The man and woman of this household are known to Guangzi.
The man is a ferryman, who usually transports passengers by boat, but ever since the unrest around the Han River, he has just relied on fishing for a living.
Before heading to Shui City, the man had complained to Guangzi that the livelihood in Yuliao Town is becoming increasingly difficult. He wanted to save so money and take his family to move elsewhere.
As for the woman, she is kind-hearted, always staying at ho to take care of the children, and would never abandon them.
Guangzi had an ominous feeling as he entered the house. Upon entering, he was greeted by a strange sll.
Going further inside, the woman lay on the bed, her body already cold, with corpse spots already forming, evidently dead for several days.
"Dead?" Ye Lingyue and the others also walked in, and upon witnessing this scene, they couldn’t help but feel astonished.
Senior Sister Wan Yun and Huang Jun led a few young children outside.
The young children, unaware of what had happened, thought their mother was just asleep.
"Let take a look."
Just as Ye Lingyue was about to step forward to investigate, she saw Guangzi skillfully lift the woman’s eyelids, check her pulse, and examine the corpse.
Guangzi’s face no longer showed his usual playful expression but was filled with seriousness.
"She’s been dead for about three days, but the exact cause requires further examination."
After Guangzi spoke, he suddenly felt the room grow silent. Looking up, he saw everyone staring at him with strange looks.

Guangzi stuck his tongue out. Seeing the patient triggered his occupational habits, yet he had roughly investigated the woman’s body earlier, finding no obvious illness.

It wasn’t due to illness or starvation, so what was the cause of death?
Though well-inford, the people in the room found themselves clueless.
"I asked the neighbors nearby, the man of this house went fishing ten days ago and mysteriously died afterward. People in the town say the family is cursed. Due to this, the woman faced discrimination, and the town officials refused to sell them any food supplies. She kept the children and herself locked inside the house and hadn’t ventured out."
Di Shen walked in from outside, bringing back troubling news.

Guangzi was taken aback.
"Guangzi, is there sothing you know, hurry and tell us."
Before heading to Shui City, Guangzi passed through Yuliao Town.
Before leaving Yuliao Town, the man of this house had complained to him, saying that earlier, many boats encountered Water Ghosts in the Han River.
Those fishern who encountered Water Ghosts were terrified and inexplicably died after returning to town.
The town’s doctors couldn’t determine the cause of death, and as ti passed, Yuliao Town grew anxious, with out-of-town boats and visitors no longer daring to sail on the Han River.

Qin Xiaochuan noticed Guangzi’s "fearful expression," and puffed his chest arrogantly, implying he’d handle everything.
"Senior Brother Zhou, aren’t you afraid of water and getting seasick? Are you sure you want to go to the Han River area?"
Huang Jun ntioned the worst case right at the side.
"Shut up, who said I’m afraid of water?" Qin Xiaochuan muttered.
"Stop ssing around, tomorrow morning we should go find the Mayor here and hopefully clarify what’s truly going on with these Water Ghost rumors."
Ye Lingyue looked at the three young unaware children, then at the woman who had been dead for days, feeling deep regret.
That night, the group stayed at the rural house.
However, since the house only had three rooms, they had to separate by gender.
Ye Lingyue, Senior Sister Wan Yun, and Guangzi shared one room.
Di Shen, Huang Jun, Qin Xiaochuan, and so mbers from a traveling troupe squeezed into another room.
Upon hearing of this arrangent, Guangzi smiled widely.
It’s truly a blessing, giving him the chance to spend ti with his sister, and he’s got so much he wants to share with her.
Yet, just as he entered the room, Di Shen tossed three little children in.
"These three little ones will sleep with you tonight, as that room with the corpse is unsuitable for staying."
The three children cheered, pulling Guangzi by the arms, legs, and neck, surrounding him entirely.
"Sister Guangzi, we want to ride a horse!"
"Sister Guangzi, sing us a song!"
"Sister Guangzi, tell us a story!"
Not only did Guangzi lose the chance for his heartfelt conversation with Ye Lingyue, but he didn’t even have a mont to speak. After being active until late at night, this guy, with dark circles under his eyes, could no longer endure and fell asleep with the three little ones on the bed.
Ye Lingyue and Senior Sister Wan Yun returned to the room, witnessing the scene.
The three little ones were sleeping on Guangzi’s belly, while Guangzi lay inelegantly like a starfish, snoring loudly.
"This Miss Guangzi is indeed quite the peculiar person."
Senior Sister Wan Yun smirked at the sight.
"An endearing girl."
Ye Lingyue smiled as well, then tucked Guangzi in, her mouth showing a tender smile.
"Miss Guangzi is a lot like you." Senior Sister Wan Yun suddenly said.
"A lot alike?"
Ye Lingyue’s heart fluttered with increased pace, involuntarily glancing at Guangzi.
