Lian Manman decided to help Lian Yeye figure things out and recover the stolen money.
Having made this decision, Lian Manman brought Xiao Xi and two long-term workers directly to the Lian Family Old Mansion. Entering the mansion’s gate, she instructed Xiao Xi to take the two workers to the West Wing Room to watch over the Wife of He Laoliu and He Family’s three children, while she, along with Lian Manman, went to the Upper Room.
In the Upper Room East Room, besides Lian Shouxin, Old Master Lian, Lady Zhou, Lian Shouren, Lian Jizu, Lian Shouyi, Erlang, Lady Chiang, and Lady He were all there. When Lian Manman reached the door of the East Room, they were in conversation.
"...this matter, do you dare swear that you didn’t know beforehand." Lian Shouxin was questioning Lian Shouren and Lian Jizu, "Now that everyone has left, why can’t you just tell the truth, at least put Dad and Mom at ease."
Old Master Lian and Lady Zhou both stared at Lian Shouren and Lian Jizu, awaiting their answer. Lady Zhou even shot a cryptic glance at Lady Chiang.
"Really didn’t know." Lian Shouren and Lian Jizu, under the scrutiny, replied slowly.

Lian Manman waited until Lady Zhou finished cursing Lian Shouren before stepping into the room.
"Manman, why are you here, is there sothing at ho." Upon seeing Lian Manman, Lian Shouxin imdiately asked.
"Dad, it’s Yeye’s household that lost money." Lian Manman responded. As soon as Lian Yeye discovered the money was missing, she imdiately told Lady Zhao, and then, the mother and daughter didn’t say a word, Lian Yeye ca to find Lian Manman, hoping she could help them co up with a solution.
Clearly, in the eyes of Lian Yeye and Lady Zhao, the people in the old mansion combined were not as reliable and close as Lian Manman.
"What, Old Three’s family lost money." Old Master Lian upon hearing this, imdiately asked.
"Grandpa, it’s our market day egg-selling money that’s gone, a total of 126 wen." Lian Yeye then carefully recounted the lost money incident.
"It must be Eldest’s wife who stole the money, otherwise how could she have run far with those bound feet!" Lady Zhou, hearing Lian Yeye’s words, imdiately said aloud.
