But now it’s different. Jia Yan, on the mysterious bridge, the first challenge of this outsider’s path, ran so fast, it surprised them all.
"Maybe this Jia Yan has sothing unique about his heart."
Wu Peili didn’t know that her random guess was actually correct.
This ti, the intelligence from several sides was a bit mismatched.
Jia Yan thought that the strong ones in this world were extrely powerful, while the powerful Grand Elder thought Jia Yan was of his level.
As for Wu Peili behind him, she believed Jia Yan had strength similar to hers, and even if stronger, not by much.
This resulted in a disparity of intelligence among the three parties, and perhaps sothing wondrous might happen later on.
Of course, overcoming the challenge was still the primary elent.
Keep crossing, keep crossing.
Jia Yan quickly dashed forward, leaving Wu Peili and Luzhi behind with no ti to react, as this outsider they brought along rushed through the first bridge obstacle.
"Impressive, even if he has so strength, being able to pass my Heart Heaven Bridge at such speed is indeed a testant to his capabilities."
In the high trees, the Grand Elder was extrely astonished by Jia Yan’s performance below.
"My Heart Bridge actually utilizes the finest Trembling Heart Rune, causing equivalent heartwave vibrations to the incoming beings. It’s clear that this being is entirely unaffected by his heart’s equivalent waves, proving his strength is indeed a bit beyond my expectations."
The Grand Elder was a bit surprised by Jia Yan’s speed in breaking through his first challenge, but thinking about the obstacles ahead, he beca less concerned.
He was confident in his thods; even if this outsider was as strong as he was, within this territory of his, he had far more ans and power.
In that instant, he stopped monitoring Jia Yan’s movents because he knew that next, Jia Yan would fall into a deeply long illusion, one even he couldn’t control the duration of.
After Jia Yan crossed the bridge, he saw a tree hollow at the end.
He stepped into it.
Inside the tree hollow, aside from a cloud of black smoke, there was nothing else.
"Let go inside then."
Jia Yan hesitated slightly and then walked into the vast black smoke.
As soon as he entered the black fog, he felt bouts of discomfort in his mind.
When he ca to his senses, his head still felt a bit dizzy.
"Such powerful smoke, it actually had a substantial effect on my heart and mind."
"This isn’t poison, but more like a thod akin to poison, yet different, this world indeed surpasses my imagination."
Jia Yan walked slowly in the smoke, wanting to see what cos next.
Before he could prepare further, his vision suddenly brightened.
He actually walked out of the huge fog land.
Just as Jia Yan stepped out of the fog.
The high-atop humanoid Grand Elder initially didn’t think Jia Yan could quickly leave his smoke setup point, but in that mont, almost spat out water in surprise.
"This guy broke through so quickly; did my smoke not affect him at all?"
The Grand Elder was in utter disbelief because this smoke was actually a weakened version of one of his Assassins. Even in its weakened form, any similar level being entering it would usually feel dizzy for a while.
He began to focus his heart and mind specifically on Jia Yan.
After observing for a while, he felt a tinge of amazent.
"What’s happening, has this guy really not noticed my peeping? I’ve observed him for so long, yet he hasn’t detected my presence, that doesn’t seem right."
Though unable to determine if Jia Yan was genuinely strong or a pretender, he saw that this running flying being indeed couldn’t detect his presence. The Grand Elder even disregarded the possibility of being detected and angered, outright using his ’Divine Sense’ to sweep over this being, but still received no reaction.
"Is he strong or not, and after closely observing now, the strength I thought he had earlier doesn’t match mine at all, yet his body indeed possesses a level of strength that even makes wary; how could this be?"
The Grand Elder was bewildered.
He was a seasoned strong one who had traveled many places in his youth, granting him broad vision and discernnt.
Yet at this mont, his self-proclaid broad experience was utterly useless.
"Perhaps, this guy is from sowhere even further than I imagined?"
He continued to gaze at Jia Yan with imnse curiosity.
And just as he was observing Jia Yan, Jia Yan reached this Grand Elder’s setup, facing the final checkpoint.
Truthfully, for other beings, passing even the first and second challenges wouldn’t be so easy, especially the second one— once caught in the illusion, they would feel trapped on a battlefield, having to fight extensively before possibly exiting.
So even lost their progress potential in the illusion.
However, for Jia Yan, the two challenges seed very simple, and he just ran through them.
Upon arriving at the third challenge, Jia Yan saw yet another open area.
This looked like a plaza within the tree hollow.
The size was suitable for strong ones’ combat level.
A bald man, appearing human, appeared before him.
"Oh, the first being to enter this year turns out to be an outsider?"
When Jia Yan arrived, the bald man gazed at him from afar with surprise.
"Indeed, that’s , an outsider, but it seems you allow outsiders to join this, whatever path it is."
The bald man didn’t show any anger or other emotions upon hearing this.
He rely nodded.
"Correct, outsiders can enter here, but I think your strength exceeds that of typical youngsters, which sowhat defies our rules."
"Is my strength stronger than usual youngsters?"
Jia Yan was taken aback, unaware that his strength was greater than the typical young of this species.
Because Brainwave Power couldn’t be unleashed, he judged a being’s might by their actual observed combat power.
And the combat power Wu Peili demonstrated before him was certainly not weak. Even just one move was enough to regard her as a powerful opponent.
Thus, he had always held the world’s beings, especially the youth like Wu Peili and others, with reverence towards stronger ones.
But now it seed the bald man claid he was stronger than their youngsters?
Perhaps Wu Peili isn’t considered a youth.
But to Jia Yan, this seed entirely impossible because Wu Peili and Luzhi always said they were youngsters.
This lack of understanding was evident on Jia Yan’s face, leading the bald man to think this being was exceptionally composed.
Having so understanding of Jia Yan’s strength earlier, he snorted coldly.
"Anyway, I don’t care if you’re a strong one from outside; we do welco outsiders here. You have remarkable strength, but my requirent here is to defeat , the Gatekeeper, so you naturally can reach the Grand Elder at the end. Co, let see your strength as an external strong one."
