Go to spatreon/Tang12 ___________________________ Unbeknownst to all parties that took part in the battle, inside Jiangxia a conspiracy slowly taking place as Deng Long, who was under the control of the Oriole began to unite the dissidents in Huang Zu’s rank that supported the idea of pledging allegiance to Lie Fan, to pressure Huang Zu as he has received the order and so information that the battle will take place for several days until Huang Zu set his mind to surrender and pledge his allegiance to Lie Fan.

Deng Long who wanted to be freed of his drug addiction due to the Oriole, did his best to persuade the other generals and advisors under Huang Zu who have the mind to surrender to Lie Fan.

Even the neutral faction was approached by him, as the more people united under his leadership the higher the chance Huang Zu would pledge his allegiance to Lie Fan, which was sothing he wanted to happen as quickly as possible.

Huang Zhu and Li Yan don’t know that there’s a mole inside Jiangxia, and this mole has a high status inside Huang Zu’s military rank.

The two of them are coordinating Jiangxia’s defenses as they are receiving heavy attacks from both water and land, Jiangxia Port was in chaos due to Hwacha and archers shooting their n at the port while the eastern wall have been breached by Lie Fan’s army.

Fortunately, there’s Huang Chao and Wen Ping that shared their burden in on the Eastern Wall.

The two managed to block four of Lie Fan’s generals who led the attack on the wall, but unbeknownst to them Dian Wei was on the way to support those four generals.

At Jiangxia’s port, Huang Zu and Li Yan’s n are trying their best to hide under cover against the arrows being shot at them, not realizing at this ti the ships are approaching the port.

Liu Ba ordered the Troop transport ships to dock at the port and the Qinglong Army could disembark at the port and begin the battle to take control of Jiangxia Port, fortunately, there was a Hwacha installed on the ship so it had ans to defend itself.

Under the coordinated leadership of Huang Zhong and Lu Jun, the other ships also approached the port but great so distance to allow the transport ships to dock and then undock taking turns with the other transport ships.

They provided cover fire for the troop transport ships, and when Huang Zu and Li Yan’s n realized that the ships had docked at Jiangxia’s port it was already too late, as the Qinglong Army began to disembark.

When the Qinglong Army disembarked from the Troop Transport ships, the other ships held fire as they didn’t want to accidentally shoot their comrade, and this allowed Huang Zu and Li Yan’s n to finally leave their cover.

The river breeze carried the scent of dampness and anticipation as the Qinglong Army stepped onto the solid ground of Jiangxia’s port.

He Qi, Lu Fan, Lei Bo, Hao ng, and Hou Cheng lead the Qinglong Army in the ground battle.

Huang Zhong and Lu Jun stayed on board the ships to oversee Lie Fan and the Lu Clan’s navy, to be ready in case Liu Biao’s navy under Cai Mao suddenly ca to reinforce Huang Zu.

Under the lead of these 5 generals, The Qinglong Army began their assault on Huang Zu and Li Yan’s n to take control of Jiangxia Port, where Huang Zu and Li Yan’s n could only respond to the attack by defending themselves as they were scattered and unprepared thanks to the heavy suppressing fire of arrows before.

When both Huang Zhu and Li Yan received the news of another army landing in Jiangxia Port, they knew that this battle could just end today in their defeat, and feared that their rear would be in an uncontrollable situation, Li Yan decided to lead the rear personally.

Huang Zu could only agree to Li Yan’s insistence because he knew that the situation was becoming more and more not in their favor, especially with the arrival of a new army in the port which was their rear front now due to the attack.

Receiving Huang Zu’s agreent, Li Yan left the command area alongside his personal unit heading toward the port, and at this ti Deng Long approached Huang Zu.

Deng Long: “Admiral Huang, the situation is becoming more and more unfavorable for us.

I think you should reconsider pledging your allegiance to Lie Fan, don’t worry about the others I could help you to garner support.” Huang Zu: “Deng Long!

Don’t you see how heavy the situation is right now?!

If you want to pledge your allegiance to Lie Fan then you can leave and go toward his army to surrender!

If you utter those words to again I will have you executed!” Deng Long: “Admiral Huang I think both of us agree that you wouldn’t do that, and don’t need to hide under this righteous facade trying to fight the inevitable, I can see that you have the sa mind as since our last conversation and during our ergency eting.” Huang Zu: “You?!

Get out of here, don’t show your face until you have co to your senses!

I have a town and tens of thousands life in my hands it was my responsibility to protect!” Deng Long leaves the command area with a smirk, he knows that while Huang Zu shows such rage and anger he fell into the notion of surrendering to Lie Fan because he hasn’t had him arrested or executed but allowed him to roam freely.

