He also requested for Guo Jia and Xi Zhicai to revise the plan according to the changes that had just happened and to report to him when it was done.
The two cupped their hand toward Cao Cao recycling his order, while Xun Yu was mulling over what kind of reward and promotion Jia Kui should receive.
Cao Cao in Xuchang received a piece of good news and his plan began to underway a positive start, far away from the Northeast at the border of China, Zhang Liao and Gongsun Gong continued their fight against the Goguryeos.
The failure of the Goguryeo’s main general of capitalizing on the opportunity to cripple Zhang Liao and the Bingzhou Wolf cavalry proved to be a very horrible thing for them.
After Zhang Liao and the Bingzhou Wolf cavalry managed to slip out from the formation of the Goguryeo Army, Zhang Liao led the Bingzhou Wolf cavalry to pick up the Goguryeo’s soldiers that were on the outer side of the formation.
While that was happening, Gao Shun also headed out leading his Formation Breaker Unit to attack the Goguryeos.
Gao Shun does so because he wants to continue weakening the Goguryeo’s combat power, at first, they planned to hold out and for the Goguryeo’s Army to regroup into one big army before clashing with them.
But after seeing that they managed to trap Zhang Liao and the Bingzhou Wolf cavalry, Gao Shun realized that they underestimated the Goguryeo’s combat power and strategic mind.
So after giving command of the army to Gongsun Gong, he heads out to support Zhang Liao’s endeavor.
Zhang Liao was surprised by the sudden changes in the plan, but he fully trusted Gao Shun and that whatever changes being made were needed.
Gao Shun’s Formation Breaker Unit previously amounted to around 5,000 n but after joining Lie Fan, he was requested by Lie Fan to increase them to around 15,000 n so Gao Shun did so.
The increase of 10,000 n disrupted their combat power for a while, but under Gao Shun’s training and leadership, they managed to return to their normal combat power, even exceeding it and becoming even more powerful.
Seeing the incoming 15,000 n, the Goguryeo’s main general decided to hold and let them co, preparing this man for a defensive battle, and once again this was a bad move because Gao Shun and his unit caused a large blow to the Goguryeo’s formation.
The na of Formation Breaker wasn’t for nothing, Gao Shun showed why his unit lived up to its na and at the expense of the Goguryeo’s soldiers being killed left and right, which caused the Goguryeo’s formation to almost collapse.
At this ti when the Main General of the Gogiuryeo’s Army almost lost hope for any chance of survivability for his army, several kiloters from his location in two directions large army was heading to them.
It was the other Goguryeo’s Army around the area, that was arriving after receiving the letter requesting their help from their Main General.
The Goguryeo’s main general receiving this information was ecstatic and began to order his army to hold out as best as they could, as their reinforcent had arrived and on their way to support them.
Gao Shun and Zhang Liao also received this piece of news, knowing that the number would not be in their favor the two ordered their unit to retreat back to their Army Encampnt.
Seeing this the Goguryeo’s main general tried to keep them by ordering his n to hinder their retreat, but unfortunately, their combat power couldn’t stop them.
When the Goguryeo’s reinforcent finally arrived, both Gao Shun and Zhang Liao alongside their unit managed to retreat safely to their Army encampnt.
The Goguryei’s main general was happy seeing his comrade had finally arrived to save him because after doing a census of 50,000 n he had previously, he had around 30,000 n remaining.
This was a huge blow to him and the Goguryeo Kingdom, fortunately with the arrival of the rest of the Goguryeo’s army with heavy numbered around 50,000 n also, they bolstered their number to 130,000 n.
He believes that he could take on the Han Army with this number, because in his mind the combat power of the Han Army would still be the sa as the previous one, with only Zhang Liao and Gao Shun’s unit as an exception.
He doesn’t realize that his thoughts would be the cause of defeat for him and his army, which would cause large setbacks for the Goguryeo Kingdom.
After holding a eting with his comrades, generals, and advisors, they ca up with a plan of attack to take down Zhang Liao and Gao Shun’s Army encampnt which was made like a defensive formation.
Rembering Zhang Liao’s movent attack with his cavalry, the Goguryeo’s main general decided to utilize the sa tactics used by Zhang Liao and order his cavalry to set out first while the main army followed from behind.
This movent was seen by Zhang Liao, Gao Shun, and Gongsun Gong from their encampnt, Zhang Liao laughed seeing this because he never expected that the Goguryeos would be blinded by their own ego, and use the sa tactics that he used.
What the Goguryeos don’t know is that his tactic base form was the combat power of the cavalry, sothing that the Goguryeo’s cavalry doesn’t have in his mind, and soon enough it was proven by how ineffective was the Goguryeo’s cavalry in trying to weaken Zhang Liao and Gongsun Gong’s army, it even reversed with them gaining large amount casualties causing the Goguryeo’s main general ordering them to retreat.
