Zhao Xiue knew quite a lot. Lian Manman glanced at Zhao Xiue, then at Lian Shouren, Lian Shouyi, Lady Gu, Lady He, and others, thinking to herself.

Zhao Xiue not only knew about the old affairs of the Lian Family at Thirty Mile Camp but claid to know the truth about Old Master Lian and Aunt Ping. Old Master Lian had been wronged, while Aunt Ping was bought off. In other words, soone bribed Aunt Ping to set a trap to falsely accuse Old Master Lian. And this person was both far away and right in front of them.
So, who else could it be but the Lian Family themselves?
Everyone in the courtyard was tense, even Lian Manman couldn’t help but look forward to what Zhao Xiue would say next.
"You shut your mouth, you’re a mad dog biting madly. No one will believe you, no matter what you say. You obviously have ill intentions, coming to cause trouble for our Old Lian Family." Lian Shouren pointed at Zhao Xiue, cursing incoherently.

That was after Lian Xiuxiu married Third Old Master Zheng and Lian Shouren gained real power. Because Old Master Lian would reprimand Lian Shouren daily, controlling him, Lian Shouren, newly empowered, wanted to spread his wings. He was very resentful and frustrated with what Old Master Lian did. After drinking so sullen wine, he didn’t seek out Yingzi but went to Lady Gu instead. The couple whispered to each other in private.
Over the years, Lian Shouren had developed a habit: whenever he faced a troubleso matter, he would discuss it with Lady Gu. Often in conversations with Lady Gu, he could inexplicably co up with a decent plan, thus resolving the issue. So, even though he was still fresh with Yingzi, at this mont, Lian Shouren went to find Lady Gu.
Indeed, he told Lady Gu his troubles, and she suggested that he co up with a plan to send Old Master Lian and Lady Zhou back to Thirty Mile Camp.
"Do you even need to say that?" Lian Shouren thought Lady Gu was stating the obvious, "If I could send the old couple back, what would I be worried about? Can’t you see, Old Master doesn’t trust , nagging every day to the point my ears are growing calluses. The old lady won’t leave either, with Xiuxiu here, she can’t bear to go far."
