Old Master Lian, however, was different from Lady Zhou. He always had a lot on his mind, sotis losing sleep night after night.
Since Lady Zhou ignored him, Old Master Lian felt a lack of interest. He turned over himself and tightly closed his eyes, trying to sleep.
However, though he wanted to sleep, he could not fall asleep.
The wound that was just vaguely aching during the day suddenly flared up. Old Master Lian felt the wound burning and aching, making sleep impossible.
After enduring for a while, he could no longer bear it, and began to moan softly. He moaned for a long ti, yet the snores from Lady Zhou’s side continued; she was sleeping soundly.

Even though Old Master Lian had managed to get Lady Zhou up and about, he stubbornly refused to let her call a doctor.

Lady Zhou called out several tis with no response. Old Master Lian could hear this from inside and began to feel impatient. For the task of just boiling so water, just a handful of firewood was needed, sothing Lady Zhou could completely do herself, yet she insisted on waking others.
