After the transport drone was cleared by the puppet knights, Liana spoke up.
"Young master?"
"Hmm? Yes, Liana?"
"You call everything that flies a drone, transport drone, battle drone. What about this thing?"
"Hmm... this is a transport drone too."
"But your Sky Eyes you call Sky Eyes. Not Sky Drone."
"Ah... now that you ntion it. Yeah... I guess I’m bad at naming things." Javier rubbed the back of his head with a sheepish grin.
"So, do you need our help to na this huge thing?" Gloria smiled while adjusting her glasses. "Since I have an idea for it~"
Liana smirked. "I also have one, young master~"
"... too, nya!" Mimi chid in, grinning, her tail swaying excitedly. "Chopy!"
Felicia facepald. "Mimi..."
"Nya!? What? That’s a good na, nya!"
"Ugh! Nope... no need to na it. It’s not a Pekko to na. Besides, this thing is called the Ground and Air Special Attack Drone."
"Uwaa~ So la." Gloria snickered.
While Liana just let out a soft laugh behind her palm.
Delya looked up at Javier. "It’s too long."
Felicia simply smiled.
"Ugh! It’s a class type... not a na. It’s not like Buddy or Pikko or Peanut that we need to na."
"Yes~ Buddy~ See, young master... the na~"
"Ugh! But Buddy likes it, right, Buddy?"
"Cuquawked!" Buddy puffed out his chest.
"Besides, if I want to na it, it’s better to use a code for it. Like GAASAD-1 for Ground and Air Special Attack Drone, or sothing like that."
Liana narrowed her eyes with a sly smile.
Gloria adjusted her glasses with a sly chuckle.
Felicia just sighed.
Mimi tilted her head.
Delya exhaled softly.
"What? It’s better to shorten it, right? Like Special Attack Knight Force to SAKF." Javier looked genuinely confused.
"He really has no taste in naming..."
"No wonder his orange Pekko is nad Buddy."
"O... oi! That’s rude, Liana! Gloria! Buddy loves his na!"
"Cuquawked!!"
Javier exhaled as they continued whispering among themselves. "Whatever..."
He climb up moved to the pilot seat, pressed a sequence of glowing runes on the control panel, and the drone humd to life.
A low, resonant whirring filled the air as internal mana conduits lit up, casting a soft blue glow across the cockpit. The rear loading ramp lowered smoothly, revealing a spacious cargo bay large enough to accommodate all five Pekko comfortably. Overhead, stabilizer lights flickered on, illuminating the interior with a clean, even light.
"Alright, everyone inside. Buddy, you first. Show the others it’s safe."
"Cuquawked!" Buddy trotted confidently up the ramp, followed by the other Pekko, their talons clicking softly against the reinforced mithril alloy floor.
The main engines spun up with a rising turbine-like whine, and the craft lifted gently, hovering inches above the ground. Stabilizer fins extended from the sides, and the forward viewport shimred as the True Sight enchantnt activated, overlaying the world outside with faint, glowing outlines of magical signatures and thermal heat.
After they all headed inside, Liana took the co-pilot seat beside Javier, while Gloria, Felicia, Mimi, and Delya settled into the passenger seats behind them. Plush, ergonomic chairs secured to the deck, each with a small viewport beside it.
"Alright! We’re off! Who wants music?" Javier grinned, wiggling his eyebrows as he tapped a glowing rune on the console.
Gentle, flowing elven wedding music filled the cabin, clear and rich as if the perforrs were right there with them.
"Hmm? Young master, isn’t this from your father’s ceremony?"
"Yep. I recorded it onto a mory crystal and slotted it in here." He gestured toward a small, recessed port on the dashboard where a faintly glowing crystal was inserted.
"Oh... this is lovely. Can it record voices too?"
"Hmm? Of course. You know why Armand recently ford a broadcasting unit? They’re testing these crystals now. When the public audio network launches soon, people will be able to listen to music, news, stories, all through tuned mana receivers."
Liana nodded, tapping her chin thoughtfully.
"This switch is for autopilot. Once we’re airborne, we set coordinates via Sky Eyes or the mana satellite network. The drone will fly itself along the safest route, adjusting for weather, magic interference, and air traffic."
He tapped another rune, and a holographic map shimred above the console, showing their position above the estate and a glowing line tracing their path to the Naval Base.
"Now! Off we go! Ehehehehe! Estimated arrival at the Armand Naval Base... in 8 minutes."
"That fast?" Gloria asked.
"Yes." Javier rubbed his palms together, tilting his head down with a grin.
"Faster than Pekko... why not use this as the main transport?" Mimi tilted her head, tail swaying.
"Huh? No way! Pekko are superb! Besides, there’s no way I’m going to replace all the Pekko. Ehehehe~ Right, Buddy!?"
"Cuquawked!" Buddy squawked and moved closer, resting his big head against Javier’s.
"Hehehe... see!? They’re the fastest ones. The reason this flying thing is faster is because it can fly straight through the air. No roads, no hills, no rivers to go around. It just goes from point A to point B in a straight line."
"But on the ground... these Pekko here are faster than a shinkansen!"
"Shin... kan... sen?" Liana tilted her head.
"Ah... never mind... ehehehe..."
"Really? You’ve always said weird things like that since you were a boy, young master." Liana remarked.
"Ah... more like just ideas. Oh, by the way, Felicia, Mimi, Delya?"
"Yes?"
"The public radio network will also be available to your nations. Father wants each allied kingdom to have its own news, broadcasts, and cultural programming. We’ll help set up the relay towers and provide the basic equipnt."
"Nya! Really!?"
Felicia nodded. "Thank you, husband~"
"Ah~ Danna-sama... thank you for thinking of our nation too."
"Heh... well... you all are my wives."
Liana stared at Javier. "What about the Elven Nation?"
"Huh? Of course the Elves got it first. You forgot Queen Mylezra is Father’s fifth wife? She approved it during the wedding talks. The Elven relay tower is already under construction near their capital."
