suppressed by nearby technological devices, now blocked Jia Yan entirely. He could no longer summon the subspace to aid him.
“Hmph, no tricks left, huh? Die!”
Flying ahead of the semi-permanent star monster, madness glead in Jia Yan’s eyes.
He knew his strength couldn’t compare to an interdiate-talent semi-permanent star-level genius, yet he absolutely refused to believe he could be eliminated in one strike.
“Our previous clash revealed sparks from an unfamiliar power within my body. If it happened once, why not again in another direct confrontation?”
A strange color flashed in Jia Yan’s eyes, and instead of dodging, he turned around abruptly and struck out with the claws of his monstrous “crow” form, colliding directly with the opponent’s massive dinosaur-like claw.
Bang!!!
A terrifying shockwave exploded between heaven and earth.
“What? Even I can’t break through this strength!”
The semi-permanent star powerhouse hadn’t expected Jia Yan to effectively block his strike. In their previous clash, he had held back to rescue his own genius compatriot instead of slaying Jia Yan outright. But this ti, he’d exerted sufficient force and never thought Jia Yan could withstand it.
But the results surprised him.
Their claws collided, and despite their apparent size differences, they proved equally matched in power. Unbelievably so.
After the strike, Jia Yan’s body was forced backward as alarms blared inside the conceptual ship, with nurous warning windows popping up.
Yet the opponent didn’t fare much better, recoiling at least five hundred ters from the impact!
Though Jia Yan was sent flying back by the recoil over a hundred kiloters, for a re sub-barrier powerhouse—even a high-level talent one—to pull this off was jaw-dropping for both the audience and monstrous bystanders.
Even Jia Yan himself was a bit puzzled.
“That last clash…I never expected this outco. I thought the conceptual ship would sustain damage, but now it’s just a few warnings. What’s going on?”
Jia Yan gazed curiously at the conceptual ship’s claw, spotting scorched marks and remnants of surging power left behind from the collision.
“Huh!? Was that power I used just now actually this potent?”
Jia Yan wondered.
He realized there was much about his Evolutionary Creature body that he didn’t yet understand—like his current combat capabilities.
For instance, he had always assud that the combination of cellular energy and the conceptual ship gave him ample strength but still left him slightly inferior to a typical high-level talent sub-barrier genius.
Now it was clear that he had underestimated his Evolutionary Creature body.
“My cellular energy never manifests so strongly during re flights, but it fully exploded in clashes with the opponent. Is this the true power of cellular energy?”
Jia Yan gazed at his body in stunned amazent.
A grin slowly spread across his face.
“If that’s the case, then let the battle truly begin!”
Jia Yan unexpectedly stopped dodging. Instead, he charged furiously at the startled semi-permanent star monster.
“Courting death!”
The semi-permanent star powerhouse, initially surprised by Jia Yan’s ability to withstand a direct clash, started entertaining the thought that Jia Yan might be an “elite genius.”
Elite geniuses could sotis rival interdiate-talent semi-permanent star powerhouses, even as re sub-barrier talents.
If Jia Yan were an elite genius, the powerhouse would certainly refrain from killing him. Such individuals were intertwined with powerful factions, and even the official Genius Battlefield would deploy stellar-level forces to ensure their safety.
Yet, seeing Jia Yan recklessly charge at him, the semi-permanent star monster abandoned all caution, deciding to strike without hesitation.
Boom!
Up near the starry layer of the planet’s atmosphere, a deafening collision sound erupted once again.
Despite the disparity in their strength, the two figures surprisingly seed evenly matched. Jia Yan was sent flying back over a hundred kiloters, yet the semi-permanent star opponent retreated several hundred ters once again.
Most astonishing of all was that Jia Yan erged seemingly unscathed.
“No doubt, my cellular energy manifests terrifying potential during direct clashes with opponents!”
Jia Yan finally grasped the imnse power encoded within his cellular energy.
“This should have been expected! I thought the ability to store energy in my cells was already miraculous, but I totally underestimated what Evolutionary Creatures were truly capable of. Cellular energy has even deeper secrets.”
Yet, even though Jia Yan recognized the untapped mysteries of his Evolutionary Creature body, he felt he had enough strength for now.
Facing the interdiate-talent semi-permanent star genius directly, Jia Yan felt no fear at all.
“Kid, stop now! I see you have remarkable talent. If you surrender and reveal the faction behind you, perhaps I’ll spare your life. Why insist on such a fight?”
The semi-permanent star opponent’s expression shifted upon realizing Jia Yan had survived yet another forceful strike.
But before he could finish his sentence, he sensed a threatening attack from behind, as if a dagger from the darkness was aid right at him.
“Who?”
The semi-permanent star genius snarled furiously and imdiately retaliated with a vicious counterstrike.
The attacker stumbled and flew dozens of kiloters away.
“So it’s you? That North Group brat! If you dare challenge our Group of Futile Life again, I won’t spare your miserable life this ti.”
Seeing the attacker was Jia Yan’s avatar—unrecognized by the foe—the semi-permanent star genius was enraged beyond words, filled with indignation at this perceived betrayal.
However, Jia Yan and his avatar shared the sa icy expression, unbothered by the opponent’s furious accusations.
The battlefield had shifted hundreds of kiloters away from the Star of Carnival by this point.
Here, Jia Yan sensed that the restrictions on his space talent were loosening.
“If it’s loosening, then the real battle begins…right now!”
With a chilling gaze, Jia Yan glared at the semi-permanent star genius from the Group of Futile Life.
Ard with space talent, cellular energy, the conceptual ship, and his high-level talent avatar, Jia Yan was no longer intimidated by this interdiate-talent semi-permanent star genius.
“Fight, fight, fight!”
