"Dad," Lian Manman walked over, tugging at Lian Shouxin, with her small face shining. "I heard everything from outside just now. The words you said to elder brother were so powerful. Co on, let’s go ho for dinner. I’ll have mom make you so braised pork."
"Braised pork for dinner?" Wu Lang and Xiao Qi ran in from outside.
"Who was in that carriage just now?" Wu Lang asked. They were coming along the official road and happened to see Lian Lanlan’s carriage passing by. Of course, the curtain was down, so they did not know it was Lian Lanlan inside; they simply deduced the carriage had just left from the front of the shop.
"It was my aunt." Lian Manman said.
The few of them walked ho, and along the way, Lian Manman imitated the conversation between Lian Shouxin and Lian Lanlan to Wu Lang and Xiao Qi.
Back at ho, Lian Manman couldn’t help but repeat the conversation again to Lady Zhang and the others.
Everyone was both angry and happy.
Angry that Lian Lanlan was practically forcing a marriage; happy that this ti Lian Shouxin didn’t disappoint them and sent Lian Lanlan packing.
"... Now that she’s gone back, she must send word to her grandfather and grandmother to complain, who knows how she will twist the story." Lady Zhang said.
