Lian Manman also found Zhang Qingshan’s words reasonable. No matter when, you always need people, and capable ones at that, as they are the foundation of everything. While the adults were talking, the kids couldn’t care less. The three little boys were causing so much mischief they could take the roof off. "How old are you now? You’re about to beco a bride and still act like a child," Lady Zhang Wang said with a helpless smile.
Everyone else laughed too. Of course, Zhang Caiyun didn’t really an to punish the three boys, and Xiao Long and Xiao Hu were laughing and begging for rcy. Zhang Caiyun gave them two light smacks on the bottom with the pillow before they fled, diving into the arms of Zhang Qingshan and Lady Li.
The three siblings were clearly used to being rowdy.
As for Xiao Qi, he had already hidden behind Lian Shouxin, loudly declaring it had nothing to do with him. Although Zhang Caiyun was feisty, she couldn’t go past Lian Shouxin to catch Xiao Qi. For the guests, it was no big deal, but as hosts, Lian Shouxin, Lady Zhang, and Lian Manman had been truly busy. Zhang Qingshan nodded in agreent with Lady Li’s suggestion.
"Let’s all call it a night early," Zhang Qingshan added.
Lian Manman, Zhang Caiyun, Lady Zhang Wang, and Lady Hu then left the east room, returning to the west room to rest.
The next day, after breakfast, the Zhang Family hitched their horse and headed ho. Lian Manman initially wanted Zhang Caiyun to stay a few more days, but with her wedding set for February, there was too much to prepare at ho, so she could only let it go.
