[Subscribe Requested]_2 Jia Yan’s goal was simple; he had set his sights on sothing known in this Desolate Star System – the concept of a “rcenary” in the quota challenge.
A rcenary was also an eye-catching aspect of the Chaos Stone challenge tournants within the Desolate Starfield.
Just like sports such as football and basketball on Earth, the quota challenges here could also involve rcenaries, and this was the most variable factor in the entire tournant.
After all, the strengths of each force were mostly well known to each other.
However, once rcenaries were added to the mix, unpredictability increased significantly, forcing even the most confident powers to buckle down and take each opponent seriously.
This was an effective way to hone the combat power between forces.
“Hmm?…”
As Jia Yan continued to observe the territory of Angel Camp, several Strong Ones approached from a distance.
But they all looked at Jia Yan, whose appearance was completely unfamiliar, exchanged glances, and felt baffled.
“Do you know him?” the Four-eyed Monster asked two Cosmic Level Beings by its side.
“No!” Both of them exclaid in unison.
“I don’t know him either.
So, it seems this is a Strong One with whom we have no relations.
Let’s go over and see what he wants,” the Four-eyed Monster said curiously.
Afterward, they continued to fly towards where Big Mosquito was located.
On Jia Yan’s side, he had already spotted the approaching figures and turned his head to look back.
Now that the monsters were closer, they had a better idea of his type, with first impressions among Strong Ones typically being based on the presence or absence of strength, and they were no exception.
In no ti at all, the three Cosmic Level Beings reached Jia Yan.
It was Jia Yan’s first ti facing three Cosmic Level Beings at such close proximity!
Their imnse and unmatched aura, concentrated and surging towards him, caused Jia Yan’s sense of crisis to suddenly escalate, almost prompting him to consider getting ready for combat.
However, he still controlled himself not to make any move, and just calmly observed the Cosmic Level Beings who were approaching.
The distance between them was even less than a hundred ters!
“Hello, esteed Strong One, may I ask what brings you to our Angel Camp?” the Four-eyed Monster spoke.
Its voice was neither servile nor overbearing, for there was no need to be overly respectful toward Jia Yan, a being of the sa Level as themselves.
“I’ve co here to offer my services unsolicited!” Jia Yan steadied his mind and then responded slowly.
To offer services unsolicited?!
The Four-eyed Monster was stunned.
“Offer your services unsolicited?
Could it be that you wish to establish a rcenary agreent with us for the collection of Chaos Stones?”
The Four-eyed Monster, dumbfounded, exchanged a glance with the other two Cosmic Level colleagues – they could hardly believe their own ears!
“Yes, I would like to establish a rcenary agreent with Angel Camp, it’s just that I wonder if you would want , a Starry Sky Level Expert who has remained unnoticed,” Jia Yan said calmly.
“Um…
Of course, we’ll have to test you first.
Whether we want you or not will depend on your strength,” blurted the Four-eyed Monster, feigning a need for a test to suppress the imdiate desire to agree to the offer of a rcenary from a Starry Sky Level Expert.
“Big brother, have you gone mad?
An aid so hard to co by – and he is Starry Sky Level!
What are you talking about, a test?
If he leaves, where are you going to find another?”
The other two Cosmic Level Beings beca anxious when the Four-eyed Monster ntioned testing the Starry Sky Level one in front of them, almost wanting to agree on his behalf imdiately!
They knew such things were not unprecedented, though rarely encountered within smaller forces vying for collection quotas.
Usually, those willing to be rcenaries are of Sky Level, rely minor players who were still eagerly sought after as reserves by many smaller forces.
As for Starry Sky Level, even though they were not so rare in the Starry Sky, most of them had their own forces.
Even those willing to step out to earn so extra cash would turn to dium or large forces instead.
The chances of a Starry Sky Level being interested in acting as a rcenary for a smaller force were almost non-existent!
Because a rcenary was generally paid based on the number of battles fought and the later stages they helped their principal reach, the larger the sum of money, the better.
Smaller forces rarely progressed far, so how could such rcenaries be involved with them?
Thus for Angel Camp, it wasn’t that they didn’t want a rcenary; it was that even if they offered a fee, no rcenary would be willing to co!
The Four-eyed Monster, faced with such a favorable situation just landing at their door, still ntioned sothing about a test.
The other two Cosmic Level Beings nearly wanted to smack open their senseless leader’s head to check if sothing was rusting inside.
“Alright, tell about your testing thod.
I hope I can satisfy you,” Jia Yan was montarily startled before nodding slightly embarrassedly.
He found it extrely odd.
Wasn’t it said that smaller forces would eagerly accept a Starry Sky Level without any qualifications, desiring their assistance?
Why was there a need for a test?
However, he did not overthink it.
Since a test was required, so be it.
Surely, with his strength, passing should not be an issue.
The Four-eyed Monster was also feeling regretful, having almost let a rcenary slip through.
It had casually ntioned a test, thankfully not driving the prospective rcenary away.
