"Duoduo? Yes, where has Duoduo gone?" Lady Gu had been paying attention to Lian Huahua the whole ti. It was only after Lady Chiang reminded her that she realized she had not seen Lian Duoduo at all.
Lian Huahua’s brows furrowed slightly.
"She must be hiding because she’s afraid of getting scolded by mother," said Lian Huahua resentfully. Her injury was entirely Lian Duoduo’s fault.
This morning, she and Lian Duoduo had been responsible for tending to a stove each. She had no experience with such tasks; when the fire in her stove went out, she went to Lian Duoduo to borrow so kindling. Lian Duoduo pulled out a burning stick from beneath her stove and accidentally swept it across her pant leg, setting it on fire. Then, it was Lian Duoduo again who doused her with boiling water.
Doctor Shi left behind so ointnt that he said would alleviate pain, and after giving his farewell, he left. Therefore, Lian Huahua spoke without restraint.
"That idiot Duoduo," Lian Huahua gritted her teeth and cursed, "I was just about to ask her if she did it on purpose. If my injury doesn’t heal, I’ll flay her skin off to see."
"Huahua, Duoduo is your own sister, she... she wouldn’t have done it intentionally," Lady Gu said hastily, "Yue E, go look for Duoduo."
"Eldest sister-in-law, don’t bother. When it’s ti to eat, she’ll co back on her own, no need for anyone to find her," Lian Huahua said, "Mother, my leg hurts, but didn’t brother buy the dicine prescribed by Doctor Li? Let eldest sister-in-law brew it for to drink."

Lady Gu imdiately set aside the matter of Lian Duoduo and instructed Lady Chiang to brew the dicine for Lian Huahua.

"And what about Imperial Doctor Wang? Why hasn’t he co? He just sent a doctor instead?"
"Imperial Doctor Wang is in the county, not in town."
"Why is no one around! Even if Imperial Doctor Wang isn’t here, there’s still Wang Youheng. Why didn’t he co? Last ti he treated the Fourth Household so quickly. In his eyes, do we rank lower than the Fourth Household?" Lian Huahua said.
"Huahua, don’t rush. Let’s discuss this calmly," Lady Gu, seeing Lian Huahua was agitated, quickly tried to soothe her.

Lian Jizu, listening to Lian Huahua speak like this, couldn’t hold back any longer.
"Huahua, what are you thinking? Doctor Lu specializes in won’s illnesses. Doctor Shi has treated burns before, that’s why they sent him," Lian Jizu said.
Lian Manman was picking vegetables from the back yard garden and passed by the outer room of the Upper Room; she happened to hear Lian Huahua saying such things inside and felt very unhappy. It seed her suspicions were correct; Lian Huahua was just that sort of person. Luckily, Wang Youheng hadn’t co, otherwise, who knew how much more she would be blad.
Lian Manman returned to the West Wing Room and relayed what she had heard from Lian Huahua to Lady Zhang.
"Young Doctor Wang couldn’t have co; he’s still young. Huahua is also young, and the injury is on her leg. Doctor Shi must certainly be the oldest in Jisheng Hall, right?" Lady Zhang said.
Lian Manman thought it over and realized it was indeed so. She looked at Lady Zhang with newfound respect. In so matters, Lady Zhang’s considerations were even deeper than hers.
"What are their plans regarding Huahua’s injury?" inquired Lady Zhang.
"It seems they’re deliberating whether to go to the Dexing Hall in the county," Lian Manman said.
In the West Room of the Upper Room, Lian Shouren’s family was indeed discussing the matter. The dicine prescribed by Doctor Li and the ointnt left by Doctor Shi could alleviate pain and promote healing, but neither could guarantee the absence of scars. Therefore, their only option was to seek alternative solutions, and Xinde Hall in the county city was considered a good choice.
