Lian Shouren, Lian Shouyi, and the others all ran into the room to show their filial piety before Old Master Lian. This way, they could avoid facing Lady Zhang’s scolding and questioning.

If Zhao Xiue hadn’t caused such a scene, but instead ca properly to the mansion to discuss the issue of staying or leaving, even if there was so conflict, Lian Manman and the others wouldn’t have been involved. But with Zhao Xiue causing such a commotion and attacking, they couldn’t ignore it.

Old Master Lian had already said he wanted to end Zhao Xiue’s relationship, but Wu Lang still wanted Erlang’s opinion.
"Let her go." Erlang glanced at Zhao Xiue, then averted his gaze. "Let her go, I won’t pursue her. From now on... let bridges be bridges, roads be roads. She cannot take Niuniu."
Before finishing his words, Erlang’s voice choked a little.
Lian Manman understood. Erlang wouldn’t pursue Zhao Xiue for not ending things with him and following the businessman nad Zhao, but at the sa ti, he’s lost hope in Zhao Xiue. It’s undeniable; Zhao Xiue attacked with her people, clearly not willing to live with him again.
We must admit, Erlang truly showed affection and loyalty to Zhao Xiue.
Lian Manman turned to look at Zhao Xiue.

Zhao Xiue showed no appreciation for Erlang’s sentint; instead, she despised him greatly.
Lian Manman and Wu Lang exchanged a glance. Erlang said he wouldn’t fuss over that matter, and they didn’t want to interfere much either, but they couldn’t ignore Zhao Xiue causing trouble.
