Aunt Hu had not expected Lady Zhou to act this way, likely no one had told her that Lady Zhou could be like this, and she was caught completely off guard, instantly scratched all over her face.
"Oh my goodness, what are you doing, what are you doing?" Aunt Hu didn’t dare to fight back, shielding her face with both hands, and tried to stand up and run away.
Lady Zhou, filled with extre hatred, wouldn’t let her escape and grabbed her hair with one hand while slapping her face with the other.
"Xiuxiu, what are you still looking at, today we’re going to kill this old hag," Lady Zhou called out to Lian Xiuxiu, and summoned Lian Lanlan and Lady He, "Lanlan, wife of Erlang, we must kill this murderous wretch today, don’t let her get away."

Aunt Hu scread in agony.

It was only Lady Zhou and Lian Xiuxiu attacking, while Lian Lanlan and Lady He just crowded around without actually hitting Aunt Hu. Relying on her robust body, Aunt Hu eventually broke free after enduring many nails and slaps, escaping disheveled and bloodied.
Aunt Hu didn’t dare linger in the room a mont longer and ran out as fast as she could.
"This will not do at all, I ran my legs off and argued my mouth dry to secure this good match for you, and I didn’t even get a sip of wine or tea, and now I’ve been beaten up. This matter today, I must go out and talk about it... My face... I can no longer show my face in public..."
Aunt Hu hurriedly left.
Seeing Lady Zhou hitting Aunt Hu, Lady Gu sensed trouble and quietly stood up, trying to sneak away amidst the chaos.
"You stop right there." Lady Zhou noticed Lady Gu leaving and shouted sternly, "Where do you think you’re going, I’m not done questioning you yet? Who allowed you to get up?"

Following behind Lian Shouren, Lian Shouyi also began to wipe his tears.
"You two conscienceless ones," Lady Zhou also cried, picking up the broom handle from the kang bed and started beating Lian Shouren and Lian Shouyi over their heads and faces.
The two brothers didn’t know whether it was planned or not, but they knelt quite far from the kang, and Lady Zhou, climbing on the kang, could barely reach the two with the broom handle.
Lady Zhou never left through the main gate nor stepped out of the second gate, and when she could sit on the kang, she would not co down to the ground. It was not because she was lazy, but rather this was just her temperant.
However, evidently today, the two brothers had underestimated Lady Zhou’s fury. Seeing that she wasn’t causing them pain, Lady Zhou simply did not even put on her shoes, ca down to the ground, and started beating Lian Shouren and Lian Shouyi with the broom handle, covering their heads and faces.
The brothers both raised their arms to protect their heads and faces as best as they could, while continuously begging for rcy.
Seeing this scene, Lian Manman quickly pulled Lady Zhang away, and little Wu Lang and Xiao Qi also ca out of the room.
Lady Zhou had only beaten Lian Shouren and Lian Shouyi a few tis before the broom handle headed towards Lady Gu. As the hostess, she was a bit slow to move, and imdiately started shrieking when hit.
Old Master Lian sat on the kang without saying a word, while Lady He only shouted from the side without stepping forward. In the end, it was Lian Lanlan, Erlang, and Sanlang who managed to hold Lady Zhou back.
The supported Lady Zhou on the kang seed to have lost all her strength and collapsed there like a pile of mud, bursting into tears once again.
In her weeping, there was a deep sense of despair and helplessness.
Lady Zhou probably understood what was happening as well, Lian Manman thought.
