While they ate, Liana glanced at the group of captured soldiers in the distance, huddled together, quietly munching on their food.
She turned to Javier.
"Young master?"
"Hmm?" Javier replied mid-chew. "Yeah, Liana?"
She pointed subtly toward the prisoners.
"What are you planning to do with them?"
Javier shrugged, leaning back and sipping from a flask of purified water.
"Dunno. All I care about is that they’re caught. I’ll just hand them over to the Lord of Armand."
Gloria raised an eyebrow.
"You an... your father."
"Ah. Yes. Him," Javier said with a crooked grin. "Scary guy."
"You’re strong, right, young master~?" Gloria teased, a glint in her eye.
"Huh?" Javier blinked. "Well... you could say that."
"Then do you think you could fight him? Maybe win?"
Javier’s expression froze.
"NO WAY," he said flatly, shaking his head. "Even if I combined my power with my brothers—Marcellus and Cedric—I’m still not fighting him. That man’s terrifying."
He gestured with his at skewer.
"You two already know how many tis he’s casually dropped a ’why don’t we train together soti?’ And every ti—every ti—Cedric disappears, and Marcellus suddenly rembers he left his paperwork."
Gloria giggled.
"True~ He does that every ti."
He bit down on the at again, then added quietly,
"Besides... as soone born in Japan, we don’t fight our parents."
Liana tilted her head.
"Ja...pan...ease?"
Gloria frowned.
"Is that a kingdom sowhere?"
Javier blinked, then smirked.
"Ah, nothing. Just an old saying from a land far, far away."
He stuffed the last bite of at in his mouth.
"Let’s eat."
Inside Javier’s mind.
I don’t even know how strong Father really is... And that’s what scares .
He rembered it vividly.
That fleeting mont when Garius’s right eye glowed. Just for a second. Javier didn’t understand what it was, but sothing about it felt wrong. Not dangerous... but absolute. Like being seen through, down to his soul.
He didn’t know what it was. But his gut told him it wasn’t sothing you could just train to achieve. No—whatever it was, it terrified him more than any cursed monster or corrupted celestial.
And then there was that ti.
When he transferred all the celestial information into his mind...
He touched my forehead with just two fingers...
Javier touched his own forehead, the mory still fresh. Garius hadn’t chanted. He hadn’t used any fancy spell. Just two fingers. A simple tap on Javier’s forehead, and suddenly, an overwhelming torrent of knowledge, visions, and classified data about the Celestials flooded into his mind.
The entire mory package transferred instantly, without scrolls, spells, or a single word.
It wasn’t just magic. It was sothing far deeper.
And it wasn’t just power. No, that wasn’t what made his father terrifying.
It was how he planned everything.
Everything Garius did... was always exact. No wasted movents.
He plans things as if they’ve already happened. No doubts. No hesitations. Every step smooth... clean... perfect.
Javier clenched his fist slightly, watching the crackling fire from the roasting pit.
Even if I brought out every puppet knight I’ve ever created, not just one squad, but the entire legion, what would he use to fight back? I honestly don’t know.
What magic? What weapon? What skill would soone like that even need to lift a hand?
He closed his eyes briefly.
According to the information his father had given him, through that two finger forehead mont, Garius had once sealed the very first Celestial. A raw, unbound divine chaos. Back then, sealing even one required an army.
And yet, he did it alone.
That’s the knowledge passed to Javier. The very foundation that helped him defeat Gumarak, the dwarven king who’d nearly been consud by the Fourth Celestial.
And using that knowledge... Javier had improved the thod.
He didn’t use the sa seal as Garius. He created his own, the White Seal Cube. Stronger, more efficient, devastatingly precise.
But even so...
Even if I surpass him in so ways... even if I keep improving...
There’s no way I’m fighting that man. No way.
He bit into his at again.
Scary as hell.
Javier let out a long sigh.
Liana imdiately noticed and turned to him, concern etched on her face.
"Young master?"
Gloria, sitting beside him, already wore that familiar worried expression.
"Is sothing wrong?"
Javier stabbed his fork into the juicy slab of roasted at and muttered,
"Nothing... it’s just... when you two ntioned fighting my father..."
He paused, a visible shiver running through his body.
"...I felt my spine freeze. Ugh. That’s not a fight, it’s suicide."
Liana chuckled softly, covering her mouth gracefully. Gloria let out a quiet, amused giggle.
Shaking his head, Javier went back to eating, his eyes drifting toward their three Pekko, Buddy, Pikko, and Peanut, who were now comfortably settled nearby, fluffing their feathers and enjoying a peaceful rest.
Javier glanced up at the darkening sky, hues of amber fading into deep blue as night approached.
"Looks like we’ll need to camp here tonight,"
Javier said aloud, turning toward the group of captured soldiers. His voice was firm, leaving no room for argunt.
"All of you, sleep inside the wagons tonight. Or risk becoming dinner for a corrupted monster."
At his warning, every prisoner nodded quickly, not daring to protest.
Satisfied, Javier leaned back slightly, letting himself relax just a bit as the comforting crackle of the fire filled the surrounding silence.
After finishing his al, Javier began configuring the periter defenses. The transport wagons lined up neatly, forming a defensive arc around the resting soldiers.
The 30 White Ore Special Operation Units, all ard with mana rifles, returned silently from the forest sweep. Their white armor glinted softly in the twilight as they took their designated positions among the others. Their movents were precise, no wasted motion, no noise.
Above, the purification drones had finished planting their devices. A subtle signal pinged back to his interface, job complete.
The remaining 70 Special Operation Units joined the white ore division, forming a silent periter around the camp, a full 360-degree defense net, locked down and ready.
High above, the battle drones hovered, their engines barely audible. Each one scanned all directions, their dual mana gatling guns and missile pods faintly glowing in standby mode.
Javier surveyed everything once more, analyzing angles, spacing, cover points, and fallback zones. Everything was perfect.
He glanced over to Liana and Gloria, who had climbed into the special wagon crafted just for the three of them. It was reinforced, insulated, embedded with barrier enchantnts, comfort and safety combined.
They smiled at him from atop the wagon. Liana gave a small wave; Gloria adjusted her glasses, her eyes reflecting the campfire below.
Then, Javier raised his right palm toward the sky.
"[White Light: Activate – Purification]," he commanded softly.
In an instant, a radiant white aura burst forth from the planted devices, engulfing the entire region for miles. The shimring light moved like waves of water, humming gently as it swept across the land.
The air shifted, cleaner, calr.
The twisted scent of miasma evaporated into nothing.
Trees no longer groaned under unnatural pressure. The ground no longer pulsed with corrupted mana.
Everything... was pure again.
Gloria watched the glow from above.
"Beautiful..."
Liana smiled.
"He really purified an entire battlefield before bedti."
Javier turned with a cocky smirk.
"What? You thought I’d let monsters ruin our dinner and sleep?"
"Of course not, young master," Gloria replied calmly.
"Never doubted you for a second," Liana added.
Javier lowered his hand, the white glow slowly fading into soft particles.
"Alright," he said with a satisfied grin. "Now it ti to rest."
