"Ehehe! You missed!" Javier laughed, playfully dodging Liana’s follow-up swing.
Gloria appeared from behind, aiming a sharp chop at his neck, but he sidestepped and darted away.
Liana vanished, then reappeared beside him, launching a swift downward kick.
Javier twisted aside. "Whoa, Liana! Watch the chair! I’m not responsible if Father asks about the furniture! Ahahaha!"
Iria and Iziya watched in amazent.
"Miss Liana and Miss Gloria are really strong," Iziya whispered to her sister.
"Mm... from what I’ve heard, Gloria serves in the Elite Battle Maid Corps. And Liana is on the sa level. They’ve both completed the Special Room training."
"R... really?" Iziya’s eyes widened.
"Mm. As far as I know, they’re among the very few maids who’ve cleared all ninety-nine levels. Even Head Maid Erisa has. So say their skill surpasses even the Special Maid Corps’ best."
"For real?" Iziya whispered back, voice full of awe.
"Whoa, Gloria! Chill!" Javier easily dodged the side kick and bolted out of the dining room, laughter trailing behind him.
"Young master! Get back here!" Liana and Gloria shouted in unison, storming after him.
"Who in their right mind wants a knuckle sandwich? Besides, you already got your point, Liana! Ahahaha!"
Javier sprinted down the hallway, still laughing. "I saw you both at the door! I was just ssing around!"
"If you didn’t do anything wrong, why are you running!?" Liana and Gloria echoed each other, close on his heels.
"Of course I’m running! You two are chasing !"
"It’s because you did sothing wrong!"
"It was just a joke!"
Javier kept grinning, wiggling his eyebrows as he darted around, laughing freely.
Liana and Gloria kept chasing and spotted Felicia, Mimi, and Delya not far ahead.
"Capture him!! He’s trying to sneak off to et another girl!"
Felicia looked confused, but leapt to intercept. Javier slipped past with a grin. "Too slow~"
Mimi jumped next, trying to hug him mid-run. "I got him, nya!!"
Poof!
She was left hugging a wooden training dummy. "Wha? Nya! That’s cheating!"
Javier glanced back, grinning slyly. "Ehehe... you’re all too early to capture a genius!! Wahahahaha!"
Delya smiled, clapped her hands softly, and activated her phantom clone. Seven Delyas materialized, surrounding him in a loose ring.
"Danna-sama~" they chorused sweetly. "Is what Liana said true? Are you going to et another girl?"
Javier took a casual step forward and gently lifted the original Delya’s chin, his smile turning effortlessly charming. "No... I only have eyes for you."
"Oh, Danna-sama~"
"Delya! He’s tricking you! Grab his legs!"
"Oopsie! Eheheh! You won’t..." Javier’s words cut off as shadowy binds snapped around his ankles, all six phantom clones wrapping around him from every side while his hand remained cupped against Delya’s cheek.
"Ahn~ Danna-sama~ I love you~"
Javier glanced around in a panic.
"Delya! Let go!"
Gloria and the others closed in, panting. While Liana stood perfectly calm, a terrifyingly sweet smile on her face.
"You won’t be able to run now, young master~" she said softly, cracking her knuckles.
Javier grinned...and poof!!!
A puff of smoke burst between them. When it cleared, Delya was left clutching another wooden dummy.
anwhile, Javier was already sprinting down the hallway again.
"Bwahahaha! There’s no way you can catch a genius! Maybe in another hundred...ooff!!"
He crashed straight into soone solid and stumbled backward, landing hard on the floor. His head spun.
Who the hell blocked the...
He glanced up and swallowed hard.
"A... ah... Esteed Father!" Javier scrambled to his feet, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.
"Playing catch with your future wives this early in the morning?" Garius exhaled, his gaze steady as it settled on Javier’s flushed face.
"Ehehe... sort of." Javier smiled sheepishly, noticing his mother sighing softly nearby, while Alf and Erinnette stood at their usual calm, serious attention.
"Javier?"
"Yes, esteed Father?" Javier glanced at Garius before his eyes darted away again.
Damn! He still has those scary eyes. And not to ntion I feel his aura even scarier now. Is this the true power of Soul of Command?
Every ti I et him, I can’t even talk properly. Not to ntion my whole body shivers on instinct. Even after becoming this strong, my nerves react instantly. Every damn ti...
"Your mother tells you wish to assist with the paperwork starting tomorrow. For two days. Is that true?" Garius’s gaze held Javier’s as he spoke.
"Ah... yes, esteed Father. I am."
Garius rubbed his chin, studying Javier again. "Hmm... are you certain?"
"Yes, esteed Father. It will help learn more about the work... and prepare for the future."
"Very well. Alf will brief you on what to expect tomorrow. In the anti... try not to be so loud. You are a prince now." Garius shook his head, exhaling quietly.
"Yes, esteed Father."
Javier stood straight, watching Garius walk away. Alf remained nearby, unmoving.
Hehehe... saved. With Alf here, Liana won’t dare hit ... kekeke.
"Prince Javier." Alf’s voice was polite but firm.
"Yes, Alf?"
"Let us proceed to the main throne hall."
"Eh? Not Father’s private study?"
"There is sothing you must attend to first. I will brief you on the way."
Alf glanced toward Liana and Gloria.
Both stood straight, placed their palms over their left chests, and bowed.
"Gloria."
"Yes, Sir Alf?" Gloria replied.
"Please escort the princesses to the main dining room so they may have their breakfast." He shifted his gaze to Liana.
"And Liana..."
"Yes, Sir Alf?" She kept her palm over her chest.
"You will accompany Prince Javier from this point onward. Attend him."
"As you command, Sir Alf." Liana bowed again, a faint smirk hidden beneath her composure.
"Good. Now, if you please, Prince Javier?" Alf gestured for him to lead the way.
"Alright, Alf." Javier smiled weakly, glancing over his shoulder to see Liana following gracefully behind him, wearing that sa terrifyingly sweet smile.
Crap... Now I’m dood.
While walking, Alf briefed Javier.
"Tomorrow, I will not be able to assist you directly, Prince Javier. However, I will assign a capable aide to guide you through the day’s agenda. You will find the priority docunts stacked on the left side of His Majesty’s desk."
He continued without breaking stride.
"Regional budget approvals, infrastructure reports, and trade ledgers from our allies. The right side holds less urgent matters: petitions, minor judicial reviews, and personnel updates. Focus on the left stack first. Initial where required, note any discrepancies on the margin parchnt, and set aside anything that requires His Majesty’s personal seal."
Javier nodded along, but his mind was already drifting.
Why is Alf having go to the main throne hall now? Tomorrow’s work is in Father’s private office, not the throne room...
Ah... I’m getting that feeling again...
Sothing that’s going to be a pain in the ass.
