Chapter 1970: Chapter 16: The Terrifying Giant

With a loud explosion, the ape-like creature that had been wreaking havoc for an unknown period of ti was directly blown to pieces and died.

From the start of the battle until now, Jia Yan had been entangled with this ape-like creature for quite a while. Including him, Jia Yan had fought alongside these two brotherly ape-strong ones for at least ten minutes.

“Hehe, well done. Even with restraint, Mister Jia Yan’s power is still so formidable.”

Just as Jia Yan defeated this gorilla-like creature, on the other side, the grand elder who was fighting with the leader of the monkey monster tribe had already noticed the outco of his battle and burst into laughter.

“Oh no, I didn’t want to attract so much attention. Can’t the grand elder pay a little less attention?”

Jia Yan’s heart skipped a beat; he really wasn’t pleased with being so conspicuous.

One must know that the grand elder might think that even though Jia Yan held back just now, his power was nonetheless impressive. But Jia Yan himself knew that if he hadn’t comprehended the power of Tao, he would likely have died facing the two strong ones of the ape tribe.

Of course, Jia Yan also understood that this was the grand elder deliberately spreading word so that the monkey tribe would believe Jia Yan was helping humans, which would, in turn, significantly ease the pressure on other mbers of the Human Race by drawing so high-end powers to focus on Jia Yan.

“Hmph, this guy dares to kill two promising children of my tribe. Ti to die!”

Just as Jia Yan was thinking this, as expected, not far from Jia Yan, a thunderous roar ca crashing in just as he had anticipated.

“Block it for .”

This earth-shaking force left Jia Yan completely stunned. One must understand that the existence at the level of the grand elder was indeed powerful, but they were worlds apart from Jia Yan’s level. If Jia Yan wanted to reach their level, he still had several hurdles to overco.

And now, the attacker coming at him was one of the strong ones considered closer to the level of the grand elder.

“Hmph.”

Jia Yan’s expression shifted, and he suddenly wielded his extraordinary power.

The two sides exploded in battle in mid-air.

“Oh, it seems your strength isn’t bad.”

The creature was amazed that Jia Yan could nullify his direct attack.

However, as surprised as he was, Jia Yan was equally astonished, because, with his actual strength, it would have been hard to block that attack. Yet, at that mont, he managed to fend off the enemy’s strike and even had a hint of counterattack.

“Haha, you underestimate Mister Jia Yan, don’t you? He is capable of being ntioned in the sa breath as us, and you think you can handle Mister Jia Yan? What a joke.”

When the creature was shocked that Jia Yan blocked his attack, feeling extrely astonished, the grand elder’s voice chid in once again.

“Damn it, grand elder, you’re pushing into the fire pit.”

Jia Yan almost exploded with anger. He knew that by saying such words, the grand elder indirectly helped him stand out as an enemy.

After all, his real strength hadn’t reached the degree of the grand elder; if he kept on saying that, then Jia Yan would be targeted by other strong ones.

Unfortunately, in this world, Jia Yan didn’t have such magical power to instantly reach the grand elder, so he couldn’t stop the slander against Jia Yan.

“Hmph, such a terrible enemy, wait, second brother, I’ll help you.”

When the grand elder said Jia Yan’s strength was terrifying, within the abundantly ard monkey species, a competent monkey creature suddenly rushed to the place where Jia Yan was.

“Ugh, the grand elder is really setting up… ”

A flicker of anger passed across Jia Yan’s expression.

Of course, the grand elder always thought Jia Yan’s strength was equal to his, and such a significant sacrifice was made just now, so Jia Yan helping was justified. But his mistake was drawing the enemy toward Jia Yan’s side without asking.

For Jia Yan, this was an unforgivable move.

Originally, he was still thinking that if his comprehension could go a step further, he might help this species in this war. But now it seed impossible for Jia Yan to do that.

“Retreat.”

In an instant, Jia Yan made a decision.

For him, this place generally of Human Race had no ties whatsoever, and with the grand elder’s coldness, he liked it even less. Rather than helping them, he preferred to retreat early.

Fortunately, he could already freely enter subspace, although the ti inside was short, and the ten pills on his body were gradually depleting. When the pill’s effects completely wore off over ti, he’d have to rely on the power of Tao he just comprehended to activate the subspace talent, and he might not even open a passage, let alone fight with the current thod without fearing his power release.

Bam.

When the monkey creature aiding in the battle struck the spot where Jia Yan stood, it was just for a mont before hearing a shout from the stellar-level monkey creature behind him, who had just battled Jia Yan.

His heart jolted.

He quickly retreated backward.

At the sa ti, Jia Yan’s sharp long legs suddenly pierced through his original position.

Wood chips splattered.

It turned out that when attacked earlier, Jia Yan had already hidden in subspace, returning to his familiar combat routine. His combat power suddenly skyrocketed.

Of course, the actual level of increase might be even greater than Jia Yan imagined.

Because he also comprehended “Tao,” even if only temporarily under the pill’s influence, it greatly assisted his strength.

“But his counterattack doesn’t seem that strong; let’s continue.”

Several monkey creatures surrounding him saw Jia Yan, using the strange stealth mode of hiding in subspace, still couldn’t harm the sowhat weaker fellow clansn. They were overjoyed and sward.

One must know that monkey creatures generally bully the weak and fear the strong, even among the powerful ones. Jia Yan’s expression shifted slightly, seeing these monkey creatures rushing madly.

“I’m not scared of you. It just so happens your charge serves as my best training target.”

Jia Yan sneered inwardly, about to strike when…

A group of monkey creatures, unaware that they were close to becoming Jia Yan’s training partners to get stronger, suddenly had a ‘small hand’ appear behind them.

Saying it was a small hand was because it seed delicate as a child’s palm on the outside.

But calling it small would be absolutely wrong.

This small hand was as grand as heaven and earth.

Even if ten Jia Yans stood end to end, they couldn’t compare to the length of a child’s palm like this one.

In other words, this palm was countless tis larger than Jia Yan.

“What is this? Ah?”

“My God, it’s the Giant Tribe!”

“I thought the Giant Tribe wouldn’t co here?”

The forest human species suddenly scread in surprise.

They also saw, beyond the branches where Jia Yan fought, a head as huge as a star was looking down on the combat circle with wide eyes.

And like a child, it slowly extended its tiny hand directly toward the two monkey creatures fighting Jia Yan.

“Ah, Giant, it’s the Giant Tribe, my God.”

Feeling the tiny palm rapidly coming from behind, the monkey creatures about to fight Jia Yan were incredibly terrified, nearly running away in all directions.
