“Okay, just one more push,” the midwife told Elicia.

Over the last few weeks, as Elicia’s due date had lood closer, not wanting to miss out on the mont their child was born, Damion spent most of his ti in Levande with her. Now the day had finally arrived, and he was anxious to find out if he had a son or a daughter. He could have used the body scanner and spoiled the surprise, but he resisted the urge.

“Great job,” the midwife announced as she slapped the babies back, making the little one cry out, but also start to breath. “Congratulations, it is a boy.”

“A boy,” Damion repeated. “I… we have a son.”

Elicia smiled with Damion as the midwife cast a healing spell on her. In just a few seconds Elicia felt completely recovered.

“Can I hold him?” Elicia asked as Damion helped her sit up in bed.

“Of course,” the midwife gently passed the baby over to his mother. Once father and mother were engrossed in the eyes of their newborn child, the midwife stepped out of the room and inford the grandparents and new aunt.

“Congrats, son,” Caleb said as the family entered the room and gave his son a slap on the back.

Sharon and Bethany rushed to the other side of Elicia’s bed to better view the newborn. And soon everyone was happily chatting. It was not until his mother asked about nas that Elicia and Damion looked at each other with uncertainty. They had discussed nas, but neither of them had found a na they both agreed on and thus were at a stalemate.

“Well?” Sharon pushed. “You can’t let the baby go for too long without a na. It’s bad luck.”

“You choose,” Damion told Elicia. Most of the nas he could think of were all related to Earth. If he suggested his Earth father’s na, if soone asked if the baby was nad after soone, what was he supposed to say.

“I think we should na him after Helga. After all, she was the one who brought us together and kept your family safe.”

“I don’t think our son will thank us when he gets older if we na him Helga,” Damion told her.

If not for the baby in her arms, Elicia would have thrown sothing at Damion for being dense. Instead, she just glared, causing the rest of the family to snicker.

“His na is Helge.”

Later that day Elicia and baby Helge were sent ho from the clinic. Damion escorted them back to his parents’ apartnt where he opened a Portal and took the whole family to his house to celebrate. Helge cried a bit after going through the Portal, but Damion knew it was just because of it being disorienting, it was perfectly safe to move the baby around in such a way, as long as your ears could stand the crying afterwards.

“This really is a nice house you built here,” Caleb told Damion after looking around. “I understand the simplicity of the design was so you could put it underground, but inside, it doesn’t seem like an underground house at all.”

Unlawfully taken from , this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

“Damion, where is Bethany?” Sharon asked Damion. Her daughter had wondered off while getting the baby settled and now she could not find her.

“She is outside playing with Phil.”

“Is that safe?” Sharon worriedly asked. “It is a Demonic Beast you know.”

“Don’t worry. Phil would never hurt her. It may be a Demonic Beast, but as my bonded familiar, my family is the sa as its family.”

Sharon looked skeptical, but she wanted to have faith in her son. Still, she stuck her head out the door to check. There she saw Bethany climbing on top of the Blizzard King. The beast rely lay there, letting the little girl do as she pleased, even flattening its body on the ground to make it easier for her to climb up.

“Now that the baby is here, I think it is about ti we moved to Atlantis. The barrier mountain range should be completed now,” Caleb told Damion.

"I guess you are right. For , it really won’t be that much of a change. I can actually just move my house into my personal spatial storage and then dump it out sowhere appropriate in Atlantis.”

“You aren’t going to live at the school?”

“We don’t have any students yet, and even if we did, they are just going to be normal kids. We won’t be teaching them magic until they are eighteen.”

“I know son. I was just thinking it would be better for Elicia and Helge if you stuck around. Instead of going out to explore.”

“I won’t be going out to explore, well, not technically.”

“What do you an?” Caleb asked.

“You rember Mage Teft explaining dungeons to you? How they form the backbone of a city economy?”

“Yes, she said told that wild dungeons were where most of the beast waves co from, but it was possible to capture them and then people can go in them and use them like a farm. To collect the rare materials inside. It was quite the shock to learn that sothing that causes beast waves were inside every city.”

“As long as they are cleared regularly, there is no danger of a beast wave happening. I found a very special kind of dungeon, called a labyrinth. And I’ll be spending most of my ti in there.”

“You should spend most of your ti with your new son,” Caleb said flatly.

“I know. But I need to be stronger. I need to be so strong that nothing can ever harm my son, or Elicia, or you, mom or Bethany. And to get that strength, I have to train and the best place for to do that will be inside the labyrinth.”

“I understand son. I just hope you don’t chase power and neglect your family.”

“Don’t worry. I won’t train all the ti. Taking breaks is important to health growth. And I’ve already gone over this with Elicia. In fact, once Helge gets weaned, she is going to resu her training in the dungeon as well. So, we’ll be counting on you and mom for a lot of babysitting."

Caleb looked at his son and saw Damion was completely serious. Instead of arguing, he just hoped his son knew what he was doing.

The next morning, after Damion helped his parents pack up their apartnt, which involved sending everything to his underground house which he then collected in the Magic System Inventory, he opened a Portal to Atlantis and went through with his family.

Damion had not visited much during the construction, having spent most of his ti waiting for Helge to be born. Now that he was looking at the fledging city, he was impressed. The single wedge that had been built around the central island was already larger in area than Saung and once the entire city was complete it would rival any of the White Zone cities.

“Damion, good that you are here,” Mage Teft said, rushing over. “I’m hoping you can do the final touch of upgrading an auto-mapper setting in the central tower of the school. I heard your personal auto-mapper can map everything for 50 kiloters.”

“Sure, I can upgrade one of Leland’s auto-mappers,” Damion told her, taking the auto-mapper Mage Teft offered without resistance.

“Oh my, and who is this little guy?” Mage Teft asked, suddenly becoming aware of the rest of Damion’s family.

“This is Helge,” Elicia said, introducing her son.

When Mage Teft heard the na for a brief mont everyone thought she would tear up. In the end, she rely smiled and seed distracted in thought for a mont before rushing off to whatever task was next on her agenda.
