Li Dian and Yu Jin led their army to attack Puyang, bringing siege ladders alongside them and preparing the battering ram.

Cao Ren led the archers and kept shooting arrow after arrow at Puyang, to create an opening for the Infantries to climb up the wall, as they needed to take down Puyang at the fastest speed possible.
The siege of Puyang began, 15,000 n against 50,000 n where the attackers outnumbered the defenders 3 to 1.

Lu Lingqi’s unit’s combat power and ferocity opened the eyes of Zhang Miao, Xi Si, and Wang Kai as they didn’t expect that these won could fight so fiercely, they aren’t that strong but utilized their agility and speed to incorporate perfect coordination with each other.
Li Dian and Yu Jin who led their army saw the commotion upstairs, especially seeing so dead bodies being thrown down and crushing the soldiers who were climbing the ladders.
The both of them climbed the ladders, as they felt that there was a strong presence up there which they needed to deal with.
When they reached the top, they saw Lu Lingqi and a unit of won soldiers raising their weapons at them.

At this ti, Gao Shun suddenly goes toward their position bringing a ssenger alongside him, and with a hint of panic in his voice, Gao Shun reported to him alongside Chen Ging about what transpired in Puyang.
Lu Bu and Chen Gong were shocked by this, Lu Bu who was angry and afraid at the sa ti, asked the ssenger with a loud voice, if it was true what Gao Shun had just said.
The ssenger knelt on the ground and said that it’s true everything Gao Shun said, he was sent here by Zhang Miao to request his reinforcent.
Lu Bu then began to truly panic, he asked Chen Gong what should he do, as Chen Gon was confident that Cao Cao and Lie Fan’s alliance had broken down, so how could now 50,000 of Cao Cao’s n siege Puyabg from the east.
Chen Gong knew that he was a step behind Guo Jia and Cao Cao, as this was the ace in their sleeves.
Chen Gong between proving his worth or defending Puyang, chooses to defend Puyang.
He advised Lu Bu to order a retreat after this battle, so Puyang could defend the siege battle for as long as a week with the number of City Guards they have.
Lu Bu wanted to order the retreat imdiately ignoring Chen Ging’s advice, but Chen Ging told him that if they showed panic to Cao Cao, they would be chased by Cao Cao which could endanger Puyang.
Lu Bu was persuaded by this word, so so hours passed, and in the evening the battle slowly stopped as it was the norm since ancient tis that at night it was ti for rest, of course you can still have a battle but your vision is not as good on the day.
So under the cover of the night, Lu Bu and his army retreat silently leaving torches and mannequins made of cloth and grass with wooden sticks, to deceive Cao Cao and his n into thinking that they were still there.
What they don’t know is, that Guo Jia and Xi Zhicai have predicted that this would happen, but they let it happen as they would like to take Puyang without many casualties, where they will follow them in the morning.
Lu Bu led his army to speed up, where they would spend around 5 days before reading Puyang, they shortened it to 3 days not knowing that Cao Cao’s army stalked them from behind.
When Lu Bu and his army arrived, they saw how Puyang still stood tall which made Lu Bu finally rest easy.
They entered Puyang through the Western gate, and Lu Bu brought Chen Gong and all of his generals to the Eastern gate.
There Lu Bu finally ets with Zhang Miao and the others who are ecstatic that Lu Bu finally cos, but what surprises him the most is the presence of Lu Lingqi alongside many won whom he knew was a unit that he allowed Lu Lingqi to have.
Lu Bu wanted to scold her and punish Zhang Miao, but seeing the ti was not right he held himself from doing so, Chen Gong then took over the defense from Zhang Miao and began to close so openings in their defense that Zhang Miao didn’t notice.
All of Lu Bu’s n who were now around 90,000 n defended the wall by joining the defense, and Cao Ren who was below could see the additional n standing atop the wall so he knew Lu Bu was back which ant their plan work.
Cao Ren slowly reduced the intensity of his attack, which caused Chen Gong to be confused at first but then he was suddenly enlightened, realizing that this was also a trap or trick being set by Guo Jia.
Chen Gong told Lu Bu and all of the generals there, that they had entered Guo Jia’s trap, and when Chen Gong finished saying that a soldier ran up to them, reporting that at the West gate, Cao Cao’s army was seen on the horizon, making them need to battle at 2 sides.
