"Just a hunch." Yu Qi replied smoothly.
Nurse Shin Teng was still very confused by Yu Qi’s words.
Yu Qi glanced over, her eyes catching Long Hui standing near the entrance. He was not wearing his usual relaxed expression. Instead, he was leaning against a wooden pillar with his arms crossed, watching the road that led into the village.
"Ah... Doctor Yu Qi, you are staring at your fiancé again." Nurse Shin Teng teased Yu Qi.
Yu Qi quickly turned away and coughed several tis to cover her embarrassnt.
"Do your work." Yu Qi said to Nurse Shin Teng.
Nurse Shin Teng laughed again and went back to her duties.
Doctor Duan Jiang was currently talking with Su Longuo near the weigh station. Su Longuo looked pale, and his eyes kept darting toward the mountain pass every few seconds. He wiped the sweat from his forehead repeatedly despite the cool breeze blowing through the area.
"Are you alright, Chief Su? Your pulse looks a bit rapid from over here. Perhaps you should sit down for a quick check-up?" Doctor Duan asked with concern.
"No, no, Doctor. Just... harvest jitters." Su Longuo stamred while shaking his head. He tried to force a smile. "It is just a big day today. Lots of weight to move."
Since Su Longuo refused, Doctor Duan Jiang could not force Su Longuo. Well, I will pay attention to him.’ That was what Doctor Duan Jiang thought.
Then the peace was suddenly shattered.
They heard the low, aggressive growl of multiple engines echoing through the valley.
