"Why did Grandpa co to the market alone?" Lian Manman almost muttered to herself.
Upon seeing Old Master Lian, Lian Shouxin and Lian Manman hurried over to greet him.
"Dad, why have you co? Are you feeling well?" Lian Shouxin asked with concern.
"Grandpa, why did you co alone? Didn’t you bring anyone?" Lian Manman also asked.
"I’m still strong and healthy, nothing much to do, just ca out to have a look around and ended up here. I didn’t intend to co to the market, so I didn’t have them follow ." Old Master Lian turned his head and replied kindly, answering both Lian Shouxin and Lian Manman’s questions.
"Old Fourth, Manman, what are you here for?" Old Master Lian asked again.
"Dad, we ca to buy so firewood." Lian Shouxin honestly replied, then asked, "Dad, is there sothing you wanted to buy? What do you need?"
"Nothing really, nothing planned." Old Master Lian waved his hand.
"Old Master, you have an eye for quality. My timber here is among the best at this market. Don’t think it’s pricey, seeing you’re sincere about buying, I didn’t quote a false price." The stall owner glanced between Old Master Lian and Lian Shouxin and spoke up.
A "false price" is a local Thirty Mile Camp dialect aning an inflated price.
"Dad, are you here to buy timber?" Lian Shouxin detected so aning and asked.
