Old Master Lian noticed Lian Shouxin’s displeased expression and quickly swallowed the words he was about to say, pondering for different phrasing. But finding no suitable words, he simply skipped the latter part.
"You can’t write two ’Lian’ characters with one stroke; you are brothers of the sa mother. Even if the bones are broken, they are still connected by tendons. Just as Old Master Lian was speaking, there was a clang in the outer room.
"Who’s in the outer room, what are they doing?" Just as Old Master Lian reached the crucial point, he was interrupted, causing a surge of anger.
Unexpectedly, after he asked twice, there was no response from the outer room. Instead, there were footsteps leaving.
"Soone ca in, in broad daylight? Jizu, go and check." Old Master Lian instructed.
The phrase ’soone ca in’ didn’t an a guest arrived, but implied a thief ca in.
The folk custom at Thirty Mile Camp was simple, the old house had high walls and a deep courtyard, and the gate was a thick wooden door, so it’s almost impossible for a thief to co in during the day. Lian Jizu got up and went to the outer room after hearing Old Master Lian’s words.
"Second aunt, what are you doing? Did you drop the water dipper in the outer room?" Lian Shouxin remained seated, listening to Lian Jizu speaking to outside from the outer room.
"Not , I didn’t enter the Upper Room." Then ca Lady He’s voice, growing more distant, heading towards the main door.
After a while, Lian Jizu returned to the room.
"It must be my second aunt, she hurriedly went outside. I don’t know what she’s intending to do." Lian Jizu said upon entering.
"Ignore her, she’s no good!" Old Master Lian muttered under his breath.
"Old Fourth, what do you think about this matter?" Old Master Lian softened his voice again, looking at Lian Shouxin, "I wish to resolve this concern while I’m still alive."
"Dad, this matter, you ask ? You shouldn’t ask about this. I’m not fit to say anything." Lian Shouxin said while standing up, "Dad, Mom, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be going. There’s sothing back ho."
Lian Jizu and Lian Shouren quickly stood up, and Old Master Lian looked a bit surprised at Lian Shouxin.
"I’m leaving, you all stay in the room, no need to see off." Lian Shouxin lowered his head and briskly walked out of the room.
Lian Shouli, who ca with Lian Shouxin, had been silent until then. Seeing Lian Shouxin leave, he stood up to follow.
"Old Three, wait a mont." Old Master Lian, failing to stop Lian Shouxin, quickly stopped Lian Shouli.
"Old Three, you and Old Fourth have a good relationship. Help persuade Old Fourth. You’re all brothers, I’ve explained the reasoning; now you go and persuade him well. I’ll wait for your reply."

"Didn’t you see Old Fourth? Where did you rush off to?" Old Master Lian said peevishly, "Waiting for you, the flowers wilted."
"Dad," Lian Shouyi grinned toothily and glanced at Lian Shouren, Lian Jizu, and Lian Shouli, "Is it about finding a wife for my elder brother again?"
