"One person she should not offend? Who?" Chen Guoliang asked, his brows furrowing deeply in confusion.

"The big boss herself. Chairwoman Tang." Chen Song noted.

"What!!!"

The exclamation erupted from everyone at once. They turned back to Chen ili in absolute shock.

"I thought she was just a random visitor." Chen ili started, her voice shaking uncontrollably. "She was with an old man, picking fruit... and they did not respond properly when I questioned them, so I..."

"So you what?" Chen Song cut in sharply, his patience finally snapping.

"I... I said so things..." she admitted with barely audible voice.

"What things?" Chen Guoliang pressed, his brow furrowing so deeply it looked like a scar.

Chen ili’s silence stretched on for too long. That silence alone was enough to make everyone in the room feel a sense of impending doom. Chen Song closed his eyes briefly, as if trying to erase the mory, before speaking in her place.

"She accused the Chairwoman of being a kept woman." Chen Song said flatly.

The words landed like a bomb in the centre of the living room.

"What?!" Xue Jinghua gasped, the colour draining from her face until she looked like a ghost.

The room exploded into absolute chaos.

"Are you out of your mind?!" One relative shouted, jumping to their feet.

"How could you possibly say sothing like that to a stranger?!"

"Do you have any idea who you have offended?!"

The voices overlapped, rising one after another, each sharper and more panicked than the last. Chen ili broke down completely, sobbing uncontrollably as she buried her face in her hands.

"I did not know! I really did not know!" Che ili wailed.

"And you think that makes it better?!" Chen Song snapped, his voice finally rising to a roar that silenced the room. "So, as long as you think soone is unimportant, you feel you have the right to insult them however you like?!"

His words cut through the noise like a blade. The room fell into a deathly silence once again. Even Chen ili’s frantic sobs faltered. Chen Guoliang’s face turned ashen as the reality of the situation set in.

"You an... all of this..." Chen Guoliang said slowly, his voice trembling as he struggled to process the magnitude of the disaster. "Is it all because of that one single incident?"

"Your daughter called , pleading and begging for to co and help her. When I finally arrived and saw exactly who was standing there in front of , even I was struck completely speechless." Chen Song said, letting out a hollow, defeated laugh that echoed bitterly in the quiet room. "If she had only told from the very beginning who she had offended, I might not have walked in so blindly and gotten myself entangled in her ss. And if I had not been involved, you all might still be safe right now. But now? It’s all over."

The room plunged into a heavy, suffocating silence.

"You think that was the only problem?" Chen Song asked, his voice dropping to a dangerous low.

His gaze swept slowly across the room, lingering on each relative one by one, forcing them to et his eyes.

"The Chairwoman has already ordered a full, comprehensive audit. Every single hire made under my personal supervision for the past year will be thoroughly and ruthlessly reviewed." Chen Song added.

The weight of those words sank in imdiately. A ripple of sharp unease spread through the room like a drenching of ice-cold water.

"What does that have to do with us?" One relative asked, though his voice lacked any shred of true confidence.

Chen Song looked at him, his eyes weary. For a long mont, he said nothing. That silence alone was a more terrifying answer than any words could be. The relatives suddenly realised sothing dreadful, the blood draining from their faces.

"You an..." Another relative started, her voice trembling before she continued, "They are going to investigate all of us? Every one of us?"

"Hmm..." Chen Song did not deny it. He rely watched them with a look of grim resignation.

Panic erupted at once, shattering the previous silence.

"What if they find sothing?! My records are not exactly clean!"

"This is bad... this is really, really bad... We are ruined!"

"You have to fix this!" Xue Jinghua suddenly cried out, turning toward Chen Song with a desperate, clawing grip. "You are the one in the company! You are the one with all the connections! Go and talk to the Chairwoman right now! Apologize! Crawl and beg if you have to!"

Her words ca out in a frantic, disjointed rush, driven entirely by blind, primal fear.

"Yes! You must be the one to resolve this!"

"You can’t let this affect the entire family! We have our own lives! You need to solve it."

Voices rose again, this ti filled with a stinging urgency, manic panic, and sharp blades of bla. All of it was directed solely at him. Chen Song stood there, unmoving and stoic, as the accusations piled one after another onto his tired shoulders. Sothing in his expression slowly hardened, turning to stone.

"Enough." Chen Song said.

His voice was not loud, but it carried a sudden, shearing weight that silenced everyone in the room instantly.

"I already told you that I am suspended." Chen Song uttered, his words falling like shards of ice.

The relatives looked at each other, their mouths hanging open in stunned disbelief.

"And Chairwoman Tang is not soone you can simply ’talk to’ and settle things with like a common street vendor. Do you truly think she does not already know everything that has been happening?" Chen Song continued.