While in Jiangxia the battle was raging on and a conspiracy slowly taking place, in You Province at the capital of Gongsun Du sothing big happened, after Gongsun Du’s fainting and Gongsun Gong’s rise to power to replace his father montarily, he ousted both the loyalist faction and neutral faction out from power.

Both factions tried to fight back against Gongsun Gong’s suppression, even uniting together to fight back but unfortunately for them, Gongsun Gong already controlled the narrative, and the people of Liaodong have fully supported Gongsun Gong.

Their mbers either had the power, influence, or money and began to change sides and slowly joined under Gongsun Du’s banner, causing them to reach a dead end and finally be ousted from power by Gongsun Gong.

The internal cleaning by Gongsun Gong shows that he has prepared for this for a long ti, as he moves very swiftly and decisive leaving no room for his opposition to move or even protect themselves.

Even the people who joined under his banner were surprised by his decisiveness, his maneuver after maneuver was coordinated and without any flaw, like he was afraid that his father would wake up.

Unknown to them all they guessed right, Gongsun Gong was doing everything in a fast and decisive manner because he wanted to cut off the power that Gongsun held, not because he hated his father but to preserve the Gongsun Clan line.

He could see that his father wouldn’t surrender and continue fighting against Lie Fan, even if his older brother had been captured, and even though Gongsun Du fainted when he heard the news, Gongsun Gong was 100% sure that his father would continue fighting.

If it’s just between them and Lie Fan, Gongsun Gong will not take action into his own hands but Goguryeos in the Southeast began their counterattack, and there are rumors of the Xiongnus movent to the north.

He doesn’t want his clan to beco like the Gongsun Zan clan, where all of them were eliminated by Yuan Shao except for the won young and old, who either beco slaves or sold off to brothels.

Gongsun Gong doesn’t want sothing like this to happen to their clan, even though he knows that Lie Fan is much kinder than Yuan Shao but he doesn’t want to take any chances, lest he regret when it is different than his expectations.

Now while his father was unconscious, Gongsun Gong did anything he could to change the power structure and people to his favor, so that when his father beca conscious there was nothing he could do except live in retirent.

At this ti Gongsun Gong was holding a eting with his subjects, he was discussing with them the conditions or treaty they would offer to Lie Fan in exchange for their surrender and if the Gongsun Clan could retain so of their power or influence.

Gongsun Gong: “What do you think everyone?

We haven’t had much ti left.

The Goguryeos are moving and the Xiongnus would definitely join in the fun, and our army is shrinking at a fast rate while fighting against Lie Fan and his army.” Advisor A: “My Lord, why don’t we offer them the most valuable resource we have?

which is our horses and the endless supply we have in the form of the Xiongnus.” Gongsun Gong: “It could work in the past but I have received information that Lie Fan has his own Horse farm in Xiapi, it was well protected, and the breed of their horse is exquisite and I’m not sure if our horses are captivating enough.” Advisor B: “Then in addition to our horses, maybe so of the riches we take from the Xiongnus and Goguryeos!

We have gained much from our expeditionary against them, In sure that these golds and jades will surely be fascinating enough.” Advisor C: “Lie Fans are very rich, the land under him is very fertile, and his crops now dominate the market, especially with the support of the Mi Clan and the Yu rchant Group.

I think in addition to both our riches and horses, we should declare our allegiance and join under Lie Fan like Lu Kang and the Lu Clan.” Gongsun Gong exclaid in agreent after hearing the words he wanted to hear, he knew that while the submission faction and the rest of the people he ‘invited’ to join his side, not all of them wanted to submit to Lie Fan.

So he doesn’t say that he decided to pledge allegiance to Lie Fan and submit all of Gongsun Clan’s authority toward Lie Fan, because if he is the one who said it then he is 100% sure so of them will do their best to undermine his power.

The other was shocked by the advisor’s words and chaos broke out after Gongsun Gong showed his agreent, the people that don’t want to truly submit to Lie Fan began to show their presence.

Gongsun Gong seeing that they have jumped out, instructs his guard to escort them out and imprison them while he slowly strips them of their power because he wants a stable handover of power from him to Lie Fan.

Hearing Gongsun Gong’s words, before his opposition could even say another word, they were escorted out of the hall to the prison, where they would wait for their judgnt from Gongsun Gong.

After seeing that their opposition was expelled, people who shared the sa idea as the advisor and Gongsun Gong supported the motion of surrendering and pledging their allegiance to Lie Fan, and receiving his council support Gongsun Gong took out the letter he had drafted beforehand and gave it to a courier to be sent to Lie Fan, which contains intention for parley and discussing the terms of surrender.
