Li Yan stepped out of the chaotic and noisy courtyard, an unprecedented sense of oppression sweeping over him. He glanced back at Gu Tong without saying a word, his deanor entirely suggestive that everything was understood without being spoken.
He turned around and walked directly to the Jeep that Gu Tong had driven when she arrived, but instead of getting into the driver’s seat, he stood by the passenger-side door.
Gu Tong returned to her hotown without seeking Li Yan’s approval, leaving just a few words before leaving. It was natural for Li Yan to be angry.
Thinking of this, Gu Tong pressed her lips together, also saying nothing further, and simply unlocked the car in response.
With a ’click--’.
Li Yan opened the passenger door and sat right inside. Of course, his expression hadn’t softened at all, still showing a look of burning anger, clearly very upset this ti.
Gu Tong felt extrely conflicted; she didn’t want to see Li Yan like this, but there was nothing she could do, having no other solution but to watch him being angry.
Gu Tong slowly got into the car in almost no ti, then hesitantly asked, "Where are we going?"
Now, they had two places they could go, one was to Li’s mother’s house, and the other was to go ho.
However, it was clear that this question was unnecessary.
"Just drive forward first!"
Li Yan kept his face steady, not knowing what he was thinking at all.
Gu Tong could understand his mood and knew why he felt this way, so she said nothing more and just drove forward.
In this matter, it was also her fault for leaving without notice for her hotown, and leaving behind a note which made Li Yan speculate in all sorts of ways, even compelling him to hurriedly co over.
Of course, her actions weren’t unreasonable but were purposeful, there for a serious matter. At this mont, her thoughts centered more on awaiting Li Yan’s reaction.
In the past life, regarding Li’s mother’s affairs, Gu Tong knew only roughly, and had heard it from her grandmother, knowing only bits and pieces, not the whole story.
However...
Li Yan had lived with Li’s mother for many years, how could he not notice any clues, and how could he possibly not know his own identity? That in itself was a problem.
"Why did you go back ho?"
After driving for who knows how long, Li Yan finally freed so of his stifled feelings and asked this question, urgently needing an answer.
"Why did you co?"
Gu Tong didn’t answer but instead asked in return.
Equally, she desperately wanted to know the answer!
Whether Li Yan knew or didn’t know about his identity, these were two entirely different matters.
"You’re in your hotown, how could I not co!"
Li Yan was well aware of his mother’s personality, afraid that Gu Tong might suffer, prompting him to rush over.
Yet unexpected, even though he was quick, things still turned out this way...
"I ca back just to look around!"
Gu Tong said sowhat sulkily, "This is your hotown! Can’t I co back to have a look?"
"No reason, just ca back? Do you think I’d believe that?!"
Li Yan vented his inner anger, pressuring Gu Tong, wanting to find out the answer within her heart.
’Screech―’
Gu Tong slamd on the brakes and also turned to look at Li Yan. At this second, she was also filled with pain and said, "Your last na is Li, not Zhang, right?"
Such words ca out of nowhere, and as soon as they were spoken, the air froze.
It wasn’t an accusatory remark, but it forced Li Yan into complete silence. What was ant to co would eventually co; Gu Tong had found out...
