The first Commander of the Federation’s invasion force erged, jumping into the chaotic battlefield filled with air transports and warships.

High-density neon green ADE swirled around the A.I Construct like a tsunami, attracting wide attention.
The aerial transports of the Geneforge Clans in the vicinity imdiately started beeping warning alarms as they detected the high-density ADE.
This was a D Rank Ascended!
The mont he erged out of the warship, he drew attention the sa way that Colonel Bam-Bam drew attention due to the sheer density of his ADE as instantly, over a dozen Geneforge transports that were nearest to him turned to focus their weapons on him.
They knew they could not let a D Rank Ascended loose in the city so even if it ant death, the soldiers were determined to stop him.
As the transports drew closer, their weapons aid at him even as the soldiers manning the transports also aid at the enemy Commander.
Seeing this, the A.I Construct didn’t panic even while he was surrounded by 13 enemy aerial transports.
Staring at the enemy transports, his erald eyes simply glowed as his ADE pulsed, activating an ability.
Feedback Burst!
A sudden blast of neon green ADE erupted outwards with him as the center, disrupting the electronics of all 13 enemy military transports surrounding him, briefly rendering them toothless.
BZZZT!
In that mont, all 13 enemy military transports lost power in mid-air!
It was like an EMP storm hit them.
This ant even their energy shields were deactivated, directly eliminating their greatest defense and making them sitting ducks before this enemy NetRunner.
They surrounded him, yet they couldn’t even shoot at him.
But despite the fact that the military transports were rendered defenseless in front of him, this NetRunner didn’t try to attack. He didn’t even wield any weapon to attack with.
Instead, his neon green ADE pulsed again as he activated another ability.
Neural Hack!
BUZZ!
His ADE blasted out and this ti, with all 13 military transports losing power, spiraling chaotically in the air, he easily brute-forced their cybersecurity defense and hacked their electronic circuitry, forcefully seizing control of their target systems!
He didn’t seize control of all systems of the transports but by seizing control of their target systems, he could dictate who they could attack and who they could not. They beca his servants.
The effect of Feedback Burst only lasted a few seconds.
The mont the transports regained power, the pilots of the 13 transports quickly brought the transports under control and then they noticed the anomaly.
They were alard but they could do nothing. They could only watch as against their will their weapon systems moved, locking on and targeting their own allies.
This was the power of a D Rank NetRunner!
It was too late to react.
The 13 military transports unleashed fire at each other!
BAM! BAM! BAM!
Bright red explosions blossod around the D Rank NetRunner as the 13 transports imploded, using their own weapons against each other!
Over a hundred soldiers were annihilated instantly!
Throughout, he didn’t raise a single weapon, he didn’t even move his body to attack. All he used was his ADE and his innate Class abilities.
He announced his arrival in this battle with an eye-catching display, and he didn’t stay in one place. He moved.
Neural Projection!
With hundreds of modern state of the art military transports around him, all built with state of the art neural interfaces, a NetRunner was in his hogrown with all his abilities uninhibited.
He could hop through all the transports.
While other Class Ascended didn’t have the qualifications to take part in this battle, Neural Projection ensured that even E Rank NetRunners could wreak havoc and create chaos because of their seamless mobility in a battlefield like this.
And just like that, the D Rank NetRunner began moving from one corner of this battlefield to another.
With the combination of his 2 abilities, he was inviolable in the aerial battle as he bulldozed his way through the forces of the gabase but then his eye-catching display finally caught soone’s attention... Colonel Bam-Bam.
Even as he also participated in the battle and attacked the invaders, as a Commander, Colonel Bam-Bam knew the importance of maintaining tactical awareness and this was why he mutated Eagle eyes earlier.
With his Eagle eyes, even while he fought, he observed and kept a keen eye on the battlefield around him.
When the opposing Commander’s actions beca too eye-catching, eliminating swathes of brown military transports, from the distance where he was, he finally set his eyes him.
Commander Bam-Bam’s eyes instantly narrowed into slits when he realized what was happening.
Watching how his soldiers imploded inside their own military transports and how the aerial war transports were forced to attack each other everywhere this NetRunner went, he knew he had to take action imdiately.
Among Ascended circles and the major factions of the world, it was common knowledge to not let a D Rank Ascended go loose in a large scale battlefield.
Without an opposing D Rank Ascended to stop the montum of an enemy D Rank enemy, a single D Rank Ascended could annihilate a whole army!
What was happening right now proved it.
With the combination of just those 2 skills, this NetRunner stayed unscathed while using the enemies’ own weapons against them, tearing them apart.
If left unchecked, he could singlehandedly be the turning point in this battle. And this was where the differences in Class ca into play.
Colonel Bam-Bam was just as powerful if not even more powerful but he simply couldn’t deal as much damage in this battle as the NetRunner, this was because he didn’t have the sheer mobility of a NetRunner to spread his damage far and wide in an aerial skirmish like this one.
This was what influenced his next decision. ’I have to stop him!’
With his eyes trained on the enemy Commander, though he was still unsure of his Specialization, he didn’t hesitate as he flapped his massive black bat-like wings and accelerated towards him like a missile.
His speed skyrocketed and broke the sound barrier in 2 seconds!
BOOM!
