Chapter 1961: Chapter 12: Take Action
The Grand Elder was battling with the monkey-like creature, his face shifting between gloomy and clear, looking extrely frustrated.
In contrast, the opponent appeared composed and confident, exuding a sense of pride.
“Haha, Grand Elder, I know you used to be the strongest in this forest, but things are different now. I’ve reached your level, and as for who is stronger between us, isn’t it obvious? I’m much younger than you. If we keep fighting, you are bound to lose, and all your subordinates who could help you are already entangled with my people. What options do you have? Today, your Forest Human Clan will be destroyed by us.”
This monkey-like creature, with power equal to that of the Grand Elder, had an explosiveness that was as terrifying as he claid, perhaps even a notch above the Grand Elder.
Of course, power is just one aspect of combat. Even this strong one does not believe he can easily and swiftly defeat the Grand Elder.
Yet he still believes he will achieve a swift victory, because how else could he dare fight here without any certainty?

With this thought, the incredibly terrifying monkey creature smiled faintly.
As they clashed, both parties constantly monitored the surrounding battles.
These two nearly invincible beings in the sa realm naturally could not quickly determine a winner, and if the outco depended solely on them, their subordinates might as well wait until they are done. However, they both knew that the outco often revolved around the fights of their subordinates.
Because these nearly invincible beings were not bluffing, unless they were determined to expend all their combat power to the death imdiately, they would only utilize partial strength and wait for a variable from the subordinates’ battles.
And they also realized that their current strength was insufficient to entirely eliminate the other; if the opponent wished to flee, it would be unstoppable.

The Grand Elder observed his own fighters being overpowered by the monkey tribe, even those with so resistance couldn’t support others and were just barely holding on.
This realization left him sowhat frustrated.
However, he quickly noticed a tall shadow quietly observing the fight behind a tree, and his eyes suddenly lit up.
“Mister Jia Yan, please lend a hand.”
He suddenly used a strange power to transmit it to Jia Yan.
“Hmm? The Grand Elder is personally contacting .” Over on Jia Yan’s side, he was taken aback.
Aware that he had no interest in joining this fight, let alone aiding these human-like beings.
Despite his general fondness and favoritism towards human-like creatures, it was out of the question at this mont, as engaging would put his life at risk. Would Jia Yan agree to join the battle?
“Mister Jia Yan, I know you have an interest in cultivation techniques. If you help my clan through this difficulty, I’ll allow you access to our Secret Scripture Pavilion, where you can choose any secret book you like.”
Seeing Jia Yan unmoved by the notion of helping his species, the Grand Elder calculated that persuading soone of such strength required significant stakes. Hence, he continued communicating.
“Uh, offering access to their secret books? This…but I really don’t have the strength to defeat the elite fighters.”
Jia Yan was unsure how to respond, as his brainwave power was already unable to emit, leaving him unable to respond properly.
“Mister Jia Yan, what if I give you a secret dicine from our clan? Although you personally might not find it useful, by giving it to soone of your species or a junior you have an eye on, it could quickly help them perceive the ‘Path’, and by understanding it, they can rapidly grow stronger. Wouldn’t this work?”
The Grand Elder’s words appeared very sincere.
However, they caused Jia Yan, who was off to the side, to suddenly pause with surprise.
The Grand Elder actually offered him a secret dicine that could swiftly help one perceive the ‘Path’? He was suddenly very interested in this.
Knowing he wouldn’t give sothing like that to a junior or anyone else, but would reserve it for his own use.
But the only problem was he lacked the strength to participate; joining the fight was akin to courting death.

The undefeated strong one of the monkey tribe sensed the Grand Elder communicating with soone during the battle, thus directing his gaze following the Grand Elder’s direction, and spotted Jia Yan.
