"What is going on here?" So of the onlookers had no idea what was going on. They turned to look at Han Yong and Han Yichen before one of them asked in a loud voice, "Ruochen, what did you do? Why did your mother douse you in dog blood?"
The voice belonged to Widow Wang, who was clearly taking quite a pleasure in seeing Han Ruochen in such a condition. Han Ruochen sucked in a breath and did not waste her breath on Widow Wang. Who was she to lose her temper with Widow Wang when the problem lay with her mother? She was the one who gave the villagers a chance to mock her.
She swallowed the pill of humiliation that her mother had given and said in a loud yet clear voice, "It’s nothing, Aunt Wang. I caught a golden moray this morning and was lucky enough to sell it well and buy a fishing boat. Her attention then turned to Han Ziyan, who stiffened and took a step back. She looked like a pitiful little thing, but Old Madam Han was not fooled. She pointedly asked, "You think you are very lucky?" Her voice was low and dangerous as she questioned Han Ziyan. "You, who have everything all thanks to the Han family, think that she was born lucky?"
"Of course, she is quite lucky when it cos to stealing," a neighbour laughed mockingly. "Han Yichen, I have told you many tis that you should be careful with this girl around. Look at this, she first stole her sister’s fiancé, and now she even humiliated your biological daughter. On your Han family turf, she is acting like she is the one who has the reins. You’d better control this mother and daughter pair, or else they will ruin you and your children."
Han Ruochen pursed her lips. She knew that the neighbour was only joking, but the truth was that she had no idea how correct she was. Because her father did not take the reins of ng Yunhan and Han Ziyan in ti, the two of them grew more and more troubleso. She thought she could take on Han Yichen’s scoldings as long as Han Ziyan received her luck back, but now she did not think it was going to happen!
"She is right," said Old Madam Han as she looked at the woman who had curled herself in a ball of dirt. "You can no longer act like you used to in the past, Yichen. Look at this; this woman has created such a ss because of the current attitude you have. She dared to call an old witch in the house and even butchered a dog! Han Yichen, I am telling you, either you divorce her or get her to straighten up her act. If this goes on, she will ruin all of my grandchildren!"
Old Grandma Han wished she could divorce this woman on account of her son at that mont.
