Chapter 576: Grace in Waiting ( 576 )

Inside the Armand Estate.

Liana humd softly, a rare gentle lody that brought calm to the quiet dressing room. Sunlight stread through the windows, illuminating the polished floor and the open trunk before her—neatly folded enchanted maid uniforms, all crafted and personally enhanced by her young master, Javier. His mana signature lingered faintly in every fiber.

She carefully lifted one uniform, her fingers caressing the fine stitching at the collar where his initials were subtly sewn. Her eyes softened.

Today… at last… she could go to him.

Her gaze shifted to the white ore magic bow resting on the wall rack nearby. It glead faintly, humming with dormant power—one of Javier’s proudest creations. She reached for it, then paused to check her side pouch.

She only packed what mattered: three maid uniforms, a few undergarnts—simple, light, enchanted for flexibility—a small silk pouch with essentials, and her personal silver comb.

With practiced ease, she strapped a new enchanted dagger against her thigh, hidden beneath her skirt. The dual white ore blades were secured to her waist, and finally, she slung her bow across her back.

Fully ard. Fully prepared. Yet she smiled softly—more like a maiden ready for reunion than a warrior heading into battle.

This wasn’t just any day.

After three long months in the Level 99 Special Training Zone—and completing two additional Special Levels—they had earned this mont. Their aura was stable. Their strength had multiplied. They were no longer just personal maids.

They were guardians now.

“Gloria must be finishing her preparations too,” she murmured.

Her humming resud as she took one last look in the mirror. Pale skin, long silver hair tied neatly back, erald eyes focused and clear. She brushed a lock behind her ear and smiled again—calm, elegant, and unmistakably radiant.

Her fingers brushed the Armand crest on her collar.

“Wait for , young master. I’ll be at your side again soon… and this ti, no girl will steal your gaze.”

Not Mimi.

Not Delya.

And certainly not Felicia.

With that, she stepped out, ready to et Gloria.

anwhile, in the next room—

Gloria was practically glowing with excitent.

She twirled once in front of her full-length mirror, letting her dark hair cascade perfectly behind her shoulders as she admired the maid uniforms neatly spread across her bed.

“Ara~ All so beautiful… Which one should I bring?” she mused with a playful tilt of her head, tapping her chin with a finger.

Her big bag—no, her enormous bag—lay open on the floor, already stuffed with accessories, slippers, nightgowns, and three spare aprons embroidered with lace. She hadn’t yet decided which of the five uniforms to fold into it.

She carefully reached for her dual white ore blades and secured them across her back. Unlike Liana’s, hers had a curved, elegant design—deadly, yet graceful. She clipped a small, ribbon-trimd waist pouch at her hip—disguised as cute and maidlike, but inside carried mana bombs, smoke beads, and a concealed flint trigger. Just in case.

Then, she reached for her last hidden blade—discreetly nestled in her thigh garter.

Knock, knock.

“Co in~” she called cheerfully, already guessing who it was.

Sure enough, Liana stepped inside, fully geared and graceful as ever—with her white ore bow slung elegantly over her back. She gave the room a quick glance, then narrowed her eyes at the enormous travel bag sitting like an overstuffed beast on the floor.

“Gloria…” Liana sighed, pinching her brow. “You don’t need such a big bag…”

Gloria giggled softly. “Ara~ I just couldn’t choose. Look at them! Frilled collar? Ribbon tie? Or the one with silver threading? How can I leave them behind?”

“You only need three.”

“But what if he says I look best in the fourth one? Or the fifth?”

Liana folded her arms, her expression stern—but a flicker of amusent played in her eyes. “You’re unbelievable.”

“And yet, you love for it,” Gloria winked, holding up a particularly daring maid dress. “Maybe I’ll save this one for our reunion night with the young master~”

Liana’s face twitched.

“Gloria.”

“Yes?”

“Leave the fourth one.”

“Ehh~… Fine,” Gloria pouted, but reluctantly slipped the bold dress back onto the bed.

Together, the two maids—both elegant, both deadly, both hopelessly devoted—gathered their things, ready to depart.

Gloria let out a quiet sigh and repacked everything into a much smaller bag—though she still hesitated over which accessories to leave behind. Liana stood by the door, arms crossed, watching her with her usual calm, long-suffering patience as Gloria fussed over her belongings.

Finally ready, both maids stepped out of their rooms. Their footsteps were light, graceful, and perfectly synchronized as they moved through the polished halls of the Armand estate.

“Liana. Gloria,”

Suddenly, both froze mid-step.

In front of the open entrance to the maid dining room stood Mrs. Erinnette—arms crossed, posture impeccable, her stern expression carved into stone. Her sharp eyes flicked briefly to their bags, then narrowed.

“Breakfast first,” she said firmly, leaving no room for debate.

Both maids imdiately straightened and responded in unison, “Yes, Mrs. Erinnette.”

Her gaze didn’t soften. “Don’t even think about leaving without eating first.”

“Y-Yes, Mrs. Erinnette!!”

Their voices echoed with obedient resolve as they bowed respectfully—one hand over their left chest—and hurried to their seats.

No matter how eager they were to reunite with their beloved young master, no one—not even Liana and Gloria—dared to challenge the head of all maids.

Liana and Gloria quietly approached the long wooden table lined with dishes prepared by the kitchen staff—stead vegetables, freshly baked bread, grilled at slices, boiled eggs, and fruit preserves. Everything was neatly arranged and still warm.

With practiced grace, each selected their portions—Liana, ever disciplined, choosing lightly, while Gloria, ever elegant, couldn’t resist adding an extra slice of at.

They sat in quiet at the maid dining area. No words were spoken, only the soft clink of silverware and the faint hum of other maids nearby, each respectful of their silence. Everyone knew these weren’t just any maids—they were his.

Liana gently wiped her lips with a napkin.

“Today,” she said softly.

Gloria gave a small, reassuring smile. “Mm. We’ll see him again.”

Their eyes t—calm, determined, and filled with quiet anticipation.