Colonel Bam-Bam moved not like a man but like a force of nature.
Despite the loud sound that was made by his movent, the NetRunner didn’t focus on him yet because loud sounds like this filled the battlefield.
As the Colonel moved towards the enemy from his blind spot, he aid at the NetRunner’s head and swung his Mace.
But just before he could arrive and smash the NetRunner’s head in with his Mace, the NetRunner saw him from the corner of his eyes and suddenly disappeared.
Neural Projection!
Colonel Bam-Bam’s Mace struck empty air.
Despite failing to hit his target, the Colonel was unfazed as spreading his wings and levitating in the air, his predatory eyes scanned everywhere even as all his senses began firing on overdrive.
Unlike other Classes who were pretty much blind when a NetRunner decides to hide, a Gene Augur’s ridiculous senses were exaggerated enough to sniff out a NetRunner even while hiding in the psionic network!
Bio-Scan!
His eyes took on a dark brown shade as they scanned rapidly.
Within less than a second, Colonel Bam-Bam sniffed out the NetRunner then he reacted.
He quickly pivoted towards his left where one of the gabase’s military transport was crashing after suffering an attack.
Out of nowhere, the enemy NetRunner suddenly materialized right in front of the crashing transport!
The enemy NetRunner was just a few ters away from him but Colonel Bam-Bam was not caught off-guard.
BZZZ!
His orange ADE erupted like a tsunami as he activated an ability.
tabolic Overdrive!
Colonel Bam-Bam’s speed skyrocketed as he swung his Mace with such incredible speed that his movents left a blur but mid-swing, before his Mace could hit the NetRunner’s head, the eyes of the NetRunner suddenly ignited with ghostly green fire.
Psionic Assault!
BOOM!
Colonel Bam-Bam felt his brain explode!
This was not a concussive psionic whip like Data Lash, this was sothing more. This was a crushing ntal assault that could directly crush the mind of a lesser Ascended, turning him into an idiot.
With a groan, Colonel Bam-Bam’s body shuddered as his hand that was in the process of swinging his Mace lost montum. His grip loosened as the Mace almost slipped off his grasp even as blood flowed out through his nose.
This was a devastating mind attack!
Colonel Bam-Bam was dazed but still, his rich combat experience and knowledge made him realize his opponent’s specialization.
’A Mindbreaker!’
Instantly, he knew that this was going to be a difficult matchup.
Still dazed and not knowing what was coming for him next, his combat experience made him instinctively choose defense as his ADE erupted again.
Bio-Armor!
His mutated body instantly beca coated in a thick brown turtle carapace like a suit of armor.
But the expected attack never ca.
Instead, when he opened his eyes, he saw Major Roshfield flying towards him, anxious and muttering incomprehensible words at him like she wanted to desperately tell him sothing.
He felt his heart skip a beat as his first instinct was to lean in and listen to her. ’What happened?’
For a brief mont, Colonel Bam-Bam was fooled but then his eyes ignited with orange ADE as he questioned the reality that he was seeing.
’When did Roshfield arrive?’ His eyes narrowed. ’And with all the skirmishes happening, instead of joining another fight to turn the tides around, why will she rush towards first?’
He snorted. ’An illusion!’
BZZZ!
His orange ADE flared violently.
Mutation- Acid Gland!
With his eyes trained on Major Roshfield, Colonel Bam-Bam’s face mutated.
His face turned green and ugly like a grotesque reptile monster as he arched his head back to gather montum and aid at the Major, then he spat out a thick torrent of green acid!
When this green acid ca out through his mutated throat, its sheer acidity and corrosiveness made the air twist, contract, then expand during its passage.
This acid was corrosive enough to lt through a warship’s hull!
As a D Rank Gene Augur of the Mutator Specialization, Colonel Bam-Bam could mutate his body for combat. He could mutate claws, wings, anything so long he had enough imagination, talent, and practice, and he could also create pure offensive acid glands.
Seeing the torrent of green acid accelerating towards him at almost point-blank range while twisting the air, the D Rank NetRunner felt all his danger instincts tingle as he felt a mortal sense of danger.
The velocity of the acid blast was extrely fast, yet he reacted faster even at point-blank range as his eyes ignited again.
Neural Projection!
The A.I Construct didn’t just dodge though, he dodged and counterattacked as he reappeared behind another nearby air transport.
His eyes glead.
Psionic Assault!
Once again, Colonel Bam-Bam despite being better prepared ntally this ti froze in mid-air as he felt like an explosion just detonated inside his head.
The A.I Construct still didn’t stop at that.
Neural Hack!
One of the nearest Geneforge warships was hacked!
This was not a re aerial transport vessel like before, this was a bonafide warship.
Of course, a D Rank NetRunner didn’t have the power to truly hack a warship especially when he was not of the Code Phantom Specialization, but this NetRunner was more than capable of hijacking just a few target systems of the warship.
The towering tallic vessel of war suddenly turned one of its Plasma Cannons towards the Colonel, then it pulled the trigger from afar.
Colonel Bam-Bam couldn’t dodge, so he didn’t even bother.
Unlike a D Rank NetRunner like the A.I Construct, a D Rank Gene Augur of the Mutator Specialization was more than equipped to tank a blast of superheated matter head-on.
It hit and the air rapidly expanded.
KABOOM!

While Colonel Bam-Bam was forced into a D Rank battle, Major Agakin continued wreaking havoc across the ranks of the Federation army uninhibited, but this didn’t continue for long as he was also finally intercepted.
There was no warning, no prelude to the attack. It just happened suddenly like a blast of thunder.

Major Agakin felt the sudden high density ADE converging above him and when he looked up, he saw a bald-haired Synth diving towards him with a long black Spear, surrounded by violently fluctuating purple ADE...
