Javier glanced around. The other pekkos were preening their feathers nearby, while Buddy was focused on preening his own feathers right next to him.
He chuckled softly, looking up at Buddy, who was completely absorbed in his grooming.
Heh... just like a chicken, but bigger than an ostrich. Fantasy world is the best.
"Buddy..." Javier called, a playful smirk on his face.
"Cuquawked?" Buddy paused his preening and glanced down at Javier.
"Don’t you dare flick any of those ’feather mites’ or whatever that is on ," Javier teased.
"Cuquawked!!!" Buddy stared at him for a mont, then with a mischievous glint in his large eye, he used one of his huge talons to casually push a small pile of loose dirt toward Javier.
"O... oi!" Javier laughed, jumping up from where he was leaning just in ti to avoid the cloud of dust and pebbles that scattered where he’d been sitting.
He looked at Buddy and smiled.
"Buddy."
"Cuquawked?" Buddy glanced at him.
"I’m going to my workshop now," Javier said, slipping one hand into his pocket while raising the other in a casual wave over his shoulder as he turned and walked toward the small, sturdy building.
"Cuquawked!" Buddy squawked once in acknowledgnt, watching him for a mont before returning to preening his feathers as Javier reached the main door.
Javier placed his hand on the glowing rune lock and channeled a pulse of his mana. The door slid open with a soft hiss, and he stepped inside, leaving it slightly ajar for Liana and the others to enter later.
Once inside, he stopped by the main crafting table.
He snapped his fingers and opened his dinsional storage, carefully taking out an ornate wooden box filled with various gems, crystals, and unique materials. He then retrieved another small box containing refined adamantite, gold ore, and mithril ore, placing both on the table.
He pulled the chair closer and sat down slowly, his gaze thoughtful.
Hmm... I wonder what type of gem or crystal I should use for each of them?
He sifted through the gems, picking out several choices before smiling softly.
Mm... for Liana... I believe this one is perfect. Since she is graceful, composed, responsible, subtly possessive.
