Han Ziyan’s face turned pale. She turned to look at Han Ruochen and glared at her furtively. "It seems like you have so misunderstanding toward , young master."
"I don’t think so. Taking a look at your clothes, which are better than Xiao Ruochen’s, I can tell in just one swift look that you are the adopted daughter who is treated even better than the biological ones. What kind of misunderstanding might there be?" Zhai Heng had seen all kinds of people in his life. Especially when he was ssing around in the county, there were many won who wanted to follow him.
Han Ziyan had the sa look in her eyes as those won who wanted to trap him and have him marry them. This look alone made Zhai Heng so furious that he wanted to fight to death with Han Ziyan.
Han Ziyan was so angry that she was having trouble breathing. She wanted to correct Zhai Heng but realised that there was no point; this man had been with Han Ruochen for who knows how long. He would definitely listen to Han Ruochen if that bitch had badmouthed her in front of this young master. She could only try to show her good points in front of this man and make him realise that she was much better than Han Ruochen. Only then would this man be able to realise that he had been following the wrong person all along!
She sucked in a breath and smiled through her anger before saying to Zhai Heng, "It’s not like that at all. My sister also bought new clothes yesterday and did not wear them because she was coming to the docks. I don’t know who told you that she has no new clothes to wear. Anyway, I did not co here to quarrel with you, young master. I am just trying to stop my sister from doing sothing wrong."
"What do you an by sothing wrong? Just because sothing has never been done before, do you an to say that it cannot be done now? Even the national leaders of our country insist that won alone can lift the sky if they want. Do you an to say that they are in the wrong now?"
Zhai Heng sneered. He knew that this woman was here to cause trouble. She kept insisting that she was not trying to do anuythin bad but at the sa ti, she was bent on going against Han Ruochen. This alone was enough to make Zhai Heng hate her.
Han Ruochen felt her lips twitch. She knew that Zhai Heng was sharp-tongued; she never thought that he was this skilled in making soone angry. Looking at Han Ziyan’s speechless appearance, Han Ruochen was quite amused. Han Ruochen was correct; Han Ziyan was so angry that she wanted to faint at that very mont but she couldn’t because she was unwilling! "A respectful job?" Zhai Heng turned to look at Han Ziyan. The crowd around them had long turned silent. Even Widow Wang had turned quiet; her gaze drifted between Han Ziyan and Zhai Heng. No one dared to breathe loudly, as if there was sothing wrong that was about to happen.
"That’s right. I work at the army canteen; I earn a decent salary of thirty yuan a month. Is it not enough? My sister, on the other hand, is wasting her ti on doing sothing that is out of the norm; as a woman, is that even okay?"
Han Ziyan announced quite proudly. She even looked at the people of the village and felt satisfied when they looked at her with an admiration-filled gaze; this was right. This was how it was supposed to be. They were supposed to be looking at her with those gazes and not at Han Ruochen. Who was she? She was just a filthy fisherwoman who had no future. So what if she bought a motorboat? In the end, she would never have the chance of becoming an official wife. Unlike her, whose options were still open.
