Florida is often said to be a land of outstanding people and beautiful scenery, but its cri rate isn't actually that high compared to the rest of the country. Jack suspects that Florida's notorious reputation is largely due to its public records laws.

For example, the most famous "Sunshine Law" states that all governnt affairs are public affairs. Therefore, many records in the state, such as arrest reports, 911 call logs, and even arrest photos, are freely available for public access.

In other states, although similar laws exist, even journalists need to submit applications and wait dozens of days or even months to obtain those theoretically publicly available docunts.

Thus, since the rise of internet dia, so people have created online accounts to report on various bizarre events they find in public records — perhaps a form of survivorship bias.

Jack and Hannah's first stop in Florida wasn't the famous Miami, but rather Clearwater, near Tampa on the western side of the peninsula.

Driving south along Highway 93 from Georgia for over eight hours, they first arrived in Tampa, rested for the night, and then drove west along Bay Drive the next day, crossing the long bridge over Old Tampa Bay to reach Clearwater.

This place felt like a city built on white sand beaches.

"It feels a bit strange," he said. "I've been in Los Angeles for so long and haven't really wanted to see the ocean and beaches, but here, I suddenly find the seaside scenery so beautiful."

The seawater here was different from the famous beaches of Los Angeles; the sand was finer and whiter, and the water near the shore was a more soothing turquoise, gradually turning a normal pale blue towards the distance.

They drove to the southernmost tip of this small bay and rented a vacation cabin at a high price, complete with a small private beach nearby.

While public beaches are certainly scenic and have many stunning Latina won, there are also quite a few concern about privacy.

And a little bit of possessiveness about not allowing others to watch Hannah's figure. .

"Is it because you've finally relaxed?" Hannah smiled, her eyes crinkling. She knew Jack's life from previous years well — living on the edge of a slum, struggling to run a small grocery store alone, walking on thin ice every day, trying to avoid getting caught in one troubleso vortex after another. He'd finally beco a policeman, handling countless cases, big and small, and still busy with studies and training.

In her mory, the most relaxed ti she'd ever seen him was when he cooked for her.

After applying sunscreen to the little sweetheart and indulging his hands, Jack thoughtfully tied her bikini straps. Although the private beach had a simple fence, there was no guarantee that tourists who wanted to enjoy the beautiful sand but didn't want to pay wouldn't try to trespass.

"Isn't it because you're here that I feel relaxed?" Jack leaned down and kissed her, handing her a can of chilled beer before lying down beside her.

Although it was also by the sea, the temperature here was slightly higher than in Los Angeles. Hannah's body temperature was a bit lower than his, and the sea breeze was cool and refreshing, making it very comfortable to be close to her.

Hannah instinctively snuggled back a little. Both of them were tall and long-legged, and their bodies pressed together very closely.

"Do you rember the first ti we t?" Hannah pressed Jack's mischievous hand firmly against her chest to stop him from moving, then pulled his other hand over and placed it under her head.

"It seems like I made you look down on back then." Jack's thoughts drifted back to that ti. He and Zoe had only known each other for a short ti then. One evening around six or seven o'clock, he was squatting in front of the smashed shelves, quietly cleaning up, when two beautiful policewon appeared at the entrance of the grocery store, looking at him in surprise.

"I didn't really look down on you, it was just a little strange that you didn't seem angry at all. Your eyes were just like my dad's; he'd look at like that when I got into trouble as a kid."

Because she was facing away, Jack could only see Hannah's profile. Perhaps it was from the sun, but her cheeks were flushed, making her barely noticeable freckles stand out.

"It was frustrating, wasn't it? I should thank you for often patrolling outside my area; otherwise, that little shop almost wouldn't have survived."

Jack was indeed having a tough ti back then. After being targeted by that gang of street thugs, even paying protection money didn't help.

Those guys thought he was easy to control since he was alone, and they harassed him relentlessly every day, trying to turn his small grocery store into an illegal sales point.

"That was just a small reward for all the food you bribed with." Hannah snorted, a hint of arrogance mixed with happiness in her voice.

"Speaking of which, I gave those guys a small reward a while ago." Jack said, recalling a chance encounter he'd had while patrolling the streets recently.

Hannah suddenly turned to face him, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "So you've been holding a grudge all along. I thought you'd forgiven those guys a long ti ago."

"Why should I forgive them? You forgot, even after you warned them, they wouldn't let off easily if they saw on the street," Jack said, puzzled.

"Because you're an angel. Soone like you shouldn't be bothered by such trivial matters."

Hannah's blue eyes darted around, her fingers lightly tracing her fair shoulder. After the battle two days ago, her right shoulder had been badly bruised from the recoil of the Barrett.

But now it was completely healed, showing no signs of injury.

Tsk, she was still suspicious after all. Hannah was young, while Zoe and Maureen, though they had sensed it, never investigated further, simply trying to strengthen their relationship.

[A/n: I think the healing power reveal might have sothing to do with sex of closeness, or Qi or chakra, sothing like that.]

"It's just a small special ability. There are too many people in this world more capable than . I heard the CBI has a psychic detective."

Jack chuckled dryly, trying to gloss over the situation. It wasn't that he didn't want to reveal any secrets; there were plenty of supernatural things in Arica. As long as he didn't do anything drastic, like performing a miracle to cure cancer on the spot, there was no need to worry too much.

It was just that he didn't know how to explain the system. Wasn't it better for everyone to just keep quiet?

"Hmph, he's definitely not as good as you. Look at Zoe now, she looks almost younger than . No wonder she always tries to steal you from . That day in the bathroom, she was even fighting over you…"

Hannah suddenly paused, her eyes sparkling. "No wonder, she even…"

Jack was both amused and exasperated, and could only seal her words with a kiss.

"That's enough, you might as well think of as an angel. Do you know that angels have many wings? The more wings an angel has, the more powerful he is. You are my wings. If one day I collect 12 pairs of wings, I can fly back to heaven."

"Ouch, be gentle, you're getting more and more rough with ."

As punishnt for soone's nonsense, Hannah demanded that Jack cook a seafood feast. For this, he had to spend half an afternoon driving to a seafood restaurant in the port area and buying a bunch of ingredients.

Florida has a unique type of rock crab. Fishern only break off its large claws for the catch, and boil it with a few blue crabs and so spices.

Add a 12-pound red grouper, stead, and you have a simple yet sumptuous al.

The two stayed in this seaside cottage for two whole weeks, enjoying seafood, visiting the aquarium, participating in diving training, and feeding dolphins by speedboat — they had a wonderful ti.

After all, Zoe had made it clear to Jack that Hannah's wish was to be with him, like a couple deeply in love, spending ti alone together.

Jack only occasionally acted like a jerk, but he maintained a firm grip on the relationship, turning their two-week vacation into a honeymoon.

Only after he had his sweetheart completely delighted and it was ti to return to the West Coast did they embark on their journey.

[A/n:

Dude was body shaming the whole region people, like there are no obese people in Chingchong.

While public beaches are certainly scenic and have many stunning Latina won, there are also quite a few who are an eyesore, given the dietary habits of Southern states, which result in the largest concentration of obese people in the country.

His aesthetic differed from the mainstream here. Overly full hips and lower limbs made him quite uncomfortable. Often, bigger wasn't always better; he appreciated naturalness and health.

I an, if you dislike looking a fat person, well it is definitely not racism.]
