Lian Shouxin nodded, feeling Lian Manman’s words resonated with him. He had precisely those concerns, which is why he thought about restraining Luo Xiaoyan.

Lian Shouxin’s words also revealed that, although he disapproved of certain behaviors by Lian Shouyi and Lady He, emotionally, he still cared for his brother. As for Luo Xiaoyan, Lian Shouxin was persistently disapproving.

Lian Shouxin’s tendency to protect his family wasn’t a recent developnt; his family knew it, and so did their relatives. For instance, Lady Li avoided this issue earlier because she understood Lian Shouxin’s temperant.

"Second Master’s couple are in their pri, without any ailnts. Look at others in their age in the village; they all work hard, supporting their elders and caring for the young. "Their behavior is truly unreasonable," Lian Shouxin agreed, disapproving of Lian Shouyi and Lady He’s conduct.

"Yes, we need to maintain montum and not lose steam," Lian Manman quickly added with a laugh.

"Alright, you’ve all made valid points; let’s proceed as you suggest," Lian Shouxin finally said.

Having discussed and reached a consensus, the family waited for Lian Shouyi and others to co over. As dusk approached, Lian Manman and Lady Zhang quickly summoned others to arrange dinner plans.

Due to nurous matters to attend to in Prefecture City, the family couldn’t stay for long this ti, so a lot had to be arranged promptly. They had a feast at the Lu Family ho for lunch, and since Zhang Qingshan and Zhang Qingnian would return to Burner Pot Village the next day, tonight was the only ti everyone would be present. It was an opportunity for everyone to gather and celebrate.

Lian Manman promptly arranged the evening banquet nu with the kitchen steward, Han Zhong’s wife, who then left.

"At lunchti, Old Master Lu suggested we should go to their place for dinner. I told him we’re hosting it at our place tonight; everyone should co to our ho for dinner. Now, we need to send soone to invite them again," Lian Shouxin remarked.

"Naturally," Lian Manman nodded, "And my sister’s family, and my third uncle’s family, let’s formally invite them again."

With that, people were sent to hand out invitations.

"Recently, thanks to Master Qu, the school matters have been well managed," Wu Lang comnted.

"That’s a given; Master Qu should definitely be seated at the head of the table tonight," Lian Shouxin replied.

"Also, Scholar Wang heard of our return and just sent an invitation," Wu Lang smiled and nodded, adding, "I intend to visit personally soon to invite him and his son for tonight’s gathering."

Lian Shouxin, Lady Zhang, and Lian Manman nodded.

"Let’s think it over if there’s anyone else we should invite, lest we miss anyone," Lian Shouxin stated.

Everyone pondered but found no one else to invite, prompting Wu Lang to set off for the Wang Family. As he was about to leave, a servant ca to report that Lian Shouyi and Lady He had arrived and were outside clamoring to see Lian Shouxin.

"Just the two of them, or anyone else?" Lian Shouxin asked.

"Besides Second Old Master and Second Madam, there’s the Second Master couple from Luo Family Village, and the Second Master’s brother-in-law also ca," the servant responded, "They ca together, clamoring to get in. The Second Old Master and Second Madam say they need Master to make a decision for them, while the Second Master’s group claims they’re here to pay respects to Master and Madam."

"They really ca," Lady Zhang noted.

"And quite quickly too," Lian Manman quipped, noting that Erlang and Luo Xiaoying were also present, likely having returned from their work in the county.
