"You!" ng Yunhan was furious. She just said a few things; why did her husband retort with so many ugly words? What would her children think? Would they even respect her after this? If anything, they would start riding on her face like she was soone they could disrespect at the drop of their hats!
"What, you?" Han Yichen rarely lost his temper. He wanted to create a peaceful atmosphere for his children to grow up, but who asked ng Yunhan to be such a shit stirrer? If she was not scolded for an hour, she would start causing trouble. "Jianyou ca back ho after such a long ti; instead of asking him if he is eating properly or whether or not he is getting bullied, you are taunting him. Is this how a mother should behave?"
He felt quite upset.
No wonder Han Jianyou used to run away and stay at his friend’s ho instead of staying at his own. Who would want to stay with a mother who only knew how to make scathing remarks? Even he was getting tired of her; if not for the fact that he had to keep an eye on ng Yunhan, he would have stayed at the pig farm as well. Staying at ho and facing ng Yunhan was really tiring.
ng Yunhan’s face turned red after she was scolded, but she did not think that there was anything wrong with what she said; she stiffly said, "Did I say anything wrong? I simply asked him to greet his mother when he returns ho. What is wrong with that? And why should I waste my ti asking about useless things like that? Looking at how fat he has gotten, he must be eating well. As for getting bullied?" She curled her lips and spoke in a disdainful voice, "Do you not know what kind of person your son is? The kind of friends he keeps? I will be surprised if he was bullied by soone. If anything, he must be doing the one bullying."
She took a sip of water and then continued, "If anything, you should be asking about his grades. The last ti he ranked last in his class. That kind of result, I was too ashad to even go to the parent-teacher conference. What kind of grades did he get this sester? I am afraid to even think about them. He must have failed!"
"To think about that he is going to sit in the college entrance exams in a few months... just the thought alone is enough to make feel embarrassed."
ng Yunhan felt like she had finally found the outlet to release her anger. These past few days, she had been suffering under Han Ruochen and Han Yichen consecutively. She could not say a word to them. If she dared to say a thing, then she would be retorted to by countless words. The more she thought about it, the angrier she beca.
Why was it that she had to listen to so much nonsense?
She was the matriarch of this family!
Now that she had finally found an outlet to get her anger out, how could she not use it?
Han Ruochen took a bite of the lobster at and then raised her head. She blinked her eyes and stated, "Well, I am also curious about Jianyou’s grades. He told that he had perford better than he did last ti, so how was it? Did you improve?"
When Han Jianyou heard the words of his mother, he was a bit deflated. He had indeed made so mistakes, but there was no need for his mother to say such ugly words. It was only when he heard Han Ruochen speaking up for him that he recovered so of his confidence. He raised his head and looked in the direction of his father before saying, "Dad, don’t worry. I ca tenth in my grade this ti and sixth in my class... I perford well."
Han Jianyou worked hard after Han Ruochen threatened him. She had clearly told him that if he did not improve, then she would send him to the sea to catch seafood. He did not even know how to differentiate between shrimps and crayfish. He only knew how to eat them. How could he catch seafood? And Han Jianyou knew that Han Ruochen was not throwing casual threats; if he did not perform well, then she would definitely drag him to the sea.
So how could he not work hard?
As soon as he announced his results, there seed to be an explosion in the dining room. Han Yichen was filled with glee. His face was filled with smiles as he nodded before saying, "Good, good, good!" he patted Han Jianyou on the shoulder and said to him, "You did a good job; keep working hard like this. I am sure that sooner or later you will be at the top of your grade."
Han Yichen was really proud. While it was true that his three older children had wasted their youth, they were quite skilled when it ca to studying. Neither of them had troubled him when they were studying; even Han Rong was at the top of his grade. Thus, he was sure that Han Jianyou would be the sa; as long as he tried to work hard, he would definitely be able to succeed.
However, while Han Yichen was filled with happiness, ng Yunhan’s facial expression was sothing that was worth seeing. She looked like she had eaten so sort of pig weed. She looked at Han Jianyou as if she wanted to eat him alive. She raised her hand and snarled, "Oh, I understand now. So, you have been trying to embarrass till now. You could have easily received a good set of grades, but you still flunked your exams and made look like a bad mother." As she spoke those words, ng Yunhan did not feel at all ashad over the fact that she was the one who had derailed the thoughts of her son by misguiding him .
