However, how to gracefully send away the Zhou father and daughter is a conundrum for him. It must be said that in his entire life, Old Master Lian is least capable of dealing with people and situations like this. As it happens, the only son who could help is not around.

Just monts ago, he was called to dine at the sa table as Old Master Lian, receiving rare attention and a bit of respect. But in an instant, he was back in the mud, being trampled underfoot by Lady Zhou’s little foot.
Seeing Lian Shouli like this, Lady Zhou grew even more disdainful, which only fueled her anger further.
"...You can’t even say a full sentence, what can we count on you for? Look at yourself when I scold you, such a weak creature, can’t even manage a household. You let your sharp-tongued wife and little girl control you..."
From scolding Lian Shouli, Lady Zhou turned to cursing Lady Zhao and Lian Yeye.
Lian Shouli’s face turned beet red, struggling to raise his head, he dared not look at Lady Zhou, but instead glanced at Old Master Lian. Seeing Old Master Lian, Lian Shouren, and Lian Jizu acting unconcerned, his hands began to tremble. All the while, Lady Zhou continued her relentless tirade against Lady Zhao and Lian Yeye.
In truth, Lady Zhou’s scolding was not sincere. She was extrely anxious, feeling powerless against the current situation, yet had nowhere to vent the pent-up frustration since last night. Lian Shouli, along with Lady Zhao and Lian Yeye, beca the perfect targets for her outburst.
"Mother," Lian Shouli mustered the courage, his voice a bit shaky. "You, you keep scolding , just scold , what does it have to do with them... Yeye’s mother ca over early without breakfast to help cook, hasn’t had a sip of water."
It was rare for Lian Shouli to speak up for Lady Zhao and Lian Yeye in front of Lady Zhou, and this struck directly at Lady Zhou’s core, prompting an imdiate reaction.
"What’s this, am I an unvalued old woman now, even you are talking back to ." Lady Zhou straightened her back and pointed accusingly at Lian Shouli’s nose, shouting, "You crawled out of my womb, don’t I know you? You ungrateful thing, I know you, you hate . Every ti there’s trouble, you co like the wind, you’re no good. Aren’t you just here to laugh at ?"
"Old Three, you won’t have a good end! Your eyes hold no parents, only your wife and daughter. What good ending can you have? I have eyes, I’m watching, I’ll see what retribution you get in the end..."
Lady Zhou always chose the harshest and most heart-piercing words to scold. The more unhappy the other person, the happier she beca. However, most of the ti, she reserved one ultimate taboo for Lian Shouli: that he had no son. But now, Lady Zhou was clearly planning to use this taboo.

"What kind of talk is that, why do you speak to Old Three like that, do you even have a mother’s heart?" Old Master Lian reproached Lady Zhou.
"What did I do, he crawled out of my womb, I raised him through thick and thin, can’t I say a few words?" Lady Zhou stiffened her neck, not feeling her actions were excessive.
Nowadays, in the entire Lian Family, Lian Shouli was the only one she could scold like this, who would accept it and be tad by her scolding. She hadn’t scolded with such satisfaction in a long ti.
"At a ti like this, you’re so inconsiderate. Are you trying to make things worse, or should we keep Zhou Daniu just to entertain you!" Seeing Lady Zhou’s disregard for the occasion or gravity, Old Master Lian got furious, and his rebuke towards Lady Zhou intensified in tone.
Lady Zhou realized Old Master Lian was genuinely angry and was using Zhou Daniu as leverage. She beca a bit scared. She was truly afraid of that Zhou Daniu.
"You’re just making things chaotic." Old Master Lian saw Lady Zhou stopped arguing, so he also softened his tone slightly. With a major enemy in front, they couldn’t let internal conflicts arise.
