After all, a species will naturally die out if there is no competition or survival pressure.
But the Earth people had suffered too much in the past, so after consulting with the Big Mosquito, the Alliance decided to let the Earth people live a relatively decent life for now.
The days of the future are still long, and competition will have to be reintroduced on Earth eventually.
No one thought that the recruitnt for spaceship pilots would have started a widespread competition and underground contest among the majority of the people on Earth!
